Kleancolor Silver Lining and Salsa Much

Here I go again...More polishes swatches for ya!

Salsa Much is a new favorite glitter...just take a peak at the photos and you'll know what I mean. It looks somewhat interesting in the bottle but when I paired it with a dark nail polish, it's jaw dropping gorgeous! It has a lot of red, gold, and blue micro glitters suspended in a clear base. These colors look like a mix of citrine, sapphire, and ruby stones crushed into very fine glitter pigments, The base was not too thin or thick. Just the perfect consistency. I did two coats on the swatch but it would have looked just fine with one coat. Because the glitters are so fine, I didn't have any problem with them spreading out evenly. It's so pretty! The sight of it makes me wanna drool. Definitely one of those that looks much better in person.

Silver Lining looks pretty in the bottle but I've yet to find the right polish to pair this with. It has very fine silvery gold glitters mixed with larger lavender glitters suspended in a clear base. The base is slightly on the thin side so I had to really fish for the big glitters, which is no fun. I paired it with a very light nude beige color and did two coats over it. The combo isn't the greatest and I've tried it over several other colors and still couldn't find one that makes me happy. Ironically, I've yet to find the silver lining for silver lining. Any suggestions?

Kleancolor can be found at select stores, online, Ebay, and Amazon. They are usually between $2.00-$4.00.

Kleancolor Glitter Polishes Swatches - Party Fever, Aurora, Golden Nirvana, Shooting Star, and Holo Green

I've had these polishes for a pretty long while now and since I'm getting caught up with my swatches, I'm finally getting to these! The chunky holos are on my wishlist so perhaps I'll get some soon.

Party Fever has small red glitters along with larger blue, purple, and silver glitters in a clear base. Formula isn't too thick or thin and you can get a fairly decent amount of glitters within two coats. I absolutely love how it looks paired with a red polish. All swatches were done with a clear top coat on top.

Aurora has iridescent light golden glitters with light pink star glitters. The base looks a little peachy pink but it's pretty sheer and almost looks clear. I had to fish for the star glitters. Formula slightly on the thick side. This polish looks nice with pretty much any base color.

Golden Nirvana has a warm golden jelly base with small sliver glitters and larger silver holo glitters. I did two coats on its own and it looks pretty good. The formula is thick, picks up a good amount of glitters, but a little difficult to spread evenly. You'll need to finagle with it a bit or add some nail polish thinner to help make the application look more even. Other than that, I think it's pretty.

Shooting Star looks like it's going to be a fun polish but it didn't look that exciting when I layered it over a black polish. It has a sheer jelly pink base, small silver glitters, and larger yellow, blue, and red glitters. The formula as very thick and goopy. Definitely needs nail polish thinner for even and smooth application.

Holo Green has a very sheer light sage green base with fine scattered silver holos. I think you can pretty much layer it over any color without changing much of the base color. Formula not too thin or thick and spreads the holo glitters evenly.

These Kleancolor polishes have a pretty strong and weird nail polish scent. I thought I'd mention it. Most of the ones I've come across, particularly those with a clear base, well the base is not really crystal clear, it is a bit brownish tainted. Don't know if they were old or if there is a lack in quality; however, when layered over another color other than white, it looks fairly good.

I've purchased them at random places like flea markets and clothing stores. They are pretty inexpensive, price ranging between $2.00-$4.00 depending on where you purchase them. You can find them on Ebay and Amazon if none of your local stores carry them.

Nail Polish Haul

I decided to check out my local nail supply store to see if they had anything new, which they did so I picked up a few polishes...Love getting the wholesale deal at the nail supply store. OPI was $5.50, Kleancolor $3.00, Nanacoco $2.50, and Nanacoco HD $3.00.

Kleancolor Salsa Much, possibly my favorite of the pack. I can't wait to swatch this one for you.

Kleancolor Silver Lining has a pretty cool pewter silver glitters and larger lavender pink glitters. I thought it was cute.

Nanacoco Fly to the Galaxy, I've never heard of this brand before but this is new and I've never seen before. I love the way the holo glitters look in this dark blue jelly base.

Nanacoco HD Mystic. I gotta say the packaging looks kinda cool on their HD line. Wasn't sure if I needed this but I decided to try out one first.

And lastly, I was able to find OPI Solitaire. Something I've been wanting for a while. It has a classic appeal to it.

Hopefully, in the next few days, I'll be posting swatches for these. I don't know why but I haven't really been motivated to blog lately.

Yep A Haul after A Haul - OPI, China Glaze, Kleancolor, ELF, and Lancome

If I don't hurry up and post these hauls, I'm totally going to loose track of the stuff I bought. **Sigh**
As you can see, I went nail-polish-happy-go-lucky again! :D

  • OPI Hauling. From left to right: Thanks a Windmillion, I Have a Herring Problem, and Grape..Set...Match. The first two are from the Holland collection, which is fairly new. I was lucky enough to find these at the supply store so I paid only $4.25 each. Thanks a Windmillion looked very similar to Mermaid's Tears when I put the bottle next to each other. I might have to do a comparison post.

  • China Glaze Hunger Game polishes. I only picked out Electrify (left) and Luxe and Lush (right). I might go back to get Riveting.

  • While I was shopping at the Flea Market with my family, I came across these Kleancolor glitter polishes. I was pretty excited because they were dirt cheap! Only $1 each. From left to right: Aurora, Party Fever, Golden Nirvana, and Shooting Star. I can't wait to get my hands on more of these. They look so pretty!

  • I found this palette at Target for $3.00. I like the color scheme in this palette so I decided to get it.

I went to Macy's this morning for their grand opening. I'm so hapy that the mall close to where I live now  has a Macy's. They were giving out a $10 gift cards to the first 500 customers so I made sure I got one. I was lucky I didn't wait in line too long but the people that came after us, OMG, the line was long as hell! I scoped the new store for a few minutes and left to go to work. I came back after work to redeem my gift card since I could only use it today.

  • After much debate, I decided to get a new foundation. I bought the Teint Miracle foundation. It retails for $39 but with the gift card I paid only $29 plus tax. I was also eligible for the free gifts with purchase and they include: Bi-Facils makeup remover, Genefique, Definicils mascara, le crayon khol black ebony liner, Juicy Tubes Fifth Aveneu Frosting, and Renergie Lift Volumetry Night cream. I also got a sample of Visionnaire. Not bad eh?!

Thanks for checking out my haul. What's the latest nail polish(es) you picked up??
