Fashion Haul - DKNY Purse, More Dresses, and Shoes

Guess who went to TJ Maxx again? LOL...It really doesn't help that I drive by this store every day on my way to and from work because I seem to be stopping by weekly now. You'll find me stalking the purse, jewelry, beauty, and shoe isles if you ever see me there.
I've seen this DKNY purse a while back and almost bought it but decided to pass and when I went back there again, it was gone and I felt so bad that I didn't get it when I had the chance. I got lucky again this time when I saw it on the rack and I knew that I was gonna have to take it home.
I love the size of it. It's large enough to hold my keys, phone, camera, and some change. It's like the perfect evening purse. I have a few wrislet but I always prefer to carry my bag on my shoulder rather than holding it. It allows me to have my hands free, which is much better if I'm going to dance or hold other things in my hands. I love that it comes with a convertible chain strap that you can carry over your shoulder or cross body.

Another thing I love about this purse is the design and material. It doesn't look cheap or tacky, which is something I often see on animal prints material. It looks like real snake scales but with a shiny gloss and golden sheen to it. It also feels soft and luxurious. The gold hardware has a nice thickness and weight them and a dust bag is also included. It did hurt me a little looking at the price tag of $69.99 but I think it was worth it though. I also think that this bag is versatile and something you can carry with you during the day.

The Mia white wedge were from TJ Maxx. I was in need of a new pair of white shoes and these wedges were very cute and comfortable when I tried them on. They were $34.99.

Another thing I purchased from TJ Maxx is this long grey dress that has a lace-like material but feels thicker, which create more textures. It's strapless so you just slip it on like a skirt, pull it over your chest, add a belt and some accessories, and tada! You be looking fine as hell, lol...It is lined with a smoother material underneath which is bit shorter than the outter layer so your legs will be popping through the lace. All I gotta say it it is very pretty! It comes with a reasonable price tag of $24.99
I purchased the blue dress from Dots. I skipped it when I saw it hanging on the rack but when I grabbed a few things to try and saw it on the mannequin, I knew I had to give it a try and when I did, I was blown away. It enhances all the right curves and diminishes the bad ones, lol. It's strapless but the cups are lightly padded. The dress is flowy and shorter on the front and longer on the back. I love this turquoise blue, it's so summery. Price tag: $19.80.

The turquoise tube top was also from Dots. I actually wanted a white one but they didn't have it. When I tried this one I really liked it because of the lace trimming. It was only $8.00.

I decided to get this stretchy brown belt with gold hardware from Dots. I figured that this color will complement the blue dress so I might as well just get it. It was $8.00. I had a $10 coupon so my total for the blue dress, tube top, and belt, came down to roughly $28.00 with tax. I thought that was a pretty good deal.
So overall, yes I did do some damage but I'm pretty pleased with the stuff that I got.

Orly Sashay My Way Swatch

Hello,

About a couple weeks ago, I purchased this glitter polish from Sally Beauty Supply. Sashay My Way has holographic gold hex glitters and bar glitters in a clear polish. I forgot the name of the collection it came with but they were all glitter polishes. For some reason, this one only caught my attention.
I've tried layering it over other colors but it looks best under a dark polish. I find the glitters a little hard to pick up and the best way to get the most out of them is to get a thick layer of polish. I had to move them around a bit with the brush so I would suggest that you wait until the base polish is dry before applying the glitters, otherwise you could possibly smear and pull the color underneath.
It's a little bit of work around but doable and the result is very pretty and glitzy.

Boston Store Jewelry Haul

Yep, I did it again. I guess the only way for me to stop hauling is to just stop going to the store. How sad is that? Ughh...

I went to the Boston Store last Saturday because my sister told me that they had pretty good sale on baby clothing and I needed to get a few for my cousin's baby shower. First thing I noticed when I walked into the store is how much better things looked. They reorganized and rearranged the entire floor and it looks so much better.

I managed to get a few gifts and some jewelries for myself. I made and effort to only stick to the sale items.

BCBGeneration spike necklace with blue rhinestone, $27.99. It was originally $48.00. I love the look and feel of this necklace. It has a nice weight to it and I love the blue sparkles. They really make the spikes look more interesting and glitzy.

Boston Store currenly has all sterling silver on sale for 65% off! Couldn't help but take advantage of the sale. My daughter picked up these heart earrings studs and necklace. I dont know what kind of stone it is but it's so pretty! It's blue, purple, and teal.
The earrings were on sale for $14.00. Originally $40.00.

The heart pendant necklace was $17.50. Originally, $50.00

I couldn't help myself when I saw this huge ring, lol. It's so clear and sparkly. I paid $19.25 for it. It was originally $55.00.

Lastly, I purchased these earrings from an accessory store while I was at the Strawberry Festival. What I love about them is that they are shaped like a cube and have a stone on all 6 sides. They were $21.00.

I have a couple more hauls to show but I am getting pretty tired now, so I think I will be hitting the sack early tonight. Thanks for reading :)

Essie No More Film Swatches

I've had my eyes on this one for a while but I always try to get Essie polishes with a discount. My local CVS still do not have this collection out yet! They are unbelievably slow at stocking up new collections. I've been saving my coupons for the new Essie polishes. Anyhoo, I was able to get this polish for 20% off during Beauty.com friends and family sale.

No More Film is no more than a blurple with a cream finish. The formula is fantastic! I have one coat on the swatches and notice how opaque and smooth it looks on my nails. It also has this high glossy shine that I love in nail polishes. Definitely recommend if you like the color.

L'Oreal Gorgeous Gold Nail Polish Swatches

Hello lovelies,
This is one of the recent L'Oreal polish that I purchased from Walgreens. Speaking of that, Walgreens is currently having all of their L'Oreal products on sale for BOGO 50% off. They also have $1.00 off coupon for L'Oreal eye makeup. So take advantage of the sale if you've been eyeing some L'Oreal products.
Gorgeous Gold has a name that suits it well. When I first saw it in store I was very tempted to get it but held off on it until I couldn't stand it no more, lol.
It's a beautiful shimmery antique gold with a green undertone to it. It also had some gold glitters in it.
I have 2 coats on the swatches and it looks pretty opaque on the nails. I like it but I must admit that it is not as pretty on the nail as it is in the bottle.

NOTW Florals Over Neon

Just thought I'd share my NOTW before I forget. I was in the mood for something bright so I decided to go with a neon color. Initially, I didn't intend to do any designs but sometimes I change my mind when I'm in the middle of painting my nails, lol.

I got lazy so I skipped the base coat. But here's what I used for this nail look
  • 2 coats of Confetti Margarita Senorita
  • 2 coats of Color Club Get Your Lem-on
  • Stamping with Anise Run For The Money and X-Large stamping plate H
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite
  • 1 coat of Sally Girl glitter. I don't see any name but it's a bluish green glitter and it complements the blue sheen from Get Your Lem-on and the teal color from Run For The Money.
So even thought my nails were bright and neon. I think the design just made it a little more tame and interesting.

The Writing Is on the Wall or Plaque

I just wanted to share with you some interesting plaque that I've come across while I was at the Stawberry Festival last weekend. I don't know about you but I had a lot of fun just reading through them. Some were funny. Some were more inspirational than others. Some were pretty sarcastic. And some were just things that you could relate to. They range between $8 to $20. I didn't get any but perhaps I'll get one or two next time I go.

My favorites are:

  • Love is giving someone the power to break your heart...but trusting them not to. That is pretty much how I am. Some people are afraid to love again after their hearts have been broken. A heart break has affected and changed me in many ways but it has never stopped me from trusting and loving again.
  • Life is too short to cook for you people. I had to laugh at this one cause I hate to cook, yet still cook most of the daily meals.
  • Do one brave thing today...Then run like hell. This is funny. It makes me wonder what brave thing can I do and avoid running.
  • Frienship is when people know all about you but like you anyways. That's so true about real friends. You know who your real friends are when they are there for you no matter what you've done or has happened to you.
  • Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself. That has given me a new meaning to my life, heheh.
  • And of course the last one...Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaving is on earth. My daughter really loved this mug and I bought it for her.
Would you purchase these plaques for yourself or for someone?
