I received a gift from HD who I've met on Luuux.com. The package arrived this past Thursday but I have been so busy at work and staying late that I was too tired to post anything interesting. Thank you so much HD! I really appreciate the thoughtful and kind gesture even though it was not necessary. The last news I've heard of her was that her account got hacked and deleted, which made me feel horrible and sad. She has been such a sweet and supportive person with a great sense of humor. I miss reading her posts. I really hope her account and her points get restored back to were it was because she worked so hard to earn them.
I was very excited to open the package; however, something broke during shipping and when I saw what had happened, my heart crumbled a little inside.
She has sent me an eyeshadow quad from the brand QUO which is only available in Canada as far as I know but I could be wrong. The color of the palette is Downtown Brown and consists of earth tone shades that are perfect for every day wear. I've managed to salvage the broken eyeshadow into a small plastic container and cleaned the mess. Luckily, it was only one eyeshadow. The other three were as good as new.
So here's how the packaging looks...It's round and divided in two sections and each section contains 2 eyeshadows and a mirror. There is a pretty good amount of products in the quad so I will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
I was very impressed and pleased at the quality and pigmentation of these eyeshadows. They feel buttery and soft, apply and blend easily. I would compare them to Urban Decay eyeshadows. They are really that good! I wish I could get my hands on other QUO palettes now that I've seen how great these are. I don't know how much these costs since I received it as a gift.
The second item HD sent me was a manicure set, also from QUO. This is so cute and I love the pink and purple packaging. This would be great for traveling since it already comes in a sturdy portable case.
So aside from these two items, she also included a pretty card. Again, thank you very much HD! You are awesome for doing this for me. I loved what you sent me, please come back to Luuux so I can stalk your page.
