So while I was away, I did buy makeup here and there. I was intrigued by the LA Splash liquid lipsticks so I picked up a few shades. There was many other shades that appealed to me but decided to just pick these colors to see how I liked them. I love and hate these, lol. Will tell you more on my review.

WHHHHEWIE! I'm sowie for being away but while I was away from me blog I was also busy shopping. It's been crazy in my world and needed some serious retail therapy. So here's what I've collected from the past few days.

These new NYX Prismatic eyeshadows are now available at Ulta for $6 a pot. So far, my first impression is wow, these are so pigmented and swatch beautifully! They feel so creamy! Need...to...get...more! It's currently on BOGO sale at Ulta right now.

Colour Pop Eyeshadows Swatches

I receive these in the mail about a month ago. Found them to be a little too sparkly to be testing them for review so I'm just going to go with the swatches and telling you what I think of them.

They arrived in a box and were carefully packaged. What strikes me as odd was that the eyeshadow pans were facing down instead of up. When I opened the package, one of the eyeshadow got a little loose and the other was damaged or not pressed properly. It looked like it was missing product cause the pan was not completely filled. I messaged Color Pop right away on their website, letting them know that I received a defective product and if they would kindly resend me a new one. Till this day, I have not heard a word from them or receive a replacement for the defective eyeshadow. So with that said, I think the customer service sucks because there wasn't any. I was ignored. This is pretty sad because otherwise, I have some good things to say about the products.

Each individual eyeshadow pan comes in its own box. They have a screw top cover and Color Pop is written with holographic characters, which is cool. Each eyeshadow contains .07 oz or 2.1 g for $5 each.

The reason why I wanted to get these eyeshadows is because of the texture. They have this buttery creamy texture but they look like powder when you apply it. I guess you can call it cream to powder finish. If you press on the eyeshadow, it will leave an indentation. They are best applied with your finger because it will get the most color pay off that way, granted I do think these have pretty good pigmentation, but the finger application just works best. You can definitely blend them with a brush if needed.

I wore So Quiche to a birthday party and it looked beautiful. I didn't notice any creasing or fading during the 4 hours that I had them on. When I got home, I took a nap and when I woke up, the sparkles were all over my face, lol. I don't know if that is only because I took a nap or if you may get fall out later with the sparkles but I thought I should mention it.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the product, the packaging, the way it was presented, the price, shipping...My main complaint and concern was the lack of customer service. There are other products from them I'd like to try but with my experience I'm hesitant to reorder. Has anyone else had any issues with customer service?

3 - medium brown with sparkling silver, blue, and pink shimmers. This is the one that was defective and as you can see, it looks like I am missing chunks of products but that is exactly how I received it. I did not drop or loose any products. Don't love it as much as I thought I would.

Animal - coral with sparkling gold shimmer. This is the kind of color that makes me think of summer.

Bae - dark plum with sparkling teal blue shimmers. Amazing! Everyone should get this one.

Cricket - shimmery greyish purple mauve with sparkling gold and pink shimmers. This is another beautiful shade that I would recommend.

Dare - dark bluish purple shimmer with sparkling blue and pink shimmers. If you like bold colors, you need this one.

I <3 This - light champagne with sparkling gold shimmers. So much prettier in person.

Juicier - bright shimmery yellow. The shimmers are subtle which is good. Ahhh I need to do a bold yellow look with this one!

Slave 2 Pink - bright neon pink with sparkling blue and pink shimmers. Wow this one is crazy, sparkly, and neon. My kind of color  :)

So Quiche - olive greenish bronze shimmer with sparkling pink shimmers. This one was just a little loose but everything is there so I just gently pressed it back to the pan. Highly recommend this shade because it's pretty unique. I've not seen anything like it. It's multi-dimensional and although sparkly, the color can be worn for a day time look.

Sugar - light blue shimmer with sparkling gold shimmers. Don't know what else to say. It's beautiful in person.

Revlon Photoready Eye Art Desert Dazzle and Peach Prism - Swatch and Review

I spotted these new Revlon products a few weeks ago at Walgreens. I had to do a double take at first because I thought they were nail polishes since they had some nail polishes that came in similar packaging. But as I take a closer look, the display mentioned that these are for eyes. They are a pair of cream eyeshadow and glitter eyeliner.

Packaging

• Cream eyeshadow on one side with a doe foot applicator. Glitter liner on the other side with a brush applicator.
• .1 oz or 3 ml

Product

• Desert Dazzle has a shimmery green gold cream shadow, which I thought was really pretty but applied a bit patchy. It gives you a few seconds to blend but sets fairly quick. It can be layered once or twice without looking cakey. The glitter liner is just a gold glitter. I find that the wet base did take at least a minute to set.
•  Peach Prism has a peachy pink metallic sheen. Sets fairly quickly so you want to work with it fast. The glitter liner is a bit holographic with color shifting from gold, green, and purple. 
• I find that the shadow and liner colors are nicely paired. The glitters are not over the top yet noticeable. They just had a little bit of glimmer along the lash line. You can definitely wear these during the day. 
• I usually have better luck with cream shadows in a pot but didn't find these too difficult to work with. They have good pigmentation, can be layered, and set within a few seconds. To my surprise, they lasted 8 hours without creasing and some minor fading at the end of the day. 

Final Thought

These are nice and manageable though I wished the cream shadow didn't set so quick and that the liner would set a little quicker. They last almost all day without a primer and don't crease, which is awesome. I didn't have any issues with the glitters, they pretty much stayed put where I applied them.

ELF Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows Swatch, Review, & Eye Makeup Looks - Party, Celebration, Festivity, and Soiree

I just caught myself snoozing! Boy, I really am more tired than I initially thought. I should probably take a nap. Here's another review for you before I go to Lalaland. Enjoy!


Packaging

• These eyeshadows comes in a clear acrylic jar with a black cap. 
• .11 oz / 3 g

Product

• The texture of these eyeshadows is soft, light, creamy, and cushiony. I find that the best way to apply them is with your finger. They are fairly easy to blend though I have a hard time picking them up with a brush. 
• They are a bit sheer but can be layered for better color pay off without looking cakey. 
• There is a lot of sparkles in them and they are more appropriate for evening looks or special event, although I think the lighter shades can be wearable for daytime. 
• With a primer, they wear up to 6 hours without creasing. After that, I notice some fading. 
• Party is a dark grey with sparkling silver, teal, and pink shimmers.
• Celebration is a bright silver with sparkling silver, teal, and pink shimmers.
• Festivity is dark plum purple with sparkling silver, teal, and pink shimmers.
• Soiree is a medium nude pink with sparkling silver, teal, and pink shimmers.

Final Thought

I wished they were more pigmented. They have an interesting light texture but I'm not completely in love with it. The sparkles can be a bit much for day time wear. They wear up to 6 hours without issues and start to fade afterward.

Bare Minerals Prime Time Shadows - Swatches and Review

A while a go, I purchased these primer shadows at my local Bare Minerals outlet store. They had a pretty good sale on them so I snatched 2 sets for around $15 each.

The first set I have here is called The Gold & The Beautiful. It contains 5 shadow primer. They are 1.5 ml/.05 oz each. They come in these little squeezable tube that reminds me of paint tubes.

Swatches from left to right:

• Sundance - shimmery light peach
• Silver Spoon - shimmery light silver with a bit of silver sparkles.
• Bronzed Twig - medium cool toned shimmery brown 
• Gold Nugget - medium shimmery gold
• Sandalwood - medium shimmery bronze

The second set is called It's Show Prime and contains 3 shadow primers of 3 ml/.1 oz each.

Swatches from left to right:

• Golden Peach - this one looks more like a pale shimmery gold. 
• Lavender Ice - pale shimmery lavender with a bit of silver sparkles
• Toasted Almond - medium light shimmery taupe. 

Final Thought

I believe these were limited edition sets and you may still be able to find them in store or on Amazon/Ebay. All the colors were beautiful and much prettier in person. They're not too bold so you can wear these every day if you want to. I typically wear them as a quick wash all over my lid.
Pigmentation is excellent. As far as texture, they do feel a little drier although I didn't have any issues with application. You need a good squeeze to get them out of the tube because they are thick. They spread out nicely and evenly but you have to work quickly because they set quickly.
Once they're on, they wear like iron. They won't budge, smudge, or crease until you take them off.
Overall, very nice primer shadows. I just wished they were a little creamier.

ELF Essential Smudge Pots Swatch, Review, Makeup Look - Crusin Chic, Aint That Sweet, Ocean Bound

What a day! Got a little shaken up this morning on our way to work with a minor car accident. A car pulled up from the Walgreen's driveway and ran into my car when he tried to make a left turn. I thought he totally effed up my car but miraculously only my tire and hubcap was scratched. He's got a dent on his bumper and broke his headlight. Could have been worst but thank God it wasn't. Still, it killed my mood for the day and I got to work late.

Other than this unfortunate event, I have a review to share about these beautiful cream eyeshdows...


Packaging

• Clear plastic jar with screw top.
• .19 oz or 5.5 g

Product

• Crusin Chic is a shimmery cool toned medium brown with a subtle gold sheen. It's a gorgeous neutral color. Definitely my favorite between the three. It applies easily and evenly and has good pigmentation.
• Ain't That Sweet is a shimmery pearlescent white with some pink shimmers in it. Very seashell like. This shade could have been a lot prettier but the pigmentation was lacking and applied slightly blotchy. 
• Ocean Bound is a medium shimmery blue with a grey undertone. I felt this color was a little drier than the other two and also applied a little unevenly. 
• The texture of these smudge pots is actually thin and buttery. I was a little surprised at how much slip I was getting at first but within a minute or so of applying them, they start to set, which give you plenty of time to blend and even out the application. You can apply 2 or 3 layers to even out application and build up the color without the shadow looking cakey and flaky. 
• Once they set, they last up to 6 hours before showing signs of fading and that's without a primer. I experienced a bit of creasing with Ain't That Sweet but the other two colors wore just fine. 
• They are easier to apply and blend with your fingers. Brushes just aren't effective with these. 

Final Thought

Formula, consistency, and pigmentation vary a bit between the shades but overall, I was surprised they lasted up to 6 hours without creasing and smudging. I would have liked the jar to be a little more wide so that I can dip my finger in it if I wanted to but since the opening is a little narrow, I avoid doing so that I don't end up with product under my nails. I normally use a spatula and scoop a little bit at a time.
