The NYX Wonder Pencil is marketed as a multi-purpose pencil. You can use it to line your waterline, line your lips against bleeding or to add definition, and to conceal blemishes. I primarily purchased it for use on the waterline so I got the lightest shade. It is rather too light to be used as a concealer for my skintone.
Packaging
- Thin pencil that will need sharpening.
- .04 oz or 1g
Product
- When I swatched it on the skin, I noticed that the pigmentation was decent but the product doesn't seem to set so if you were to rub your finger on it, it will rub away. I doubt that it will work well as a concealer. I think the best uses would be the waterline and to add more definition to your lips.
- On the waterline, the brightening effect is subtle but noticeable and looks very natural.
- The pencil is not too creamy but creamy enough that you won't need to use so much pressure to deposit the color. It also has a waxy feel to it.
- After a couple hours, I noticed a good amount of fading. Alas! It's hard to find a pencil that last on the waterline.
Final Thought
Thought this pencil is multi-tasking, I would be cautious when used for the eyes and for blemishes. Must either sanitize between uses or better yet, use a different pencil. Longevity is a bit disappointing but texture and pigmentation is fairly good.

I like how it looks on the waterline. I wished it lasted longer
DeleteI love this on the waterline!
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
DeleteVery natural and the glow is subtle...I have always been going back to one or two shades I have for highlighting my brow so I have no need for this although I'd love to try a pinky one!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't highlight my brows. I think this might be too light for me.
DeleteLove how it can be a dupe for the ever so famous MAC Chromagraphic in NW20 :) Looks absolutely great on the waterline!

Shari
Yes it can but I wonder if the MAC chromographic performs better.
DeleteIt looks good on the waterline! I've been meaning to get a skintone pencil for the waterline for ages but keep putting it off.... Been debating about this or the Rimmel version.
ReplyDeleteThe Rimmel version looks a little more peachy. I actually prefer this color for the waterline. It looks more natural.
DeleteI need this for my lips! I hope I can find this too hehe.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll get the medium shade for the lips as well.
DeleteSince it's so cheap I might pick it up on BOGO at Ulta just for my waterline--mine always seem red since I don't sleep enough, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt will make your eyes brighter and awake. I miss going to Ulta.
DeleteI have this too and agree with the lasting power, but I've just come to accept the fact that not much will last in my waterline lol, which is why I bought this pencil too. Great review xx
ReplyDeleteyeah and even when they do, they always seem to fade more around the corners.
DeleteIt does have a nice brightening effect though. Have you ever tried setting you water line with a powder after lining with cream/pencil? It helps a bit with the fading.
ReplyDeleteYea I've done that with black liners and it does help but sometimes I just don't have time or forget to add powder to it.
