Ok I had a very good reason for this trip to Sephora. I received my $20.00 Sephora Reward card and I received a $50.00 Sephora gift card for participating with my insurance Health Risk Assessment program. So more beautiful things for myself. I'm stoked!
First and foremost, the main thing I wanted was The One (eau de parfum) by Dolce & Gabbana. I love the way it smells. It's a warm floral oriental scent. The fragrance is quite potent and last all day. It smells a bit powdery. It has a hint of sweetness and fruity notes. It's perfect for casual days.
When I smell this scent, I think of romantic, feminine, warm.
Notes:
Bergamot, Mandarin, Lychee, Peach, Madonna Lily, Muguet, Plum, Jasmine, Vetiver, Vanilla, Amber, Musk.
The packaging is simple and elegant but I don't really like the way it feels on my hand. It's wide and hard to get a good grip so not so easy to hold and spray with just one hand. This is a 1.6 oz bottle.
It also comes with a shimmery gold powder. Really cute packaging. It even includes a tiny sponge applicator.
The set also include a scented body lotion. It's weird how getting the set with 3 products cost the same as if you got the perfume alone so it's like getting freebies with the set. This 3 piece perfume set cost $82.00 and is exclusive to Sephora.
I've been wanting to try another cleansing oil but something more budget friendly. This Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil fit the bill. 6.4 oz for $15.00. Not too bad.
Sephora + Pantone Velvet Lipstick in Earth Red. Got it on sale for $12.00. It's sold out online but you may still be able to find it in store. It's very pigmentated, feels nice, and semi-matte. The color is just fabulous! Here's a quick swatch for ya....
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Icon mini, $10.00. I first heard about this lippie on Jemimah's Blog. Check out her swatch and review HERE if you're curious. The color is beautiful and I'm so glad that they had a mini version because the full size is $28.00 so I'm happy I can try a small version of it first. It's VERY small but I don't think I will ever use up half of the full size anyways so this will do. I will work on a review soon.
I redeemed 100 points for the Cover FX Mattifying Primer. Didn't see anything else interesting.
Lastly, they gave me some perfume samples. I love getting perfume samples but these two don't really interest me.
I got more hauls to show but I've been lazy editing my pictures. Did you receive your Sephora reward card? What will you or what did you get?
I have read so many reviews about D&G The One and I'll be checking it out real soon for myself. :)

I suppose scents are subject to personal taste and fragrances react differently on body chemistry. The only thing i dont like is that it is a bit powdery but otherwise there is a good balance between sweet, fruity, floral, and spices. I like the fact that it's a casual but classy scent that can be worn for any occasion. I think it will appeal more to women over 25. It smells mature and refined.
DeleteCan you do a review on the cleansing oil? :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely :)
DeleteOo...yet again! Even after the VIB sale! Haha! I totally want somethings from them, but I'm promising myself not to buy anymore make up goodies until next year. I seriously need to try a mattifying primer and also another cleansing oil!
ReplyDeleteI know right. My only excuse is that I had to use some gift cards lol. I promise no more until next year too, which is not too far in the horizon either hehe
DeleteThat D&G perfume set sounds wonderful!! I'm finally getting into facial oils but haven't tried a cleansing oil yet. I probably should since the winter weather is turning my skin so dry!!
ReplyDeleteMy skin and nose have been feeling very dry. It's been super cold lately. I love how gentle oils are.
DeleteYou got the Hourglass lippie! awesome! I am sure you're going to enjoy it specially since its the Holiday season :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the color :)
