Drugstore Hauling, Featuring New Wet N Wild and Rimmel Lipsticks

I decided to make a run to Walgreens to see if they have put up any new display and I was pleased that they did so I managed to pick up a few items.

But first, about a couple weeks ago, I found these Milani eyeshadow palette at my local Wal-Mart and after looking up a few reviews and swatches, I decided to get them. I just love how cool they look in the packaging. Reminds me of an artist's paint palette. I will be playing with them and hopefully give you a review and show swatches in the next week or two.

Rimmel came out with a new Kate lipsticks collection and these are supposed to have a velvety matte finish. I was thrilled! Most of the shade range were pinks and reds. I wished they had a little more variety. I purchased 107 because this one stood out for me since I love rich and deep berry/plum shades. It's also the shade that Kate was wearing on the display. It looked fabulous on her. After coming home and swatching the lippie, I felt a sudden urge to go back and purchase more. They are currently on sale for BOGO at Walgreens but I didn't find that out until after the fact because the store I went to didn't properly label the sale so I didn't know, that's why I only picked up one to try....Grrrrrr. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

Yay for new Wet N Wild products! Walgreens had a display featuring Fergie products. Plus they even had a $1 coupon on the display! I couldn't be happier. This is another product I wished I had bought more but tried to restrain myself from going out of control and picking up things I know I don't need. I bought the lipstick shade Bebot Love and V.I.Pink.

I forgot to include this Revlon polish in the group picture above. This is called "Heavenly" and I immediately thought of Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven when I saw it. Wouldn't surprise me since Revlon likes to make DL dupes. I don't have Stairway to Heaven but I think I can live and be happy with Heavenly, lol.

L'oreal was on BOGO 50% off and when my eyes spotted that sheer glittery gold gloss, I was hooked. The glitters don't look over the top and they are quite small. I think it's going to look gorgeous layered over a lipstick.

For the second item, I decided to go with L'Oreal Infallible lip liner in Pink since I don't think I have a pink lip liner. It's rare that I use a lip liner but still good to have just in case I need it. I just tried swatching it and I doubt I want to keep it cause it feels dry and tugs on my skin. It even broke a bit cause it's that hard. The color is also light and pigmentation not so great. Definitely avoid this product, especially if you have medium and darker complexion. Though overall, I would not recommend. It's quite expensive and not pigmented or creamy enough.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what new drugstore beauty you hauled recently.

    1. I don't blame you. Milani is a brand that I like too. That's sad that they don't sell it in Singapore. At least you have a friend that improvised for you. I totally went nuts with their baked blush too, lol. I have most of them.

    1. Really...This shade literally just came out in the states. Heavenly looks a bit like snow globe but the shape of the glitters are different.

    1. I think Stairway to Heaven is a fairly easy dupeable polish and I'm almost certain Heavenly is pretty darn close based on the swatches I've seen.

  11. I hemmed and hawed over the Fergie display and finally contented myself with a highlighter pan and two lippies, Old School Glam and Fergie Daily (the nude she's wearing in the display photo). I can't wait to swatch them and see how they look!
