New Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Polish Swatches

I picked up these two new shades from Walgreens a few days ago primarily because I have seen some gorgeous swatches of them. Ok it is just me or do you feel a little cheated when you see a gorgeous swatch picture and you run to the store to get it and when you try it out in real life it doesn't look nearly as good as the picture you saw.
Anyways, this is Freeze! and I can tell you right now that the color captured on these picture are not very accurate. My camera went nuts when I tried to capture this beauty. It is actually a lot more pretty in person. It's brighter, bluer (like an electrifying cobalt blue), and very eye catching. Has a lot of depth and dimension to it. The formula works well and dries fairly quick but I hate the brush. The brush is stiff, uneven, wide, and so is the wand. I get nail polish all over my cuticles and that's really annoying having to clean up the mess. This is opaque in two coats.

In a Flurry is a dark jelly base color with teal green and purple shimmers. It is more on the sheer side though you can achieve opacity in 3 coats. Formula is easy to work with so that makes the problem I have with the brush not such a big deal. Love the color though I wished it had more depth to it.

  4. Insta-Dri's are some of my favorite polishes.. I have about 7 or 8 of them and they're all great! I just got two on clearance for 2 bucks each, a bright fuchsia cream and a bright blue cream. They're both one-coaters and GORGEOUS ;) Love the formula, brush, and dry time with these! ;)

  5. Did you have any problems with staining when you took off the Freeze? I want that one b/c it reminds me so much of OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It but people had problems with staining when removing it so I steered clear but always wanted the color. Now that Sally Hansen has it, I am thinking of trying it but don't want to deal with staining. Maybe wearing a base coat and then putting down a coat of black would help?

    1. I did not notice a problem with staining but that maybe due to the fact that I only wore it long enough to take pictures of it. If most people say it stains then I believe it is likely true. Using a base coat is good but sometimes, your nails still end up being stained. I just googled ways you could remove stains and apparently bleach and toothpaste seem to be some of the suggestions outhere. I personally haven't tried that yet but now that you ask, I think I should.
