Hard Candy GlamoFlauge Lite Blendable Concealer Duo Medium Light - Swatch and Review

I am a fan of the Hard Candy Glamoflauge heavy duty concealer so when I spotted this new dual ended concealer, I was intrigued to find out if it is as good as the original.

Packaging

  • Dual ended concealer stick with a clear snap-on cap on each side. You twist on each end to retract the product. I think there's quite a generous amount of product.
  • .184 oz or 5.2 g

Product

  • I got the shade medium light and I think it works for my skin tone. One side is a cool toned medium light with a peach undertone and the other side is a warm toned medium light with a beige undertone. I thought it was genius incorporating the two.
  • When I swatched the concealers, they both feel creamy on my hand but when applied to my face to conceal dark spots or scars, I find them a bit dry. I wouldn't recommend these for under eye concealing as they tug and pull the skin in that area.
  • One thing that bothered me about the formula is that it doesn't set. So as I spot conceal and use a brush to blend it with my skin tone, the concealer would blend away, which defeats the purpose of concealing.
  • Also because the formula doesn't set, it fades completely within a couple hours of wear.

Final Thought

I like the packaging but these concealers don't conceal the way a concealer should and blend away easily and doesn't last. The coverage is light to medium. I'm pretty disappointed in this product. Their Glamoflauge heavy duty concealer is way better.

Hard Candy Nail Polish Swatch - Glitter Jam and Crush On Lava

I've passed by the Hard Candy display at my local Wal-Mart many times and they still haven't restocked that one lipgloss I've been wanting. It's been out of stock since March. I guess I'll have to drive around and check out other Wal-Mart cause it's getting hopeless now. Anyways, always had an itch to grab more of these Hard Candy polishes so I gave in and got two more.

Crush on Lava is a gorgeous duochrome polish. Wow! I really wished I picked it up sooner. It's a dark cranberry base with fuchsia/bronze shimmers. The color shift is very strong and noticeable. I needed 3 coats for opaque coverage. It applied streaky and patchy on the first coat but otherwise, the formula is fairly easy to work with.

Glitter Jam has a sheer jelly pink base and packed with pink, blue, and some green glitters. You would need 3 coats for opaque coverage. After I was done with the pictures, I noticed how much lighter my pinky nail looks compared to the others. I must have applied a thicker coat on the other nails. I'm also wearing a top coat on the swatches.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer Review & Swatch

TGIF! Today seemed like the longest day of the week. Maybe because I had to deal with so many issues at work.

I've used this concealer for a while but previously I had the light shade, which ended up being way too light for me. The product was getting old so I repurchased the medium shade this time. It's not an exact color match but it's much closer to my skin tone than the light version. The light would work best if you have very fair skin. The medium shade works better for light medium skin color. I like the fact that it has neutral undertone, which works better for my complexion.

Packaging
  • The concealer is packed inside a squeeze plastic tube. I find it convenient and practical.
  • A matching concealer pencil is also included, which is nice cause I like it. I would have liked it even more if they made a full size version of it.
  • .71 oz or 20 g for the tube.
  • .023 oz or .65g for the pencil.

Product
  • This is labeled as a heavy duty concealer and it does not disappoint. This is my do-it-all concealer. It's creamy enough that I can apply it on my eye area to conceal dark circles. It's thick enough and pigmented enough to cover spots, blemishes, redness, and discoloration.
  • Because it's so concentrated, a little goes a long way. I squirt just a little drop out it. I use a brush to apply and blend the product where I needed it, and then I go over it with my foundation.
  • Lasting power is great also. It last all day on my face.

Final Thought

This is one of the best drugstore concealer I've tried and definitely a favorite. It covers everything and can make me look flawless if I wanted to. Great for special occasions and photoshoot where you want your skin to look your best. It comes in 5 shades but for some reason my local Wal-Mart only sells 3 shades, which can be difficult to find a shade to match.

Hard Candy All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stain Mauveous - Swatch and Review + FOTD

Another tiring day but TGIF! Last night, after I came home from work, kicked off my work clothes, I passed out on the couch before I even got a chance to eat supper. Then woke up around 10 pm and was up till 1 am, then back to sleep again. Yeah, I'm weird like that, that's why I'm always tired.

I've been trying out this new lippie from Hard Candy for the past few days so I'm ready for a review.

Packaging
  • Jumbo twist up lip pencil
  • .11 oz or 3.2 g

  • Mauveous is a pinkish red gloss that reminds me of strawberry smoothie.

Product
  • It feels like a lightweight gel and applies smoothly. It's conditioning like a balm but with a little more slip to it and has the shine of a gloss. Looks very lovely when freshly applied.
  • It's quite pigmented
  • The formula feels comfortable on the lips but the shine doesn't last very long, like 2 hours at the most. Once the shine disappears, it loses its hydrating effect.
  • It leaves a good stain behind that last for hours but I did notice that as the stain fades, it starts to look patchy.
  • It has a sweet marshmallow scent with a bit of waxy scent. Not something I like but it's not overpowering and it seems to fade after 15 minutes or so.

Final Thought

I wished that the shine and hydrating effect lasted a bit longer. Otherwise, color and pigmentation is fairly good. Stains for a few hours but as the day progresses the stain looks patchier and lips look drier. Personally, I like it but don't love it. Scroll further down to see the lip swatch on my face.

Hard Candy Walk The Line Liquid Eyeliner Praline - Swatch and Review

Hello Lovelies,

Today, I'll be reviewing this eyeliner that I purchased at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago.

What Hard Candy Says about their Walk The Line liquid eyeliner...

A quick drying, liquid eyeliner that creates bold mesmerizing eyes with a precise brush for application. Available in rich metallic and sparkling glitter shades.

Packaging
  • Gorgeous. I love the swirl design on the cap.
  • Brush applicator. The brush was actually good and easy to work with since it wasn't flimsy and just provided the right amount of flexibility.
  • 3.3 ml or 0.112 oz

Product
  • Praline is a medium metallic taupe color with a very good pigmentation.
  • It was easy to apply but takes a minute to dry so be careful when blinking as you can get it elsewhere on your eyes
  • Budge-proof, smudge-proof, and fade-proof. Last all day until I take it off

Final Thought

Really loved and enjoyed using this eyeliner, my only complaint is that the formula takes a bit of time to dry. It's very pigmented and long lasting. I might have to pick up more shades.

Hard Candy Shadowholic 12 Hour Waterproof Eye Crayon Golden Rule - Swatch and Review

Hello Lovelies,

My hip is a little sore. I've had my sister and my kids beat on it for the past couple days and even though I ended up bruising a little, it sure relieved a lot of pain. Woke up a few times last night feeling a bit of pain and discomfort but I least I managed to get some sleep. I have to remind myself to really take it easy until my hip is completely healed because I would die if the pain comes back. I've been contemplating on getting acupuncture or see a chiropractor but we'll see how that goes.

Been seeing a lot of new Hard Candy products and packaging has been looking pretty attractive, which caused me to pick up a few items to try out. This eyeshadow pencil claim to be waterproof and last up to 12 hours. You know I just had to try it for myself to find out if that is true. I wouldn't want to miss out on a potential good product.

What Hard Candy says about their Shadowholic Eye Crayon...

Color your world with these rich, smooth 12hr waterproof eye shadow crayons. Vibrant, pearlescent colors that pop for a look that truly creates eye-popping drama. Longwearing color glides on effortlessly and sets in seconds without creasing, smearing or smudging. The easy-to-use, precise application makes it easy to touch up, layer or take your look from day-to-night.

Packaging
  • Probably the jumbo-est of the jumbo eyeshadow I've ever seen. I think it's cute though. I've included a NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencil next to it so you can see how much fatter it is.
  • Good thing it included a jumbo sharpener as well.

Product
  • Golden Rule is a bright shimmery gold
  • Pigmentation was alright but texture was very dry, which made the application a pain on my lids because it would pull and skip on my skin. I was able to get an even application in spite of the formula being dry. After a couple tries, I found that it applied just a little better after I sharpened it since the top layer is dryer.
  • The up side is once I got it to go on my lids, it won't budge, fade, or crease until I take it off and that's even without wearing a primer. As far as being waterproof, it does come off when in contact with water and if you rub on your skin. Otherwise, I prefer to use the term water-resistant.
  • I actually prefer to use this as a liner since it doesn't seem to pull and tug as much as using it as an eyeshadow.

Final Thought

If only it was just a tad creamier, this could've been a new HG product due to the fact that it is long-wearing, crease-proof, and budge-proof but the drier consistency of the formula is what turns me off since it just pulls and tug too much on my skin during application. Other than that, the pigmentation could also be better. It's not quite water-proof but definitely water-resistant.

Hard Candy All Lid Up Cream Eyeshadow Pining 4 U - Swatch and Review

Hello Lovelies,

Sorry for being MIA these past couples days. I've been feeling really sick. The pain on my hip came back worst than before. I was in such agonizing pain, I lost sleep and appetite. I guess it's safe to say it's 10 times worst than breaking my ankle, I wish someone would sedate me. I'm slowly getting better today and stretching a lot. I pray this doesn't happen again while my ankle is healing. I don't think I can handle another nerve pain. This pain is like second to giving birth I swear! Thank God for my sister, who's been there to help me out in time of need. I miss walking on my two feet and being out and about like a normal person. I hope these next couple weeks go faster. I'm so tired of being crippled and stuck at home. Sorry for whining, the pain was really depressing me out and I'm usually rarely sick.

Fortunately, I have a few posts I've already drafted, which makes it easier for me. I got an exciting review for you all. Today, I'll be reviewing this new cream shadow from Hard Candy. I purchased it at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago.

What Hard Candy Says about their All Lid Up Cream Eyeshadows

Vibrant, long wearing crème eye shadow lights up and enhances eyes. Our groundbreaking hybrid formula has a soft cushion texture that allows it to be worn as eye shadow or eyeliner. This crease proof, stay put formula is blended luminous, multi-colored pearls that provides glamorous evening looks. Available in 10 gorgeous, vivid shades!

Packaging
  • Clear plastic jar
  • .19 oz or 5.4 g

Product

  • Pining 4 U is a mossy golden green shimmer cream shadow.
  • The pigmentation was good but texture leans on the drier side; however, when rubbing my finger on the product, I was able to warm and loosen it up.
  • Not the smoothest or creamiest cream shadow to work with since it felt a bit dry but I was still able to blend it on my lids without looking patchy
  • Lasted over 8 hours, without smudging, fading, or creasing without a primer. That was quite impressive.

Final Thought

My only complaint is the drier texture of the formula, otherwise, I was able to make it work without too much effort. The consistency is similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoos though just slightly drier. It's budge-proof, smudge-proof, crease-proof, without the help of a primer and stays on your eyes until you take it off.

Rating: 8/10.

Have you tried these or will you be giving them a try?

Hard Candy Swatches - Party Central and Crush On Tin

Hello Ladies,

Finally, got my tax done. I've been stalling but now that I can't do anything with this broken ankle, I've made an effort to get that out of the way. Can't wait for my fat payment to arrive.

These past few days, I've been pretty drugged up on pain killers. Most of the time, they knock me out cause they make me sleepy. I should be working on my reviews but I haven't really been in the mood lately. The aches, pain, and side effects are making me useless. I guess I'm slowly getting over the fact that this is going to be a long, (boring), and slow recovery. Can't wait to get back on my feet without those damn clutches.

Anyhoo, I'll try my hardest not to slack too much on my blog. These are the newest addition to the Hard Candy polishes I purchased.

Crush On Tin is gooooorgeous! Don't know how else to describe it. It's a dark, murky, olive green metallic foil with gold shimmers. 2 coats. Applied like a charm.

Party Central, not to be confused with Hip Hip Hooray, though both do look similar in some ways that you probably don't need both. Here I did 2 coats with a top coat. I wonder why they made these two so similar.

I guess the only difference that I can tell is that Hip Hip Hooray has more larger glitters, more purple, and less white. It also has a slightly more purple-ish tinge to the clear base.

Hard Candy and Estee Lauder Haul

Hello Lovelies,

You know I gotta say the new display of Hard Candy products really got me wanting to try a few of them out. Some of the shades I wanted to grab were sold out so I guess that's another reason for me to go back and get some more at a later time. For now, this is was I was able to get my hands on...

Hard Candy Shadowholic Eye Crayon in Golden Rule. This has got to be the fattest eyeshadow pencil I have ever seen. It's kinda cute actually and conveniently included a sharpener made to fit. It claims to last up to 12 hours and being waterproof. Qualities I typically look for in eyeliners. We shall see how it performs.

Hard Candy Walk The Line Liquid Eyeliner in Praline. I love the packaging. So cute! Just had to try it. Praline is a metallic brownish taupe kind of shade.

Yeahhh, I grabbed two more polishes. Party Central kinda looks like Hip Hop Hooray in a way yet it's not exactly the same, haha. I'm gonna have to compare the two for you as I am curious to see how similar or not they are. Crush on Tin looks like the greener version of Chanel Graphite, which I loooove.

Hard Candy All Lid Up Cream Eyeshadow in Pining 4 U. These are supposedly crease-proof and long wearing. I cannot wait to test this out because if it is, I might have to grab a couple more of these, hehe.

My sister and I made a pit stop at the CCO last weekend and after looking around for a while, I grabbed only two items. Trying to stick with stuff I need. Ok so I didn't really need the Take It Away makeup remover at the moment; however, I do use makeup remover a lot and it's always good to have some back up.

I typically use powder just to set my foundation; however, I prefer to use powder makeup rather than translucent powders. It gives me more coverage and makes my skin look better too. This compact is bigger than the typical compact I've used in the past.

Stay tuned for reviews in the next couple weeks.

Have you tried any of the new Hard Candy cosmetics?
