Colour Pop Eyeshadows Swatches

I receive these in the mail about a month ago. Found them to be a little too sparkly to be testing them for review so I'm just going to go with the swatches and telling you what I think of them.

They arrived in a box and were carefully packaged. What strikes me as odd was that the eyeshadow pans were facing down instead of up. When I opened the package, one of the eyeshadow got a little loose and the other was damaged or not pressed properly. It looked like it was missing product cause the pan was not completely filled. I messaged Color Pop right away on their website, letting them know that I received a defective product and if they would kindly resend me a new one. Till this day, I have not heard a word from them or receive a replacement for the defective eyeshadow. So with that said, I think the customer service sucks because there wasn't any. I was ignored. This is pretty sad because otherwise, I have some good things to say about the products.

Each individual eyeshadow pan comes in its own box. They have a screw top cover and Color Pop is written with holographic characters, which is cool. Each eyeshadow contains .07 oz or 2.1 g for $5 each.

The reason why I wanted to get these eyeshadows is because of the texture. They have this buttery creamy texture but they look like powder when you apply it. I guess you can call it cream to powder finish. If you press on the eyeshadow, it will leave an indentation. They are best applied with your finger because it will get the most color pay off that way, granted I do think these have pretty good pigmentation, but the finger application just works best. You can definitely blend them with a brush if needed.

I wore So Quiche to a birthday party and it looked beautiful. I didn't notice any creasing or fading during the 4 hours that I had them on. When I got home, I took a nap and when I woke up, the sparkles were all over my face, lol. I don't know if that is only because I took a nap or if you may get fall out later with the sparkles but I thought I should mention it.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the product, the packaging, the way it was presented, the price, shipping...My main complaint and concern was the lack of customer service. There are other products from them I'd like to try but with my experience I'm hesitant to reorder. Has anyone else had any issues with customer service?

Please scroll down below for swatches and description of the shades that I got.

3 - medium brown with sparkling silver, blue, and pink shimmers. This is the one that was defective and as you can see, it looks like I am missing chunks of products but that is exactly how I received it. I did not drop or loose any products. Don't love it as much as I thought I would.

Animal - coral with sparkling gold shimmer. This is the kind of color that makes me think of summer.

Bae - dark plum with sparkling teal blue shimmers. Amazing! Everyone should get this one.

Cricket - shimmery greyish purple mauve with sparkling gold and pink shimmers. This is another beautiful shade that I would recommend.

Dare - dark bluish purple shimmer with sparkling blue and pink shimmers. If you like bold colors, you need this one.

I <3 This - light champagne with sparkling gold shimmers. So much prettier in person.

Juicier - bright shimmery yellow. The shimmers are subtle which is good. Ahhh I need to do a bold yellow look with this one!

Slave 2 Pink - bright neon pink with sparkling blue and pink shimmers. Wow this one is crazy, sparkly, and neon. My kind of color  :)

So Quiche - olive greenish bronze shimmer with sparkling pink shimmers. This one was just a little loose but everything is there so I just gently pressed it back to the pan. Highly recommend this shade because it's pretty unique. I've not seen anything like it. It's multi-dimensional and although sparkly, the color can be worn for a day time look.

Sugar - light blue shimmer with sparkling gold shimmers. Don't know what else to say. It's beautiful in person.

Darling Girl Cosmetics Eyeshadow Swatches & Eye Looks

Hello lovelies,

This is a long overdue post. I purchased these eyeshadows back in August and sort of just forgot about them. The reason why I decided to place an order is because of the overall good reviews I've read about the company and that they also make complex shades.

They are available at http://www.darlinggirlcosmetics.com/, which is an indie makeup company.
I purchased only the small packaging, which are packaged in a 3 g jar that included a sifter. I personally prefer not to have a sifter. There is approximately 1/4 teaspoon of product and they cost $2.50 each. I like the fact that they are clearly labeled and each shades comes with interesting names.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my purchase. I can't remember if they came in a box or padded envelop but the products are wrapped in tissue paper like so. I purchased 14 eyeshadows and received 2 free sample, an eyeshadow and a lipgloss. The only thing that may be problematic to some people is that they take pretty long to process the order. It took almost a month for me to receive my package from the time I placed the order. So if you're not in a rush and don't mind the wait, I think in the end, it's worth a try.

The individual swatches are done over a primer. The group swatches are done with Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy as base. The eyeshadows are much more vibrant with a tacky base like Pixie Epoxy. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful they look in person.

Beso De La Muerte - greyish brown with subtle bronze shimmers and pink micro glitters.

Creature From The Black Lagoon - shimmery teal with teal and gold shimmers.

Hell Hath No Fury - shimmery magenta with purple shimmers.

Holy Shitake! - medium mauve with pink shimmers

Leaping Lizards - greyish blue with pink and purple shimmers

London Fog - rose gold shimmers with copperish shimmers

Mischievous - medium shimmery mauve with teal duochrome shimmers

My Little Pony - shimmery lilac with duochrome teal shimmers

Nerpette - dark purple with shimmery blue duochrome.

Scry Harder - shimmery graphite with green, gold, and pink shimmers.

Seven Days Later - shimmery dark greyish blue with blue shimmers.

Swag - shimmery grey with blue, pink, and teal multi-chrome.

Tapestry of Obsenities - light shimmery taupe with rainbow shimmers. The colorful shimmers are so hard to capture on camera.

Unicorn - iridescent pinkish white shimmers with silver shimmers. It was hard to capture the different dimension of this color.

Woogy - shimmery dark brown with rainbow shimmers.

My Beauty Addiction Cosmetics Lipsticks and Lip Paint Swatches

The other day, when I told my son that I was expecting a package in the mail, he asked if it was makeup and I said yes. And he also asked why do we girls have to have so many colors and I said, because of the different texture and formula they come with. And he said "So it's like Pokemon but for makeup, gotta catch them all!" lol.

I am back with the swatches on my recent haul with MBA Cosmetics lipsticks and lip paint products. If you missed the haul post, you can view it HERE for more pictures and other details.
My swatches varies a bit from the seller's swatches. I find them similar in color but their seem to be more opaque, smoother, and more vibrant than mine. Other than that, I am still pleased with the creaminess and color payoff of these unconventional lip colors. Some have a thicker texture than others but they're all creamy and easy to apply and have a dose of shine to them. They are unscented but I can detect a subtle synthetic scent to them. They have no taste. I can't attest to how long they wear since I didn't test their longevity.

They come in a jar packaging (5 g for $5.50), slim tube (3.5 g for $5.00), or lipstick tube ($7.50).

Indigo HD Lip Paint Jar (5 g)- dark bluish purple with a sheen. It looks a bit more purple on me than the swatch on the seller's website. It also looks bold and shiny. Formula is very creamy and has a very good color pay off. This one will leave a pink stain behind.

Kohl Color Rich Lipstick Jar (5 g) - opaque black lipstick with a cream finish. It feels a little thicker but still has a creamy consistency that makes it easy to apply. It's perfect for mixing with other colors if you want to darken them.

Skooldayz HD Lip Paint Jar (5 g) - bright primary yellow with a cream finish. I was afraid that it might apply patchy because of the color but to my surprise, it had a pretty even application. The formula is a little thicker but creamy and very pigmented.

Emerald Color Rich Lipstick sample - It's a medium emerald green with a frosty/metallic finish. It looks a bit darker on the seller's website swatch but lighter on me. Surprisingly, I really liked how it looks but I would prefer it a bit darker. I will have to mix it with Khol or Breathless to get the color I want. Formula is creamy and very pigmented.

Glamazon Color Rich Lipstick sample - a shimmery pale gold with a frosty finish. Color is pretty close to the seller's swatch. Formula is creamy and pigmented. Because it's a lighter shade, I find that it will highlight dryness and creases on lips. Definitely need to exfoliate and prime lips prior to applying this lip color. I've always wanted a gold lipstick, this one is a bit pale for me. I think a deeper gold will look more flattering.

Gunmetal Rich Lipstick sample - black with silver shimmers and frosty/metallic finish. I wished it was lighter. It looks more black than grey and it is just a smidgen lighter than Kohl. I can barely tell the difference between the two. The shimmers in Gunmetal are also quite subtle. Both are very shiny and look too similar I think. If you get one, you probably won't need the other. Formula is creamy and pigmented.

Heliotrope Color Rich Lipstick Slim Tube (3.5 g)  - medium berry pink with a purple undertone and subtle pink shimmers. It's not as deep or as intense as the seller's swatch. I had to warm up the tube and swiped 2 or 3 layers in order to get the flow of color going. It's fairly creamy and has good pigmentation. I love the color though I wished it looked more like the seller's swatch.

Breathless HD Lip Paint Slim Tube (3.5 g) - Dark greyish blue with a slight metallic sheen. It's definitely not as blue or as intense as the seller's swatch but it's still a gorgeous unique shade nonetheless. Formula is creamy and pigmented.

Sugar Babies Jojoba lip glaze in the shade Candy Baby (free sample) - this is a light baby pink with a silvery sheen to it. The gloss feels a little thick but applies smoothly, has good pigmentation, and doesn't feel sticky. It has a sweet candy smell to it, like cotton candy. I'm usually not fond of frosty pink shades but this one doesn't look too bad on me I think.

Candy Baby

Watchu think? Would you try any of these?
