Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks Sandalwood Beige and Copperglow Berry - Swatch and Review

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you had a wonderful week-end. Mine was rather relaxing and as usual I did a little bit of shopping and I've been busy prepping more posts for my blog. I scored these two Revlon lipsticks from CVS's clearance a few days ago for 75% off and wanted to share with you swatches and reviews.

Sandalwood Beige is a muted coral brown shade with a cream finish. It's quite creamy and applies without pulling. The pigmentation is also great and I can easily get opaque coverage. The wear is also pretty good. The color looks fresh within the first 4 hours and during that time frame it also kept my lips comfortable and fairly hydrated. I've also noticed that even after a meal, the fading is minimal. After 6 hours, even though it has faded a bit by then, I was impressed that there was still a considerable amount of color left. Most lipsticks I used are almost or completely gone in 5 hours or after I have a meal. If you dig the shade, I'd recommend you get it. The formula is excellent.

Rating: 10/10

Copperglow Berry is a lovely shimmery plum with a hint of coppery shimmers. It's similar to MAC Baron's Rose and MAC Funbathing, both are limited edition. The finish of Copperglow Berry is just a bit different and less glossy. It's labeled as a pearl finish and I found it to be pretty frosty. I still love the shade though. It feels creamy and applies smoothly with a fairly decent pigmentation. Almost opaque coverage. As far as moisture, it was ok. It keeps lips comfortable and moisturized for a few hours. I get up to 4 hours of wear before it starts fading.

Rating: 9/10

Revlon makes some of the best drugstore lipstick formula and I'm very pleased with these two lipsticks. I wished Copperglow Berry was just a little less frosty and I love that they are unscented so I don't have to worry about weird smelling or tasting lipsticks.

Price: $5.00-$8.00
Availability: Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target

Did you shop the CVS clearance sale?

  3. They both look so even in how they apply but they aren't shades I'd go for! I want pinks and nudes right now!
