I Love Nail Polish Ultra Chrome Flakies - Electric Carnival and Supernova

Happy Sunday!

It's been a beautiful weekend. The weather is feeling like Spring and I find that uplifting. These new holographic flakies came out about a month ago. I wasn't in a rush to get them but I knew I was going to get at least these two.

You can purchase them from ilnp.com for $12.50 each. The turn around time is pretty good. I think I got my order within a week from the date I ordered and everything is always carefully packaged. I just noticed that they added more colors to the Holographic flakies so I'm really tempted to get some more.

Electric Carnival is a multichrome flakie that shifts from a golden green, magenta, and bronze. The base is clear, not too thick or thin, and the great part is that there is a whole lot of flakies in that bottle so the brush picks up a fairly good amount on the first coat. It's easy to apply and work with. Woooah look at that gorgeousness! It's mesmerizing.

On the swatches, I have 2 coats of Electric Carnival over Sparitual Endless Possibilities.

Supernova is a multichrome flakie that shifts color from teal to magenta. I thought the name was really cool. Then again ILNP always has cool names for their polishes. The formula is pretty much the same as Electric Carnival.

I only did one coat this time over Sparitual Undercurrent. On some of the swatches that I googled online, if you layer this completely over the nail, you can get a holographic foil look.

What do you think of these flakies?

I Love Nail Polish Multi-Chrome Swatch - Masquerade and Peace

Hello there,

Today I have some gorgeous nail polish swatches for ya. Duochromes and multi-chromes are one of my favorite nail polish finish. However, only very few people can come up with fantastic colors and formula. I Love Nail Polish definitely delivers the goods.

Here are the two new colors that just launched a couple weeks ago.

Masquerade is a shimmery multi-chrome nail polish shifting from magenta to green and bronze. Aside from looking more purple, it is a bit similar to Nostalgia
I needed 3 coats for opacity. It's a bit streaky on the first coat but evens out as you do a second and third layer. I find the polish not too thick or think and easy to work with and it dries fairly quick.

Peace is a shimmery multi-chrome that shift color from blue to purple, and pink. At certain angle you can even notice a bit of green and bronze. You may be able to get away with two coats with this color but I did 3 coats for good measure. The formula is pretty consistent, not too thick or thin, easy to work with, and dries fairly quick. Really lovely polish.

I Love Nail Polish makes fabulous multi-chromes. Definitely worth the money and some of my favorites. They are $12.50 each for 12 ml.

I Love Nail Polish Multichrome Swatch - Nostalgia and Sweet Serenade

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family. I hope you're having a great one. Finally, the day has arrived! We can enjoy the festivities, open our presents, and get on with your lives. I woke up to an excruciating painful leg cramp that got me bouncing off my bed as if it was set on fire. Not a nice way to start the day but it's good to be home and relaxing because tomorrow is another day at work.

So today, I am very excited to share with you two new multi-chrome that I purchased from I Love Nail Polish. I actually received it about 10 days ago but my nails weren't in good shape for swatches so I decided to wait until they grow a little longer.

Nostalgia was newly released earlier this month and the moment I saw this beauty my jaw literally dropped! It's beautifully named as well. Nostalgia makes me think of the most cherished and tender memories. It brings me back to a distant time and place where my heart was content and at peace. Memories I've visited quite often this year in my lonely mind. Nostalgia, the nail polish, evokes an essence of beauty and harmony. Its multi-dimensional and multi-chromeness are like colors on steroids. Vibrant, beautiful, and intense...much like some of my past memories. The color shift is very strong and changes from a glowy emerald green to a shimmery bronze and a flash of burgundy. The formula is slightly sheer and requires 3 coats for full opacity. It's prone to show brush strokes, therefore, you'd have take your time and carefully apply the polish so that your brush strokes are nice and even. Nostagia is the perfect multi-chrome. It's so unique, it's a must have for any nail junkie (or dreamer) out there. Having it in my possession makes me want to smile and cry at the same time, lol. I know I'm a little weird like that but I can't help myself when I see a nail polish this gorgeous.

Sweet Serenade reminded me at first of a peacock feather. The strongest colors are dark blurple and teal. And depending on how the light reflects on the polish, you can also take notice of a glowy dark blue. It also has some sparkling blue shimmers that adds a bit of whimsical flair to the polish. Because the overall colors are a little darker in this polish the multi-chromeness is more apparent under bright lighting. This polish was opaque in two coats and I didn't have any trouble with the formula or trail of brush strokes.
After I applied it on my nails, my perspective of a peacock feather started to change. The colors took appearance of Northern Lights on my nails. The way the teal moves and dances with the light over the contrasting dark purple very much reminds me Northern Lights in a dark blue sky. I hope that someday I can enjoy the view of real Northern Lights in the sky. I've only seen pictures and there's something magical and beautiful about it. For now, I think Sweet Serenade is a sweet contender to the real Northern Lights. Wouldn't you agree?

Each nail polish contains .4 oz or 12 ml. I Love Nail Polish makes fabulous multi-chrome nail polishes. I'd gladly exchange 3 of my regular nail polishes for one of these multi-chromes. That's how beautiful they are and totally worth every dollar I spent. If you'd like to see swatches of the other I Love Nail Polish Multi-Chrome that I own, you can view them HERE.

I Love Nail Polish Ultra Chromes Haul and Swatches

Yep, I totally fell for them when I saw the preview swatches on a few of the lucky bloggers who received them as a PR sample. I wasn't that lucky but I bought them all and I am thrilled to have them in my possession.

I received my Ultra Chromes a couple days ago. They were very nicely packaged and were also wrapped in these I <3 Nail Polish paper wrap, which I thought was really cute that I just had to add it as a background here.
Each of them come in their individual paper box. The boxes are also labeled and have that cute heart-shape cut out to show you the color in the bottle.

Underneath each polish bottle, there is a label sticker designed with the I <3 Nail Polish logo and the name of the polish. The logo is also printed on the polish bottle as well. I am very pleased with the packaging and the way the product is presented. For an indie brand, I am impressed.

Cygnus Loop is a shimmery purple/blue multi-chrome with a burgundy color shift visible at certain angle. I'm very pleased with the color shift and combination.

Mutagen is probably one of the most unique multi-chrome I've come across. It shifts from a muted silvery green to a vibrant shimmery emerald green and at certain angle it has a bit of blue and purple. This is one is a stunner and one of a kind with a strong color shift and a very glowy green. A must have if you are a nail polish collector. This is like wearing kryptonite on your nails, hehe. Its uniqueness makes it my favorite of the bunch.

My Little Glacier probably has the weaker color shift between the 4 of them but that doesn't mean that it's not visible. In bright light, you can certainly see it morph from a pale silvery blue to a bright teal blue and at certain angle you can spot a denim blue kind of shade.

Birefringence, what a clever name! I was concerned that it might be too close in color to Cygnus Loop but I think there is enough difference between the two. Birefringence has a purple and burgundy shift but it is certainly bluer and brighter whereas Cygnus Loop take on a darker and purplier appearance. The blue in Birefringence is almost electrifying and glowy.

The formula is pretty consistent in all of them, wasn't too thick or thin, just the perfect consistency. They lean on the sheer and need 2 or 3 coats for opaque coverage. They tend to be streaky and uneven at first but they do come out even as you layer them. There is some trail of brush stroke but they are mainly noticeable up close and don't bother me. The color shifts are amazing and strong for most of them. And lastly, they dry fairly quickly. In my personal opinion, these are a must have in every nail polish addicts collection.

Currently available on I Love Nail Polish website for $12.50 each.
