I was supposed to review these a long time ago but this post have been delayed so with no further ado, here it is! All the pictures took me a long time to finish but it was definitely worthwhile.
Packaging
- Jumbo twist up pencil. The shape and size of it is exactly like the Revlon Balm Stains. The only difference is that the Revlon Balm Stains have a silver cover at the end.
- .095 oz or 2.7 g, also the same amount of product as the Revlon Balm Stains.
Product
- I find that they glide nicely and easily on the lips without having too much slip. The glossiness last about 3 hours but the stain can last up to 12 hours or more depending on the shade. Well actually, I find them all giving a fair amount of staining power, particularly the darker shades. The only one that didn't really stain much at all was Nude Chic. They do fade a bit unevenly.
- In terms of pigmentation, I think they do offer a fairly good pigmentation in spite of having a bit of translucency in them.
- They are very comfortable and feel hydrating up until the glossiness fades. You will likely need a lip balm or reapply if your lips are starting to feel dry.
- They have a sweet fruity scent, which I don't mind.
Final Thought
These Jordana Balm Stains are definitely comparable to the Revlon Balm Stains and I think they are actually slightly more moisturizing. In spite of the uneven fading, overall, I think these are a hit with a very nice price tag attached to it.

Did you already snag some for yourself? If not, which one will you get?
Rock n Rouge is a cool toned bright red cherry color.
Tropical Frenzy is a blue base bright pink, almost neon.
Sweet Pink is also a blue base pink, similar to Tropical Frenzy but less bright. When I swatched them on my arm, I thought they looked almost identical but on the lips, you can definitely tell the difference.
Nude Chic, this one was interesting because it had light reflecting silver shimmers in it giving your lips a slight frosty shine and finish. I've been reaching for this one a lot! It's like my lip but better.
Terra Crave is a lovely light brown with a bit of red undertone to it. It's gorgeous and so easy to wear. Perfect for daytime looks or the office.
Honey Love is a pinkish nude brown. It's demure and very flattering.
Cranberry Crush is a medium raspberry color. A bit brighter than I anticipated so the name is a bit misleading but I love the color nonetheless.
Oooo I might have to look into these! Where can you get Jordana in stores besides Walgreens? I'm really digging those last two colors; Honey Love and Cranberry Crush
ReplyDeleteThese are good, especially at the price. Jordana is also available at K-Mart, Duanereade, and Save Mart Supermarkets. Otherwise, you can purchase online on their website.
DeleteI super love all the colors and the pigmentation. Makes me want to forget Revlon Just Bitten balm stain! LOL! All the colors suit you well!
ReplyDeleteI only own 4 Revlon balm stain but since these were more affordable and I got them on sale, I grabbed almost all of them lol. I really do like these.
DeleteThese look amazing! I want to get them all even though I've stopped buying drugstore makeup (I find that even after I buy drugstore makeup I tend to use the high end stuff anyway). Thanks for all the swatches!
ReplyDeleteMaybe one or two won't hurt, hehe. I know what you mean. I have a lot of stuff that are collecting dust.
DeleteI'm really picky about what I put on my lips, pretty much devoted to Maybelline 24hr lip color or balm because I can't stand transfer/smearing. I love these. I much prefer them to the Revlon ones, they are more comfortable on, especially over time and with reapplication.. do not transfer as much, barely at all... and since I'm not a fan of mint I prefer the flavor. They are half the price as well and who doesn't like that? I was disappointed in Soft Pink because I really wanted the color on the tube and it is so much brighter.. but I found if you layer the nude over the top it's exactly the right color. I do wish the cranberry was deeper. I'm glad you swatched the red, it's closer to cherry on than the tube so I will grab that one as well, I skipped it because I had plenty of bright reds. You are missing one too, Candied Coral.
ReplyDeleteYes I know I am missing one. I don't know why I didn't just buy it anyway but I guess probably because I already had 2 coral colors from the revlon balm stain. I agree that they do feel more comfortable than the Revlon balm stain and for half the price, it got me pretty excited.
DeleteLove ALL of these on you, but especially nude chic! I think you got a great deal :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all great but Nude Chic is probably my favorite cause it's so convenient and versatile. I also like that the stain isn't too overpowering.
DeleteI bought 5 of them and I really like them. My fav is sweet pink. Great review and pics!
ReplyDeleteTake Care!
Agreed! They smell nice, they look nice, they feel nice, and they are probably the most affordable balm stain on the market.
DeleteThey look freaking awesome! I wish we had a wider range of glossy stick balms to choose from! I love the last two shades!
ReplyDeleteThey sure made it quickly into my favorites :). Yeah it's too bad they are not sold in many places.
DeleteUm, I most DEFINITELY need these! Love all of your pics! I'm in love with the Revlon balm stains so I'm really happy to see a cheaper dupe.
ReplyDeletedare I say they are better than the Revlon balm stain. They are more comfortable and more hydrating in my opinion.
DeleteOh wow, these all look good!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love them :)
Deletethe colors are so intense and beautiful!

Thank you. They are pretty good balm stains. I'm so happy to have them.
DeleteOmg. This is amazing. But unfortunately Jordana isn't available in my country and I have to get them online while the price after shipping etc makes it the same with Revlon. Wish I could get them with that price, it won't hurt my pocket
ReplyDeleteaww I hear you. There are certain things I don't order from other countries because of the shipping cost. Then again, I hate to admit that for the most part I think we have some of the most competitive prices here in the US when it comes to beauty related products.
