Easy DIY Bracelet Tutorial - Braided Beads

I've been obsessed with arm candies lately and decided to google tutorials and ideas. Credits for this tutorials goes to http://honestlywtf.com/diy/diy-beaded-bracelet/. Check out their site if you haven't already because there is a lot more tutorials.
My version of it is slightly different because I used jewelry clasps instead of a button.
So pretty much all you need is
  • Cord
  • Beads
  • Jewelry clasps

Step 1
Cut three 16" strings and tie them together in a knot on a jewelry loop like so.

Step 2
Use a piece of tape and secure the loop to a flat surface

Step 3
Insert a bead into one strand and start braiding. Each time you braid a string, insert a bead and weave the strings like pictured.

Step 4
Continue braiding the beads into the cords until you are satisfied with the length and it fits your wrist to your liking.

Step 5
Insert the strings into a jewelry clasp and tie a secure knot. If you want you can apply some glue to secure the knot and prevent the strings from coming apart.

The process takes approximately 15-20 minutes and you're done! Simple as that. I just love how simple this is and doesn't require a lot of material.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Let me know what you think and if you have a DIY bracelet tutorial, please let me know so I can check it out.

If You Don't Love it, Put A Ribbon On It

So I've been wanting to get a little crafty lately since I've been enjoying bracelet stacking. Couple weeks ago, these were two plain large bangles that I bought from this one store at the mall for only a dollar each. The way the bracelet was cut out, actually would allow you to weave something in between so I decided to get them for this simple DIY project.

I bought this teal ribbon for only a couple bucks and just weave it through. It was really easy and only took me like 5 minutes to complete it. I thought it would be cute to add a little bow. I'm very happy with how this one turned out.

As for the silver bangle, the pattern of the cut out was different. I forgot to take a picture of how it looked before I started. I used a roll of pink gift wrapping ribbons and with the same concept, just weave through it. It did take me a little longer to complete this one because I had to do it in 3 rounds. Because this is just a gift wrapping ribbon, I didn't do a bow like how I did with the gold bangle. I don't love this one as much as I love the gold bangle but nonetheless, this was a fun way to add color and oomph to a boring plain bracelet.

Ever tried DIY project with jewelries?
