Swatches - Layla Soft Touch Effect Turquoise Splash 10 and Ceramic Effect CE42
These are the two polishes that I was fortunate enough to pick up from Ulta's Clearance rack for only $4.99 each a week or two ago. They typically retail for $10 so getting them for half off was a pretty good deal. The formula was nearly perfect and dried fairly quickly.
Apparently, these don't have names on the packaging. All I see is just a number but the funny thing is when I tried to google them, they do have names. So I don't understand why they are not printed or labeled as so on the bottle itself. This has a number 10 printed on the cap but it's actually called Turquoise Splash. At first, I didn't think I needed it. It looked pretty similar to Orly Halley's Comet and Essence Choose Me. But I'm so glad that I got it because wow it looks freaking awesome and different once on the nails. It's a gorgeous turquoise with small teal green shimmers and a semi-matte finish. The formula was great! It was pretty pigmented but I needed a second coat to get an even and perfect coverage. Must grab this polish if you find it on Ulta's clearance!
CE42, I don't know if it comes by any other names but if it does, let me know cause I have no clue. This is a bright turquoise cream. Applied a little patchy but other than that it was very pigmented and flowed very nicely and easily on the nails. I have two coats on the swatch but a third one may be needed to eliminate the patchy areas, which are actually not that noticeable in person.
Tried Layla polishes? So far I like the brand.
