Collective Haul and Swatches (Pic Heavy)
WHHHHEWIE! I'm sowie for being away but while I was away from me blog I was also busy shopping. It's been crazy in my world and needed some serious retail therapy. So here's what I've collected from the past few days.
These new NYX Prismatic eyeshadows are now available at Ulta for $6 a pot. So far, my first impression is wow, these are so pigmented and swatch beautifully! They feel so creamy! Need...to...get...more! It's currently on BOGO sale at Ulta right now.

Ulta Haul
Yep another haul. It's funny how I don't have time to mess with makeup yet I still can't stop shopping for it.
I've been extremely busy and I can safely admit that I've not been procrastinating but burned out instead so I hope you don't mind if not giving you a lot of details but as always if or when it gets to be reviewed, I will be as thorough as can be.
Surprisingly, I didn't really find many things that I wanted or needed to buy.
If you weren't already aware of it, Jane cosmetics is now available at Ulta. As far as I'm concerned, it is probably the only store in my area that sell this line. They were on BOGO 50% off so I got a cream eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner.
I've been curious about this spot acne treatment. My daughter still has some occasional break outs so we decided to give the Mario Badescu drying lotion a try. Lucky for me, my skin has been behaving lately but who knows the next time one is going to pop out. I'll be armed and ready.
Do I really need another set of lashes...probably not but my daughter felt like she needed this. I asked why did you get this and she replied "well it says it glows in the dark so I thought that was cool"...Ohhhh ok!! I tried to see if it really works and it does but the glow is pretty weak so it doesn't seem to do much good.

Small K-Mart Haul
Hello lovelies,
Wasn't sure if I was going to make it here tonight but had to try. Every Monday nights, I have to drive my oldest to school, that is 45 minutes away from home and then we don't get back home until 9 pm, that is when his class end so by the time I get home it's pretty late. I passed out pretty much as soon as I got home last night.
Today, I stayed a bit late at work to makeup for the time I left early on Monday and then I had to stop by to buy groceries so by the time I got done with supper it's pretty darn late...Again! Ugh! Story of my life.
Here, I am trying to quickly post this haul for yall before I either pass out or forget.
I saw a few cool Lash Dress from Kiss, $2.99, but I only picked the flowery design. Looks very cute on the model. I hope it looks the same on my eyes.
Ok so I don't need a brush I just wanted it. The ELF small stipple brush is only $3.00 and seems to be well made. The bristles are soft and firm and it would be perfect for blushing and even maybe contouring.
One of my favorite time to buy lashes is around Halloween and I love this set, $3.99. The top lashes are spikey and long and I love that it comes with bottom lashes. This sure is going to add some extra drama on the eyes. I have to do a makeup look with these.
Stay tuned cause I will be posting swatches for the nail polishes shortly.

Gimme Some Kiss(es), Compliment of Influenster
I'm stocked to have won another brand challenge with Influenster and these are my prize from Kiss. Take a look...
Kiss Premium Eyelashes with Applicator Strings...Never tried or thought that I would need applicator strings but I can't wait to find out if they are any easier to apply.
Kiss Everezlashes Strip Lash Adhesive. If I knew I was going to get these I probably wouldn't have bought the Ardell clear lash adhesive at Sally Beauty. It's cool though!
And lastly, the Kiss Gradation Polishes. Colors are not too bad but I like the idea that you can create a beautiful gradient nail with this set.
I'm very happy and excited with my new goodies. Thank you Influenster and Kiss for the opportunity to try these products.
Have you tried any of these? If yes, tell me what you thought of them?

My New Phone and Some Miscellaneous Stuff I Hauled
Yep, I'm starting off with the highlight of my week. I finally got a new phone! My Blackberry Torch has lasted me well for the past couple of years but it was really slow and annoying that I couldn't wait to replace it. I got the new Samsung Galaxy S4 and I'm loving it! The only thing I struggle with is typing on the screen. I still have a lot to learn about this phone and I've been playing with it all week trying to get familiar with it. I purchased two phones that day, the S4 and the S4 Active, which is supposedly waterproof. Originally, the S4 active should've been mine and the S4 for my son but the Sale dude transferred my contacts to the S4 and I didn't realized that until a few hours later...FAIL! Anyhoo, that's ok, in the end it worked out. I'm still happy with the S4 and perhaps it was a better idea to let my son have the S4 Active. This phone is so much bigger than my old one. My short fingers can barely wrap themselves around it. It is also very slim and lightweight. One thing that annoys the crap out of me is that this phone is a magnet to finger prints. I just ordered some cases and screen protectors.
From Hautelook, I snagged these Bucco Doca sneaker wedge in the color Pewter Metallic. I got the size 8 like I normally do. They feel just a little snug on me but still comfortable. I'm not particularly attracted to sneaker wedges style but I digged this pair because I thought they looked cool with the opened cut and strappy buckles. They're also very light and the wedge is not too high. They were $34.00 plus shipping.
From Sally Beauty Supply, I picked up these Ardell lashes because I like how soft and natural they look.
I also needed another lash glue because my Revlon lash glue was getting pretty goopy and messy so I went with the Ardell Brush-On Striplash Adhesive. I also bought a couple nail polishes from the clearance rack but will do a separate post on them :)
Stay tuned for more hauls and swatches :)

Wet N Wild Three's A Party & Ardell Color Impact Demi Wispies Blue - Haul, Swatches, Eye Looks
A couple days ago, I stopped by Walgreens to see if anything new popped up. I found a display of the new and limited edition Wet N Wild Pop Art Craze collection, which features bright and colorful eyeshadow trios. Yes, I wanted to pick a few but certainly didn't need them. In the end, I settled with just Three's A Party. I mainly picked it up for the red eyeshadow, lol. As you know, red eyeshadows is not the typical color you'd find sold in most places, which justifies my need to have it. I paid $3.29, I thought it was kind of an odd number but that's what's on my receipt.
The browbone color is white with an almost matte finish. It's quite soft and fairly pigmented.
The crease color is a true red, almost matte with some subtle shimmers. It has a fairly good pigmentation but isn't as soft as the browbone color and felt a little drier.
The eyelid color is a matte black. Not the blackest black shadow I've had but it's nearly there in terms of pigmentation. It also had a soft texture.
I found all three shade to be a little powdery. I had a bit of hard time blending the black shadow but that could also be because of the Urban Decay primer that I used.
For this eye look, I didn't want the crease color on the crease so instead I applied the red all over my lids and did a smoked cut crease with the black eyeshadow. I decided to have a little fun with the eyebrow so I first applied the black eyeshadow and then went over it with the red. Next step, I lined my lash line and waterline with a black eyeliner and smudge a bit of that black eyeshadow on the lower lash line.
I finished the look by applying the white eyeshadow on the browbone and adding some false lashes.
I ended up really liking this look. It's very bold, edgy, and Gothic. Probably not everyone's cut of tea but the main idea here was to show you how all this trio looks like together. Get this trio if you plan on being a vampire for Halloween.
Next thing I scooped up from Walgreens was the Ardell Color Impact eyeslashes. They had 4 different colors but for some reason the blue stood out for me more. They are $5.99 a pair.
Not all of the lashes are blue. There's a mix of black and blue, which gives you a little bit of color without looking over the top. Here's a how they look on my eyes. I don't like that the band is white and it looks pretty obvious on my eyes. You'll need to apply a liner over it in order to cover it up. Secondly, these lashes look a bit unnatural on me. Scratch that, they actually look a little crazy on my eyes. Not the color, just the way they flip out.
On my eyes, I'm wearing a shimmery gold beige eyeshadow on the lid and a dark greyish blue on the crease and outer V. A dark blue eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line. I added a bright shimmery blue liner on the bottom for just a little pop of color.
On this picture, I trimmed a bit off of the inner corner lashes and I like it much better that way. Looks more flattering now. This eye look has a bit of color yet it's subtle and very daytime friendly.
What do you think? Would you try color lashes? Did you or will you pick up anything from the new Wet N Wild Pop Art Craze collection?

Ulta Haul
Hi everyone,
Didn't know what to do with myself yesterday and the weather was perfect so I decided to visit Ulta and came home with more than I anticipated.
Ulta products were on sale for buy 2 get 2 free. After sniffling all of their fragrances, my daughter and I agreed that the Mandarin Mint was the one that smelled the best. It's got a fresh fruity citrusy scent that isn't too sweet. I can barely detect the scent of mint but it surely smells more orangy. We got two body scrub, a lotion, and shower gel. They are regularly priced at $9.50 each but with the sale $19.00 for all 4.
Calvin Klein Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Reef, $18.00. This is a very bright and slightly shimmery chartreuse eyeshadow. I believe it is limited edition. I think this color is perfect for summer. Will add a nice pop of brightness to your eyes.
Stila After Glow Color Vivid Violet, originally $18 but currently on sale for $12.00, which is approximately a 33% discount. I actually didn't even know it was on sale until I looked at my receipt. The sales associate approached me and asked me if I would be interested in checkout these new lip colors because they supposedly glow in the dark. I thought that was kinda cool, even if I know I am most likely not going to wear these out at night, lol, but for those who do and want to get noticed, you might want to pick up one or more of these. There was a bright/neon pink shade I was really tempted to get but I think I'd get more wear out of Vivid Violet so I thought I should try this one first to see if I like it.
Of course, she had to talk my daughter into buying this foundation, the Stila Perfect & Correct foundation Tone, $44.00. That is way too much moola spent on a foundation for a 16 year old. I didn't start wearing high-end makeup until I was in my late 20's. I almost wanted to faint, this really racked up my total. Anyways, my daughter begged me to get it. She tried it on and it looked very light and natural on her so ok. Next time, I just am not going to take her shopping with me. She's making me spend more than I need to. My daughter is a bit darker than me so she usually wears medium, which is not a good match for my skintone. I swatched it just to get a feel for it and it's got a light airy texture and feels moisturizing with a semi-matte finish. I think this might work for people who only want light coverage and just enough color to even out skintone. Anyone tried this foundation?

| 10 and CE 40 |
I scored these two Layla polishes on clearance for $4.99 each. I was ecstatic! They typically retails around $10.00 each.
I guess I just don't know when to stop. I picked up another glitter polish, Piggy Polish Never Hide, $7.50. I mean just look at those glitters. It's hard to resist. I had to bring it home.
Prestige Totaly Intensity Lively Turquoise, $5.99. Ok, you must think I'm on a turquoise kick, but I swear this was not intentional. I think this is a new shade. I haven't seen that one before.
Another product my daughter picked up, Ardell Accent lashes 305, $3.99.
So that's the damage for this weekend. Have you hauled anything? How are you enjoying the weather?

Fantasy Makers Hauling
Hello there,
One thing I love to check out around Halloween are the eyelashes and of course whatever is new and cool.
I purchased these items at Walgreens.
- Hauntingly Hip Stencil Kit Devilish Diva, $5.99. I absolutely love how the makeup of the stencil flame mask looks on the model...So Fierce! I wasn't sure if I should get it cause I was worried that the makeup palette might be crap but what the heck, I decided to purchase it anyways cause I think the stencil might work.
- Betwitching Eyes Wicked eyelashes, $3.99. Not sure if I will be pairing that with the stencil mask but we'll see how that goes. I loooove colored lashes. They look so cool.
- Bewitching Eyes Twilight, $3.99. These are just wispy lashes that are covered with small holographic glitters. I hope that the glitters don't fall in eyes.
I'm gonna try to do some looks with these items so stay tuned. Hopefully, this weekend :D.
Have you done any Halloween shopping?
