Zoya Blues - Breezi, Jo, and Mosheen

Few weeks ago, Zoya had a promo going where you could get 3 nail polishes for $12, including shipping.
It prompted me to place an order...I wasn't sure what I needed, lol, but after googling for swatches, I figured I liked these shades of blues...

Breezi is a medium slightly dusty blue creme. What I find interesting about this color is that it can look slightly teal depending on the lighting. So simple yet gorgeous and has a nice shine to it. The formula was not too thick or thin. Applied a bit patchy on the first coat but only needed a second coat for an even and opaque color pay off.

Jo is a medium periwrinkle blue with a subtle purple undertone and subtle light blue shimmers, giving it a pearlescent/satin finish. It's probably one of the most unique shade I have and my favorite out of the 3. If you love blues, I'd recommend you get this one. The formula is lovely and easy to work with. It yield full coverage in 2 coats.

Mosheen has a lightly bluish tinted base with lots of small holographic blue and teal bar glitters and small silver glitters. I have one coat of Mosheen on the swatches below over Breezi. It packs a decent amount of glitters and spread evenly. The base has just the right consistency. It looks prettier in the bottle I think.

So did you pick up any Zoya polishes with this past promo?

Zoya Monet

Monet has a very sheer lavender base with medium size iridescent glitters that shifts from blue to orange and green. The glitters look enchanting and very reflective in the bottle but they look less vibrant over a colored base. I find the clear base slightly thick but it picks up a good amount of glitters. You'd have to dab the glitters around in order to spread them out evenly. I like it but it feels a little plain. What do you think?

Zoya Pixie Dust Swatches

It's been a long Monday and I'm pretty tired. Better hit the sack early tonight or else I'm be looking like a zombie tomorrow.

Ready for another polish swatchathon? I hereby present to you my lastest Zoya Pixie Dust acquisition. Thankfully, I was able to swatch and draft this over the weekend.

Destiny is a flamboyant coral with gold shimmers. I just love how bright and sparkly it looks on my nails. It was released on their 2013 Pixie Dust summer collection.

Dhara is newly released for the fall 2013 Pixie Dust collection. It's a lovely orange textured polish with also gold shimmers.

Beatrix is lighter orange with more yellow to it and also has gold shimmers. It was part of the 2013 Pixie Dust summer collection.

Solange is a bright yellow gold textured polish. I find it to be much brighter and yellower in person than on my swatches. It was from their 2013 Pixie Dust summer collection as well.

Carter was just recently released with their 2013 Pixie Dust fall collection. It's a deep purple with bright pink shimmers/glitters.

And lastly, Arabella is a medium dark raspberry with pink, purple, and silver shimmers. The pigmentation of the base color yield such good color payoff that I only needed one coat for these swatches.

The formula was pretty consistent across the board. The application was easy and applied evenly. The color payoff was very good though Solange and Carter had a slightly less pigmented base. All except for Arabella needed just 2 coats. Like most textured polish, they dried also very quickly.

So far I've really been enjoying this textured polish trend. It's like adding candied sugar on your nails and I couldn't be happier to add these to my collection.

These are available on Zoya's website for $9.00. You may also find select colors at Ulta.

Zoya Haul

Hey everyone,

I know it's rare that I am absent from my blog but in case you were wondering, I am ok and I just needed a break and some time for myself. Work has been stressful. Kids went back to school and I've been busy running around to make sure they get everything they need. I shall be back to regular posting in the next few days.

In the meantime, I wanted to do a quick post on the new Pixie Dust that I received about a week ago. Zoya had a BOGO free promo not long ago and I was so excited because I had been waiting for such promo to get these.

Did you get anything from the promo?

Zoya Pixie Dust Vespa Swatches

I was curious to try out these new Pixie Dust finish from Zoya so I picked one out from my last trip to Ulta. I might get a couple more once Zoya has one of their promo going.

Vespa is a light sage green with fine silver glitters. I was able to get full opacity with two coats. You need a few minutes to allow the sugary, grainy, finish to appear as the polish dries. I'm quite liking how this looks on my nails. The silver glitters definitely adds more oomph and sparkle. It looks like I painted my nails with colored sugar, hehe. I feel that the graininess of the Pixie Dust is much finer and smoother than I expected. It feels much smoother than OPI liquid sand.

I used a top coat on the last picture, just so you can see how it would look like. So what do you think? Are you a fan of this finish?

Hauly Molly, Nail Polish Frenzy!

Hello Lovelies,

I wasn't expecting to be hauling this many nail polishes but found them, loved them, had to bring them home and show you guys.

I went to Ulta primarily to get the Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm, which was on sale today for $22.00 (originally $34). I got there 30 minutes after the store opened cause stupid me was stalling. The shade that would best match me, Vanilla Glow, was already completely sold out! Big UGHHHH! WHYYYYYY!? Anyways, I picked Nude Glow, which is the lightest shade and we'll see how that goes. I might have to go back and exchange it for the right shade once it's back in stock. I also returned the LORAC Ready, Set, Splash eyeliner set. The Redken Control Addict 28 was a free sample. Used a coupon that Ulta emailed me.

Aside from the BB cream, I picked up Zoya PixieDust Vespa. I thought it was interesting how it had silver glitters in it. I know you can't tell from the picture but it's there.

I also got another Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick in Gossip Green, which is a shimmery medium sage, much cooler toned than pictured. It has a light silvery shimmer to it. Really loving these Scandal Eyes eyeshadow stick. They are so creamy, pigmented, and they don't budge.

Made a pit stop at CVS. I used a $5.00 coupon for this Nicole by OPI All Is Glam, All Is Bright. They are currently on sale for $1.00 off. By redeeming the coupon, I only paid a couple bucks for it.

Stopped by Sally Beauty Supply because I was on the hunt for that Orly nail polish, High On Hope. It's a dark dusty blue with purple and gold shimmer reflects. Soo pretty in the bottle.
While I was there I found Finger Paints Fishin' For Fun and it sure looked fun so I picked it up as well.
The two China Glaze polishes I picked up were from the Cirque du Soleil collection and were on clearance for $3.29 each. I got Running In Circles and Water You Waiting For.

From left to right: Private Show, Over You, Watch Me Go

Lastly, I went to Wal-Mart to get some groceries and spotted these new Pure Ice and Hard Candy glitters. I was so excited I almost squealed, lol. Private Show looks like a potential dupe to Butter London The Black Knight. In case you were wondering, the Hard Candy polishes are $4.00 a pot. They have so many new and pretty shades that I almost wanted to buy them all.

Overall, I didn't do too bad on this haul. I got some good discount on half of the product I hauled.

Are you excited for the swatches?
