Collective (Drugstore) Haul & Swatches - Things I've Hauled While I Was Away
So while I was away, I did buy makeup here and there. I was intrigued by the LA Splash liquid lipsticks so I picked up a few shades. There was many other shades that appealed to me but decided to just pick these colors to see how I liked them. I love and hate these, lol. Will tell you more on my review.

TJ Maxx Haul and Nail Polish Swatches - OPI, Butter London, and Julep
I was at TJ Maxx last week and they had quite a selection of nail polishes from brands like Essie, OPI, Orly, Nicole by OPI, Sephora, and a few Ciate, Butter London, and Julep. I love finding these treasures at TJ because they are typically half off the original price.
The only non-nail polish product I got from this haul is the Macadamia healing Oil Spray for hair. Love the packaging. This is $16.99 as opposed to $29.50 retail price. Ching Ching! Gotta love the savings!
This set of OPI costed me $7.99. They usually retail about $9.00 each.
OPI Baring It All is a light cool toned flesh nude with a cream finish. I have 3 coats on the swatches. The formula is not too thick or thin and is a bit streaky at first but levels well and looks even on the 3rd coat. It's very plain jane for me and needs either glitter or some sort of design to oomph it up.
OPI Frog In My Throat looks beautiful in the bottle. It's got a dark jelly base with goldish green shimmers, small holographic glitters, and orange flakies. It's so much prettier in person but I gotta admit that the shimmers are understated once the polish dries. The formula is thin but easy to work with and can be built up to an opaque coverage in 3 coats.
Julep Paris has a clear base and a mix of gold and silver holographic glitters with smaller holographic glitters. Here I'm wearing one coat over OPI Bare It All. Told yall it looks better with glitters. The base is not too thin or thick, picks up a decent amount of glitters and you only have to pat them a bit to get them where you need them. The bottle is so little, only .27 oz, about half the size of a typical nail polish bottle. Even paying $5.00 for it doesn't feel right.
Butter London Swinger...haha, the name makes me laugh because I'm definitely a swinger when it comes to nail polishes. I'm greedy and I gotta have all them preciouses. Swinger has a lightly green tinted base with very tiny gold and green glitters and small green glitters. It's rather sheer but applies fairly evenly and you can get opaque coverage in 3 coats.

TJ Maxx Haul + China Glaze
Apparently the Sephora VIB sale is coming up this week on November 7th and I still haven't received my VIB invite or email! I wonder if it will come in the mail at the last minute or after it has started but it bugs me that I haven't received it by now. Some of the stuff I wanted, I have pinned it on my Wishlist Board on Pinterest but I have to think really hard about what I'm really going to get. I have to try really hard not to break the bank, lol.
Anyhoo, I did a little bit of shopping last Friday. It was payday and I had a lousy day so I needed a pick me up retail therapy. I stopped by TJ Maxx and Sally Beauty Supply on my way home from work.
I don't know about you guys but I'm addicted to getting these nail polish deals at TJ. I got this set of Nicole by OPI for just $5.99. A present to myself, hehe.
Going to run out of my night time cream soon so when I saw the Shiseido Night Moisture Recharge at TJ for just $24.99. I felt like it was the perfect time to get it. Normally retails for $42.50 so it was hard to ignore the sale price.
Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Treatment, $6.99. I've never purchased a full size of Korres products but I've tried some samples. What raised my interest was that it is a mattifying treatment and I tend to get oily on my T-zone so I'm excited to give this a try and see how that works out. It retails for $38.00, another score and I probably wouldn't have picked it up at the regular price.
The new holiday set from China Glaze are now available at Sally Beauty Supply. The only one that I thought was nice is Be Merry Be Bright (on the left). It's a mix of fuchsia and purple glitters in a clear base. Travel in Colour is a frosty shimmery white with blue and pink shimmers. I don't know if that was part of the holiday collection but Sally had a bunch of these mini bottles.
That's it for my little haul. What are you planning to get on the VIB sale?

Latest TJ Haul
Is it Friday yet? I can't wait for the long week-end and school starts next week for the kids.
I stopped by TJ Maxx the other day. I needed to return something and along the way, I also took the opportunity to look around for stuff.
A couple weeks ago, I had received a deluxe sample of Yellow Diamond and loved it so I think it was fate that I stumbled upon it again. This huge 3 oz eau de toilette bottle is more than a handful and looks bright and cheerful on my so-called vanity. I got it for $59.99, intact and still wrapped in manufacturing packaging. It usually retails for $89.00.
It has a sparkling fresh scent. It smells flowery, citrusy, and lightly woodsy. I can't figure for the life of me why they don't have an eau de parfum version of it. My only complaint is that the scent fades after a couple hours so I would need to keep a back up spray in my purse for touch up. That might be a good thing for people who don't want a strong scent but I want an all day affair when it comes to fragrance and makeup. I was just at The Burlington Coat Factory yesterday and also spotted another one of these Yellow Diamond. So with that said, if Yellow Diamond sounds like something you might like, you may be able to find good deal on it at the stores I mentioned.

Right Amount of Evil and Spazmatic |
Nail polish, nail polish, and more nail polish...Yeah I know. I buy nail polish like I buy water. TJ sells a duo like these for $6.99. So I'm going to shamelessly admit that I tampered with the nail polishes. I'm bad but I didn't like the pair it originally came with so I switched one nail polish for another. I don't think they really care anyways. Half of their makeup is pretty much destroyed or gone bad, no one is buying, yet it is still sitting on the shelf for sale.
And lastly, I grabbed a pair of nude flats with gold studs. Super duper cute! They fit nicely but my stupid ankles are still swelling so the straps feel a little tight around the ankles. Well I couldn't pass this up for $19.99.

Sparitual Swatch - Endless Possibilities and Undercurrent
About a week ago, I went to TJ Maxx and decided to scoop two more Sparitual nail polishes. They were $3.99 each. I gotta say I am very pleased with the Sparitual formulas. They are nearly perfect!
Endless Possibilities is a very dark plum color that looks almost black after 3 layers. The formula is more of a jelly cream. Not too thick or thin but fairly saturated, easy to work with, and opaque in two coats. First, coat is much lighter but a bit streaky. You could probably get away with just 2 coats but depending on your brush strokes you might need a 3rd coat to balance out some uneven spots. It's dark and vampy. A good base for layering.
Undercurrent is a dark dusky blue with a cream finish. It looks brighter on the photos but it's a bit darker in person. First coat is uneven but only require 2 coats for full opacity and even color. The formula was also very nice and easy to work with. Both of these polishes have a very high glossy shine to them without a top coat. Looooove it!

Haul - Sally Beauty Supply, Walgreens, and TJ Maxx
TGIF and I have the day off to just chill. I know I've been slacking off on my my blog lately but I've been feeling pretty exhausted these past few days as well with all these stuff going on at work.
I did manage to make a few shopping trips in the past few days so here's what I picked up...
From Sally Beauty Supply
- Ion Repair Solution Conditioner, Free (typically retails for $5.99). My Sally Beauty membership expires this month so I decided to renew. It's $5.00 to renew but you get back $5.00 in coupon to be used on your next purchase and you get to select one of a few haircare product for free. So basically, the membership pays for itself and you get a freebie so you are really getting more bang for your buck. On top of that, you also get membership discounts for a year.
- Orly Melodious Utopia, on clearance for $3.99. This polish has a very pretty but subtle pink shimmer to it.
- Hairtrition Bodifying shampoo, on clearance for $3.99. I thought the nutrition facts on the packaging was pretty cool and it smells sooooo good! I might have to go back and grab more of these if I can still find it on clearance.
- Mambo 3-Way Buffer, $2.49. I like the ergonomic shape of this nail buffer. It blends, smooth, and shine. Buffing your nails helps make nail polish application smoother.
- Teasing comb, $1.79.
Walgreens Haul
- All Sally Hansen nail treatment products are on sale for 50% off this week. After scoping out the sale rack, I decided to get the Healthy Cuticles Now Vitamin Treatment and the Hard as Wraps Strength Treatment.
- I also spotted a few new Sally Hansen Sugar Coat polishes but I was immediately drawn to Royal Icing. Ahh it's so pretty in the bottle. It's baby blue and has pretty pink and gold sparkles.
TJ Maxx Haul
- I spotted quite a few Sparitual polishes at TJ so you might wanna check your local TJ if they have some. They normally retail for $10.00 but TJ has them for $3.99 each.
- I got two pairs of sandals, which I am excited about because they look adorable. Since my ankle is not completely healed, it's safer for me to wear flat shoes. Yes, it would be better for me to wear more comfortable shoes with a little more arch but I have a hard time finding one that I like.
- The first pair is a nude/light peachy coral strap sandals from Bandolino ($24.99). I normally wear size 8 but since they didn't have it, I opted for 7 1/2 which still fits but the 8 would have been better. I always look for sandals that have a padded insoles and this one has.
- The second pair is a wedge sandal from Tommy Hilfiger. I got it on clearance for $20.00. It was hard to pass at that price. It does have a bit of damage on the sole where the fabric came off a little but that doesn't bother me because it won't be visible once I wear them. The design is super cute and totally my style. The heel is actually not too high or straining on the feet so I might just be able to wear it. If not then for next summer. I love the color.
That's it for now. I'm expecting a package this weekend so there'll be another haul coming soon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
