OPI Muppet Most Wanted - Kermit Me To Speak and Let's Do Anything We Want!

The collection has been out for a couple weeks now I think but so far these are the only two polishes from the collection that I was interested in. You can find them at Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply, though I believe the quantity at Sally is very limited.

Kermit Me To Speak is a shimmery violet bronze duochrome. You could probably get a way with just 2 coats but I prefer to use 3 for good measure. The formula is not too thick or to thin and dries fairly quickly. It does show a bit of brush stroke but if you apply carefully and apply a top coat over it, it's not that noticeable. I find the color shift fairly strong. Very beautiful color.

Kermit Me To Speak Vs Next Stop...The Bikini Zone

On the left two finger nails I have Kermit Me to Speak and on the right two fingers I have Next Stop...The Bikini Zone. They are very similar in a way yet not quite the same either.
NSTBZ has pale gold shimmers, which seem to add more pizzazz to the overall look. It is also a bit more sheer. The duochrome shift is not as strong as KMTS and less bronzy and cooler.

Let's Do Anything We Want has squared white glitters and small pink rose glitters and small round white glitters. Very fun glitter I think. The clear base is slightly on the thick though still pretty easy to use and picks up a fair amount of glitters. I did have some difficulty getting the squared white glitters and had to fish for them but other than that, I really like it.

Here I have Let's Do Anything We Want over Kermit Me To Speak and I find that the two actually make a lovely combo. I am currently wearing this combo on my nails for the week. It's super cute and girly.

Finger Paints Shredded Chrome Collection Swatches

It feels like I haven't done nail swatches in like a long time. I have been rough with my nails and breaking or chipping them so waiting for them to grow seem to take forever. My nails are still short but starting to look more decent for swatches now.

About a week ago, I spotted this collection at Sally Beauty Supply. There are 5 shades but I only picked 3 out of them.

They are textured glitters and very sparkly. I found the formula to be pretty consistent in all of them.
The formula is thick and somewhat goopy, which made it pretty hard for me to spread out the glitters evenly. I would strongly suggest using some thinner to thin it out.

All the swatches below are done with two thin coats and it is pretty opaque on the second coat. The texture is very rough and that may also be in part because the formula is so thick.

Metallic Moondust is a gold and green textured glitters.

Fyrinnae Lip Lustre Ghostly Voice and Saloon Girl - Swatch and Review

Before I get on with this review, I'd like to thank Krista @ Yahoo Fashionate for mentioning my blog on one of her recent post in regards to the L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire liquid lipstick review I did a couple months ago HERE. If you're curious, you can view her post HERE.

A while ago, I purchased these Fyrinnae Lip Lustre trial size because I didn't know if I was going to like the product so I didn't want to invest on the full size just yet. I don't know what the deal is with Fyrinnae but they tend to close their website periodically. I wonder if they do so that they can catch up with their orders but that's really annoying. The good thing is the website is back up for now.

Packaging
  • Cute but very tiny tube.
  • 1.5 ml

Product
  • Ghostly Voice is described on Fyrinnae's website as silvery steel with a greenish cast and shifts to a soft rose hue depending on the lighting. I would say silvery steel with a teal and violet duochrome. It's an interesting shade for lips but the color is sheer. I tried layering over other lipsticks and it changes the color and consistency of the lipsticks. Giving it a greyish cast and making it a bit more creamy. Personally, I prefer using it alone. It's a bit on the frosty side but it's ok because I like that its unique color. Application is a bit blotchy but since it's sheer, not that noticeable.
  • Saloon Girl is a vampy brownish red. Also a bit frosty looking but doesn't bother me. This one tend to look blotchy too but if you apply carefully, it will minimize that. Color payoff is alright. I wished it was more pigmented.
  • I'm not very thrilled with the uneven application but then again, just be careful during application and you can make it work. The formula is very creamy and emollient. I also find it rather moisturizing and very comfortable on the lips.
  • I get around 2 hours of wear with them. They don't last very well and look even more blotchy as they fade.
  • They have a sweet, almost vanilla-ish scent to them.

Final Thought

The bad: uneven application and short wear time.
The good: hydrating and comfortable formula. Non-offensive scent.
Overall, I don't think these work for me. $2.00 is a bit much for a tiny tube with a somewhat ok application.

Rating: 7/10

Price: $2.00 for trial size, $7.00 for full size.

Wet n Wild Fergie Longwear Eye Pencil Ex-Stacey - Swatch and Review

Hello lovelies,

I have a few reviews I really need to work but these past few days I've been dragging my feet and feeling lazy. On the bright side, I've been getting more sleep lately. I'm starting to get into the habit of going to bed early. I'm even shocked that I'm able to get in bed by 10 pm or sometimes earlier though I still have to wake up a once or twice in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. At least, falling back asleep doesn't seem as difficult anymore. Part of this may also be due to daylight saving and because I've had to wake up earlier than my normal time because I've been sending my son to school before heading to work. In the end it worked out for the better. I'm not as sleepy or tired at work and I've been getting there early. My attendance definitely improved in the past few months.

Anyhow...let's move on this review.

Packaging
  • Traditional pencil that requires sharpening. Even though the packaging isn't fancy, it's definitely a huge improvement from their old eyeliner pencils. I like that the bottom and cap is color coded.
  • .04 oz or 1.2 g

Product

  • Ex-Stacey is a medium shimmery fuchsia. It looks beautiful on the hand swatch but on the eyes, it looks more dull for some reason.
  • What I like about the formula is that it is fairly creamy and soft, doesn't pull or tug. The pigmentation is good though you may need a second pass for more color pay off.
  • As far as lasting power, I think overall I'm pretty content. I get 6 hours of wear without transferring or smearing. Afterward it starts to fade.

Final Thought

This new pencil liner from Wet N Wild is no doubt a big improvement from their older eyeliner line, which was practically unusable for me. The formula is soft, creamy, decently pigmented, and last about 6 hours without transferring and smearing. I wish the color looked a bit more vibrant on the eyes otherwise, it's a pretty decent and affordable drugstore eyeliner.

Rating: 8/10

Essie Stroke of Brilliance Swatch

Happy St Patrick's Day! Sorry I got nothing green for yall. In fact, I didn't even want to post anything cause I'm just that tired.
I only had 4 hours of sleep last night and was up early cooking some stir fried green beans for our potluck at work. I'm ready to just lay my head on the pillow and will most likely pass out soon after.

So many posts I need to work on but I guess that'll have to wait another day cause my brain just can't think. This nail polish swatch has been sitting in my drafts for months now so I think it's time to post it up.

Stroke of Brilliance is a shiny glittery metallic blue with small and medium size glitters in a clear base. Here I have it paired with Forever 21 Love & Beauty Light Grey Lavender. I can't remember if I did just one or two coats but I do remember that the brush picks up a fair amount of glitters and it was pretty easy to work with.

What are you wearing on your nails? If you're out there celebrating St Patty's day, have fun and be safe.

K-Mart Store Closing Sale Haul and A Few New NYX Products From Ulta

My local K-Mart is closing down and pretty much everything is marked down from 20-40% off. The other day I only managed to look at the beauty isle cause I didn't much time on my hands but now I feel the need to go back and check other things I could use before all the good stuff are gone.

For the makeup and beauty. Most products were 40% off so I couldn't help but snag a few things.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks. I got the shades Fuchsia Orchestra (bright fuchsia) and Purple Prelude (light mauve purple).

Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in the shade Plum Luster. It's a pretty reddish/berry plum with fine fine pink shimmers.

I found this Maybelline Master Duo Glossy liquid liner and thought the shade looked interesting so I scooped it up as well.

Milani Nail Lacquer in Sugar Coated. They had another one like this but in pink. I wonder if I should get the pink one too.

L'Oreal nail polish in the shade Liya's Nude. Probably have a couple colors similar to this already. IDK why I got it. I guess the bottle looked pretty, heheh.

Elegance Is Innate, All Shine On Me, Meant To Be

These L'Oreal Extraordinaire Gel-Lacque are fairly new on the market and they normally retail for $8.00 so being able to get them for almost half price, got me excited. These were the only colors that were left when I got to it.

Yesterday, I was at Chuckee Cheese celebrating my niece and nephew's birthday. Because Ulta was just a few block down, I decided to stop by on my way home. I picked up one NYX butter gloss in the shade Raspberry Tart, 3 new NYX lip butter lipsticks (Hot Tamales, Pops, Licorice), and found OPI Kermit Me to Speak from their new Muppet Most Wanted collection.

I'm excited with these new products and will be busy putting them to the test for reviews.

Found any good deals lately?
