Favorite Makeup Looks and Nail Looks of 2014

Hello lovelies,

Here are my favorite makeup looks and nail looks from 2014. If you followed me for a while, you might remember seeing these; however, if you're a new follower you probably missed out on them. Link is provided to the original post if you want more detail on the products that I used to create the look.

And this will sum my favorites of 2014. If you missed my other favorite posts, here's some quick links for ya:

How to rock a grey makeup look like a badass. Taking grey to another level. I dare you to try it.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Cyber Lilac Eyeshadow. I love this purple eyeshadow and the pop of blue on the lower lash line is a fund way to add color without going over the top.

Fall Inspired Makeup Look With Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette. I love fall colors and it always inspires me to come up with a fall inspired look. This is a nice makeup representation of fall, IMO.

Grey/Burgundy/Purple Makeup Look. Even though the look is dark and muted, there is some subtle colors and I love how the shimmery purple on the bottom brightens up the eyes.

Neon Orange Makeup Look. This is such a simple and easy look to do but quite eye catching with the neon orange all over the lids. I didn't do this intentionally but the purple contacts add some nice element to the overall look as well.

My Radiant Orchid Romance Makeup Look. Gotta love the color of the year and gotta find some inspiration in it. So this is the makeup look I came up with. It's very feminine and romantic, which is what I love most about it.

Rainbow Jelly Nail Look. I stumbled upon a similar nail look on Pinterest and knew I had to try it out. Mine came out more vibrant. I got lots of compliments when I wore this.

Orange Pink Gradient. I'm definitely getting better at doing gradients and this is one of my favorite gradient look.

Revlon I'm Electro and Sephora Formula X Thunder. I just love the color combo of these to polishes. So fun to look at!

Finger Paints Surreal Sunset with twirls. If duochrome polishes isn't enough, try adding some stamping designs. I love those twirls but I need to get better at stamping.

Favorite Skincare, Bath/Body, Haircare Products of 2014

I don't talk much about skincare because everyone reacts differently with the product since we have different types of skin and expectations.
I don't have much trouble with my skin. I have some hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, everything I tried I was never able to get rid of them. I get the occasional break out, usually around menstruation or when I'm very stressed. I am fortunate there is no signs of wrinkles yet. I think the regular maintenance must've done the job but my overall complexion is a bit dull and uneven. I have combination normal skin and slightly oily on the T-zone.

Raccine Ultimate Hydra Perfection Advanced Lumious Gel. I was sent this product for review but it's really a nice gel and gives a boost of hydration. Feels and looks luxurious. Price is average.

Algenist Firming & Lifting Eye Gel. I really like how quickly it absorbs and keep my skin feel hydrated for hours.

Algenist Firming & Lifting Cream. I've been quite pleased with the couple products that I tried from the line. The texture of the creams are smooth and hydrating. I love that they are unscented. I dislike the jar packaging but what's inside is good.

Origins A Perfect World Age Defense Skin Guardian With White Tea. You must test this when you get a chance because it feels so silky smooth. It feels silicone-ish so if you don't like this feeling then it's not for you. I find it works well for me during winter for some of the areas that feels a little dry. It reduces the appearance of dry skin.

Shiseido The Skincare Night Moisture Recharge. I haven't been using this in the winter because it's a light-weight moisture night cream, well actually it feels more like a gel. I used it more often in the spring and summer when my skin isn't as dry. If you have normal to oily skin, I think you'll like this but if you have dry skin you might not feel like this would be enough moisture for you. You get a lot of product and a little goes a long way. This will last a pretty long time.

Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil. It does a wonderful job at removing makeup. I wished drugstore carried more of these cleansing oils.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Gel Mask. By far my favorite mask of all time. It's a bit pricey but next time they have a sale, I'd definitely picking up more of these. Once you're done, your skin feels soft like baby skin.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Nothing worked for me like this drying lotion for pimple spot treatment. It sucks that bad boy dry overnight and helps reduce the look of scar and speed the healing process.

Freeman Facial Polish Mask Charcoal & Black Sugar. There's some issues with the cap not wanting to stay close after you used it a few times but other than that it's a wonderful exfoliator. My skin feels clean and smooth after use. I didn't find it harsh or drying either.

L'Occitane Almond Collection. I love the almond line from L'Occitane. I'm usually not a big fan on sweet scents but it smells warm, sweet, and divine. I didn't care much for the soap cause it's so small but the supple skin oil, shower oil, and almond milk concentrate are my favorite.

L'Occitane 100% Shea Butter. This stuff is pricey but I haven't found anything else that compares. It feels thick yet it absorbs quickly and easily into skin. This is the most hydrating cream I ever tried. It works wonders on my dry hands during the winter time. I also like that it is unscented.

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Spray. I love the light-weight feel and healthy shines it gives my hair.

Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil Frizz Defy Hair Elixir. A little goes a long way to smooth and detangle hair without weighing it down. Smells nice too.

Favorite Eyeshadows, Eyeshadow Palettes, Eye Liners, Eyebrow Products of 2014

Happy weekend everyone...My weather app is telling me we are expecting a lot of snow tonight and tomorrow. Looks like we could get up to 8 inches of snow. I guess I'm glad it's not happening during the week day when we have to commute to work.

Here's a continuation of my 2014 favorite products since I failed to do them monthly last year.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Cyber Lilac Eyeshadow. It's not perfect but I love this color.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. What can I say...Urban Decay really makes the best natural palettes.

Fyrinnae eyeshadows: Arcane Magic Mystical Hedgehog, Enchanting Otters, Lorem Ipsum, Shinigami, Snow Leopard, Wicked, Frostbytes. These eyeshadows look so pretty and magical. I really wished ordering from them would be easier. They always seem to have a huge backlog and occasionally close shop to catch up.

ELF Essential Smudge Pots Crusin Chic. Nice and affordable neutral cream shadow.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Stormy Pink. MAC paint pots are awesome and stormy pink make a nice base for a neutral look.

Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Spring 2014 Limited Edition Color Tattoo - Sleek & Spice, Caramel Cool. I really wished they didn't make these limited edition.

L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner - Cobalt Blue and Green Ivy. The creaminess and pigmentation is fantastic.

Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner Green Spark. I love the emerald green shimmers. The super thin applicator can create really thin lines.

Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade Dark Brown. The color is perfect for my brows and I love how bullet-proof it is. Once it's on, it won't budge.

I don't know how many polishes I purchased last year but I know it's quite a bunch. Though I like them and some more than others, I am surprised my list of nail polish favorites isn't as long as I thought it would be. I'm trying really hard to control myself and try to stick with unique colors.
