This is my new Deborah Lippman polish, Mermaid's Dream. Oh what a beauty! I fell in love with it when I saw swatches of it and I knew I had to add it to my collection because it's such a gorgeous unique shade. I know Deborah Lippman polishes are expensive and I admit it's painful to want to spend more than $12 on a polish but considering the uniqueness of it and because I was able to get a discount, I found that I could justify my purchase. I also wanted to get the new DB chrome polishes, Sugar Daddy and Private Dancer but they were not available on Beauty.com.
If you've always wanted to try Deborah Lippman polishes but can't bring yourself to pay full price, wait for a sale from Beauty.com. Once in a while, they'll have everything on sale for like 20% off. Plus if you use Ebates, you could also get more cash back, which is exactly what I did with my order.
This polish cost $18.00. With the 20% off sale, it brought the price down to $14.40. With the 13% cash back from Ebates, I'm getting back $1.88. So in the end, I only paid $12.52 for this polish.
Mermaid's dream is a shimmery seafoam green with small teal glitters and fine gold glitters. I have 3 coats on the swatches. The first coat applies sheer. The second coat is acceptable but I preferred how it looked with a third coat. I like the textured look. Honestly, the pictures do not do this polish justice. It is way prettier in person.
That is a lovely shade!
