Sleek i-Divine Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Swatches, and Makeup Looks

I've been extremely lazy with blogging AND putting on makeup lately. Plus with the warm and sometime hot weather, I really prefer to wear as little makeup as possible because I sweat really easily and it always feels like my face is going to fall off. This is interfering with my reviews. Heat makes me crabby. Other than that, lately I also feel a lack of excitement with the beauty world. Like I need to slow down and take a break from time to time to just relax or find another fun way to pass the time. Anyhow, sorry for being a pooper. It's Monday and I had a long day...let's move on to the review.

Packaging
  • The palette was much smaller than I expected. The eyeshadow pans are about the size of a nickel.
  • The packaging is made out of black matte plastic with a large mirror and double-ended sponge tip applicator included. It does get a bit dirty as you handle it because it attracts finger prints, other than that I do like the sleek and compact packaging.
  • There is 12 eyeshadow pans with different colors. Each pan is 1.1 g or .03 oz. Inside the palette is a sheet of clear plastic with the name of the eyeshadows labeled on it. I do like that each eyeshadow has a name.

Product

Top row from left to right:
  • Bow - satin matte off white. Soft texture, pigmentation is average. It kind of blend right in on my skin.
  • Organza - frosty warm pink. Creamy texture and good pigmentation.
  • Ribbon - matte salmon/coral. Soft texture and excellent pigmentation
  • Gift Basket - very shimmery medium bronze. Creamy texture and very good pigmentation.
  • Glitz - very shimmery metallic gunmetal grey with blue undertone. Creamy texture and very good pigmentation.
  • Celebrate - dark shimmery eggplant with pink shimmers. Love this color! Creamy texture and very good pigmentation.

Bottom row from left to right:

  • Pamper - light matte warm pink. Soft texture and good pigmentation.
  • Gateau - very frosty shimmery light cool pink with gold shimmers.
  • The Mail - matte medium warm beige. Slightly dry texture, poor pigmentation.
  • Boxed - matte medium brown. Slightly dry texture, ok pigmentation.
  • Wrapped Up - matte medium brown with a purple undertone. Slightly dry texture, ok pigmentation.
  • Noir - matte black. Slightly dry texture but excellent pigmentation. I was quite surprised at how black and pigmented this eyeshadow turned out.

Final Thought

This palette is great for day to night looks and if you want colors that are soft and feminine, you'd like this. Most of the colors have good pigmentation, though a couple of the lighter shades really don't do anything for me. I like how they included 3 dark shades to give depth and dimension for a sexy smoky look if I wanted to go there. The colors also work great together. Overall, I like. Still wish for better color pay off on some of the matte shades.

Sleek i-Divine Garden of Eden Palette - Review, Swatches, and Makeup Looks

Other than working, I have nothing planned for summer. It's a little sad thinking about it but I should probably still take a few days off here and there just to relax. What's on your summer agenda?
Today, I have another Sleek Makeup review for you.

Product
  • Top row from left to right:
Gates of Eden - medium shimmery golden bronze. Creamy texture, nice pigmentation.
Eve's Kiss - shimmery light violet. Creamy texture, nice pigmentation. Love this color!
Paradise on Earth - shimmery metallic medium mauve with purple undertone.  Creamy texture, nice pigmentation. Another stunning shade and my favorite here.
Python - shimmery medium brown. Texture is a little drier and pigmentation is average.
Forbidden - matte light greyish taupe with scattered small gold glitters. Texture is dry and pigmentation is poor.
Flora - Medium matte brown. Texture is dry and pigmentation is poor.
  • Bottom row from left to right:
Entwined - light taupe brown matte with scattered gold glitters. Texture is dry and pigmentation is poor.
Adam's Apple - light yellow green matte. Soft texture and decent pigmentation.
Fig - frosty shimmery light yellow green. Decent texture and pigmentation.
Evergreen - frosty shimmery light seafoam green. Decent texture and pigmentation.
Fauna - shimmery medium green with blue undertone. Creamy texture and nice pigmentation.
Tree of Life - dark matte forest green. Texture is slightly dry but pigmentation is good.

Final Thought

The Garden of Eden palette is a mix bag of good and bad...I love the range of color of this palette but am rather disappointed that there are a few pretty colors that suffer from poor pigmentation and dry texture, while some are just stunning and beautiful. These colors would particularly complement hazel and brown eyes. From my experience, Sleek does shimmers quite well, however, the frostier shades aren't as pigmented and the matte shades are a hit or miss.

Rating: 7/10

Sleek i-Divine i-Candy Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Swatches, and Makeup Looks

I am anxious to find out what got stuck inside my mailbox. Apparently, the mailman stuffed a package in there that barely fit and now I can't unlock the mailbox with my key. When I called the apartment office about my dilemma, they told me to check with the manager on duty on Monday and she can address it to the mailman when he makes his round.
I'm expecting some nail polishes and some checks so I'm not sure which one of these is stuck inside my mailbox. But yeah...really. What an inconvenience! This mailman must be either dumb or don't care. Sorry, I'm being judgmental here but I can't help it...where is the common sense?

Anywaysssss....I'm finally getting to play more with my Sleek Makeup eyeshadows so today I have a review on the i-Candy palette.

It's cute how the name and colors in this palette has candy-ish names which fit nicely with the theme.

Products

Top row swatches from left to right:

  • Strawberry Sherbet - shimmery medium pink with blue undertone. Soft texture and good pigmentation.
  • Bon Bon - light shimmery pink with a frostier finish. Creamy texture and good pigmentation.
  • Parma Violet - dark matte purple. The color in the picture isn't what it really looks like, weird! It's bluer and not as red toned in person. Anyways, the texture is soft and has good pigmentation.
  • Apple Sour - frosty light seafoam green. Feels creamy and had good pigmentation.
  • Pear Drop - shimmery chartreuse. Feels creamy and has good pigmentation.
  • Flump - medium purple with red undertone and satin finish. Texture feels slighter drier than the others and also less pigmented.

Bottom row swatches from left to right:

  • Licorice - matte black. Not the blackest black eyeshadow but that might not be a bad thing if you still want to deepen a look without going too dark. Texture and pigmentation is average.
  • Blue Fizzle - shimmery periwinkle blue. Love this kind of blue cause it's much easier to pull off. Nice texture and pigmentation.
  • Aniseed - shimmery pink with subtle gold sheen and slightly frosty. Nice texture and pigmentation.
  • Bubble Gum - medium matte cyan blue. Soft texture and great pigmentation. Slightly powdery.
  • Mint Cream - light seafoam green shimmer, similar to Apple Sour but with a different finish. Creamy texture and good pigmentation.
  • Cream Soda - frosty shimmery white. Nice texture and pigmentation.

Final Thought

It's colorful like candy but not over the top I think. You have a good mix of shimmers, frosty, and matte. Didn't have any major issues with the pigmentation and texture although some are better than others. Overall, I think this is quite a nice palette for the money.

Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes V2 - Swatch and Review

I haven't gotten much use of the Sleek palettes I hauled lately aside from the Ulta Mattes so I'll start my review with this palette. I love to have a good variety of matte eyeshadows because they are just perfect to add contrast to an eye makeup look so when I heard about this palette, I knew I had to eventually get my hands on it.

Product

  • Top row from left to right:

Orbit - medium dark matte teal. Has fair pigmentation and a little patchy.
Ink - matte navy blue. Very dry, patchy, seriously lacks pigmentation, and hard to blend.
Highness - matte medium purple with red undertone. Dry, patchy, and poor pigmentation.
Noir - dark matte charcoal grey. Fair pigmentation.
Dune - light flesh nude matte. Fair pigmentation and creamy soft texture.
Pillow Talk - matte white. Fair pigmentation and creamy soft texture.

  • Bottom row from left to right:

Thunder - matte light grey. Poor pigmentation.
Maple - matte brick red. Good pigmentation. Soft and creamy textured.
Flesh - matte light beige. Good pigmentation. Soft and creamy textured.
Paper Bag - medium dark matte brown, cool undertone. Good pigmentation. Soft and creamy textured.
Villan - dark brownish plum. Very pigmented, soft and creamy textured. A bit hard to blend evenly.
Fern - medium matte emerald green.

Final Thought

I love the range of colors in this palette, the sleek, practical and compact packaging. The reviews I read online were somewhere between very good and average. In my personal opinion, I would put this palette at average and that's mainly because only half of the shades in this palette met my expectation. The other half felt dry, patchy, and had poor pigmentation. These definitely do need eyeshadow primer for best result.

My First Sleek Makeup Haul

What I look most forward to in April are the birthday coupons and deals so I've been trying to figure out what I want for my birthday already. Aside from that I received my VIB coupon yesterday. Unfortunately, it seems only VIBs are eligible for this coupon, valid from April 3 to 11, using coupon code VIBTICKET.
Ulta also sent me a $10 off birthday coupon and a coupon for a free CK mascara...ughh it's too bad because I don't wear mascara but I'll still get it cause it's free, heheh. They also sent me a 20% off coupon which I just received today in the mail. Alright, I'm gonna have to start to gather all my coupons and go on a shopping spree. Do you have any recommendations on what I should get? What other birthday deals should I look into?

Ok sorry I got a little carried away. Yesterday, I received my first Sleek Makeup order. I have been wanting to order from them for a while and just been dragging my feet but when they had sale promo a couple weeks ago, I jumped on the opportunity. Everything was 20% off. After thinking long and hard, I decided to get 4 eyeshadow palettes and an eyeliner.

I was a bit surprised when I received the eyeshadow palettes. They were a lot smaller than I expected them to be. Each eyeshadow pan is about the size of a nickel. On the flip side, I actually appreciate how compact they are. Each palette is normally priced at $11.99 and the Eau La La liner is normally priced at $7.49.
I was really tempted to get some blushes but I have way to many so perhaps I'll grab them next time.
They only charged me $4.45 for shipping from UK to US so that's pretty good I say. Shipping and processing was pretty good too. I received my order within 2 weeks.

Whew! I have a lot of colors to play with. I will post reviews for each palette individually.

What is your favorite Sleek eyeshadow palette?
