Wet N Wild Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire

Thanks to Rosie for showing off this nail polish, lol, I went to Walgreens to purchase it the same day I saw it on her nails.
Apparently, this isn't a new color, lol, and I thought it was since I've never seen it before. Then again, I am not really a huge fan of Wet N Wild nail colors so perhaps that is why I've never noticed it.
Anyways, what I love about it is the fine holographic glitters in it. The base is a sheer light jelly blue color. I'm wearing 3 coats on the swatches and I think it's acceptable even if you can still spot the nail line peaking through.
It looks ok on its own but if you don't want to see the nail line, you would have use it over another color.

If you like glitters on your nails but don't want them to look too overpowering then I think you will like this polish.

Arm Candy - Edgy Fun Spikes

I've really been loving those spike brackets that I see just about everywhere I turn. This is such a cool trend.
Not long ago, I purchased these magenta/pink spike bracelets from Forever 21 and I was wondering how I'm going to pull it off. It wasn't easy but I found a combo that I was quite happy with.
I paired them with gold spikes and gold bangles as well as a studded rhinestone chain bracelet that I purchased from Icing. The gold spikes were bought from Charlotte Ruse and the gold bangles are old, lol...You can find those anywhere.
The result was edgy and fun. I was worried about it looking tacky but I made it work, I think.

What would you pair those pink spikes with?

Teal Me Arm Candy

Yes, teal my arm! LOL. This is kind of a teal/minty color that I recently added to my growing bracelet collection and I absolutely love the pop of color. I find that it complements my A|X white marble watch really nicely.

From left to right
I love adding these fun colors to my arm. What do you think of this combo?

In this makeup look, I'm wearing both product that I purchased from the Hey Sailor collection. I'm in a hurry to get the heck out of here cause I have dinner waiting for me at my sister's house, LOL. Chanel Graphite Vs Revlon Carbonite

I heard so many people claim that Revlon Carbonite is a dupe for Chanel Graphite. I purchased Graphite a year ago when it came out. It's the most expensive nail polish I own but definitely worth the money if you ask me. I haven't been able to get my hands on Carbonite until recently at my local Big Lots. You probably have seen many comparison posts by now if you googled for swatches but I just thought I'd share mine as well.

On these pictures, I have Graphite on the left and Carbonite on the right.

From this picture down, I have Graphite and Carbonite swatched side by side so that you can see the difference.

My final thoughts

I was surprised at how close the colors were with each other. Although Carbonite is a good dupe for Graphite, there is a noticeable difference between the two. Graphite is a lot sparklier and shinnier. Carbonite looks more dull next to it.
As far as application goes, Graphite applies a little more sheer so you would need 2 to 3 coats to reach opacity. Carbonite is pretty thick and pigmented and I could easily get away with just one coat. I didn't have any issues with application on either one.

I paid $25 for Graphite and $1.00 for Carbonite. Huge difference in price. So if you can be happy with the difference between the two shades, you definitely get a better deal with Carbonite, although you may have to hunt that one down.
Even though Graphite is limited edition, you can still purchase it from Chanel's website
**Update...Sorry to say, but Graphite is no longer available. I guess, they finally sold out.**

I honestly do not regret having Graphite and wouldn't mind paying the extra $24 for it. You can clearly see in the pictures, it is prettier than Carbonite...at least it is to my eyes.

Which one would you get?

MAC Hey Sailor Haul and Swatches

I haven't really been keeping up with MAC collections lately but my friend Celia asked me if I wanted to go check out their new Hey Sailor collection, which just launched in stores this past Thursday.

I didn't find much that interested me, though I have to admit that I was really digging the packaging, lol, another reason to find myself buying something. Anyways, I think I did good. I only picked the items that stood out for me.

  • MAC Blessedly Rich lipglass, $15.50. I have quite a bit of lipglosses that fall within the pinkish nude category but this one was calling out to me anyways. From the tube, I like what I'm seeing, which is a shimmery pinkish, copperish, goldish color, lol. Well you can tell that from the swatch as well. I haven't worn it on my lips yet but this looks like something I could wear everyday if I wanted to.

  • MAC Old Gold pigment, $21.00. I'm not very knowledgeable with MAC products but this sounds like something that may have been released a few times, either that or it maybe a permanent product with a new packaging, lol. Anyways, I really liked it when I swatched it. It's like an antique gold with a green duochrome to it. It's super pretty and I have the urge to do a look with it right now, lol.

That is all I hauled from this collection. There was a bronzer that I liked but definitely didn't need it so I skipped on that one. Perhaps I'll get it if I can find it later at the CCO.

Did you get anything from this collection?

Beauty.com Friends and Family Sale Haul

Not long ago, Beauty.com had a 20% off deals for their friends and family sale. On top of that, Ebates.com had a 13% off cash back for Beauty.com. So I jumped on the saving opportunity to snag a few items I've been waiting for a sale like this. There was a few more items I wanted but couldn't find on their site. The haul is small and I'm actually glad I was able to restrain myself from getting more than I really need.

  • Deborah Lippman Mermaid's Dream. So glad I finally got this polish. It's so gorgeous! The price is more than what I really want to pay but considering that I got a couple discounts on it and that it's a pretty unique polish, I can justify my purchase :).

  • Essie No More Film. This is a deep blurple color. I don't know but there is just something about this color that I find very appealing. I always try to get these Essie polishes when I can find a deal on them, which is often hard cause they almost never go on sale.

  • NARS Bilbao lipstick. I wanted a NARS duo eyeshadow but even with the discount, I just can't justify paying this much money for just 2 eyeshadows, lol, considering they are not the most unique shade either. I'd rather buy the Armani Eyes Intense to kill over the NARS duo. Anyhoo, I went with a NARS lipstick because I really like the formula. Bilbao is a brownish nude color. I haven't swatched or tried it yet but I sure plan on doing a swatch and review for you once I get a chance to get a better feel for it. Normally when I purchase a high-end lipstick, I usually stick to wearable colors so that I can get the most use out of them. I'm pretty sure this color is dupeable but you have to consider the quality you're getting and for my dry lips, I wouldn't mind to splurge a little bit on a nice formula.
So that's it for this small haul. Have you taken advantage of Beauty.com's friends and family sale? If so, what did you get?

Kohl's Jewlery Haul

This is a belated haul, lol. I didn't want to spam my blogs with hauls after hauls so I try posting them sparingly. I purchased these items last week from Khol's.

  • Cultured Fresh Water Pearl bracelets, $38.75. They were originally $155.00!! I spotted these bracelets from afar! LOL that's how pretty and colorful they were. When I proceeded to check them out, I thought they look so cute. I had to ask for the price and wow when I saw the discount I was getting, I had to get these. This set contains 10 stretchy colorful pearls.

  • Champs Colorful Bead bracelets, $19.60 (originally $28.00). There is 5 stretchy bracelets in this set. The beads are so adorable and colorful. I like the little coin charms on them too.

  • Lauren Conrad teal flower earrings, $8.40 (originally $12.00). These earrings are so pretty and dainty! I fell in love right away when I saw them. They are inexpensive but they do look more pricier than they really are.
I love the deals at Khol's. I don't always shop there for jewelry because I don't always find something I like but these items were a hit for me.

Do you like shopping at Kohl's? What do you usually get from there?

Sally Beauty Supply Clearance Deals

Hey everyone!

I hope your weekend is off to a good start. I passed out pretty early last night. I didn't even eat dinner. I had some ice cream and started feeling extremely sleepy after that. I woke up in the middle of the night by thunder and lightning. It was raining pretty hard last night and it is currently partly cloudy. Not sure how the day is gonna go but I haven't figured out what to do with myself. Perhaps take my kids out to catch a movie. I have this urge to go to the outlet mall since I haven't been there in a while but I'm worried about making more damages, lol.

Anyways, a few days ago, I stopped by Sally Beauty just to see what's new. Didn't really see anything new that I was interested in; however, I managed to scored some clearance deals. One thing that irritates me when I shop is when the clearance section is way in the back or hidden in a corner. Not only these products were all the way in the back of the store but they even had a cart and boxes around it...I literally had to make my way around these obstacles in order to have a better look at the clearance items. Seriously, do I really have to go through this to save a few bucks? Grrr....LOL, whatever, I pushed my way through and this is what I found.

  • Finger Paints Lemon Sour, $3.29. Yep, another yellow polish, lol. Still hunting for a yellow with a good formula. I heard this one is good so we'll see how that goes.

  • China Glaze nail lacquer magnets, $3.29. I like the fact that there is 3 different design in this magnet. I tried it and it works pretty good.

  • Along with the China Glaze Magnets, there were a couple China Glaze Magnetix Polishes that were on clearance for $3.29 each. I have Cling On, which is a shimmery olive green magnetic polish.

  • China Glaze You Move Me is a shimmery brownish nude magnetic polish. I will post swatches of these two magnetic polishes soon.

  • Orly After Party is the only item that wasn't on sale, $6.49. I thought it looked so pretty. It's a dark polish with fine blue and fuchsia glitters.

  • Femme Couture Lip Luster in Sahara Rose, $3.99. It's a deep but sheer maroon color with fine teal glitters. It's very glittery and shimmery. I just thought the teal glitters in this lipgloss really stands out and it's unlike any lipgloss I've seen. It has like a sweet caramel scent to it.

  • Femme Couture Mineral Effects pigment in Blue Heaven, $0.99. Looking at the jar, it appears like light silver color. However, don't let that fool you because when I swatched it, it looked so much prettier. It turns into a dusty shimmery light blue with fine purple and pink shimmers. It was hard to capture that on camera.
Where have you found your latest beauty deals?

My First Rose Gold Jewelry Set

I've got an exciting jewelry haul to share with you all. This is my first rose gold jewelry set and I'm so happy to be able to add this to my collection. These items were actually purchased individually from the same place and same designer.

Few days ago, I was browsing on HSN.com to see if they have any affordable jewelries that I might like. Sure enough, I did find quite a few pieces that I wanted.

R.J. Graziano Luxury Class Bold Curb Link Bracelet Watch in Rosetone, $49.95.
What's not to love about this watch? It screams contemporary, class, and sophistication! And the price is unbelievably affordable. If anyone sees you wear this baby, they'd think you spend an arm and a leg for it, lol, but they don't have to know that you didn't.
The larger face and chuncky links have a masculin look and feel to it yet it's totally appropriate for a women. It's totally self-adjustable and I had to take out two links in order to get it to fit properly. Overall, I'm totally digging it. The picture on HSN website is a bit deceiving because the true color of the watch isn't nearly as pink as you'd think.

For more detail on this watch or if you are interested in purchasing one for yourself, please visit this link

R.J Graziano Strike It Rich Curb Link Bracelet, $14.95
I've always wanted a chuncky link bracelet but the ones I've seen were pretty expensive. Can you imagine how extremely excited I was when I saw this bracelet on clearance for less than $15.00? I couldn't believe my eyes. There was only very few in stock so I hurried up and ordered it as soon as I could. I was going to get the silvertone as well but it sold out while I was in the process of ordering. Nonetheless, I'm still very happy that I was able to get the rosetone. It's flipping gorgeous! Right now all they have left in stock is the gunmetal tone. Debating if I should get that one also.

R.J Graziano Go Chic set of 10 bangle bracelets, $34.95.
Can you tell that I'm extremely greedy by now? lol. Fortunately, this set was also on clearance. It was originally $59.95. These bangles look very classy and elegant. I thought that they would make such a pretty pair with my previous two purchases. I just had to get them. They come individually packaged inside a clear plastic bag and velvety black pouch. I wore these bangles today to work along with the watch and chunky link bracelet.

For more details, here is the link.

So that's all I ordered but I am already tempted to look out for some more. One thing I didn't really like is that they charge you shipping per item, even if they all came in the same package, which isn't cool if you ask me. The shipping was extremely fast for me, I received them within 3 business days.

What do you think of these pieces? Would wear them or plan on ordering them? Do you like shopping at HSN?
