My Skincare Regimen

I thought I'll post here my current skincare routine and products and briefly go over them. I'm always trying out new things so once I am done with these and using new products. I will do a new skincare regimen post. By the way, these are products I use every day.

The above products are what I use in the morning:

1. St Ives Make Up Remover & Facial Cleanser. This face cleanser has a creamy gel-like consistency and doesn't foam. It has a fresh and pleasant floral scent and also contain chamomile extract. I found that it doesn't work too well at removing makeup but I love to use it in the morning to clean my face. It's inexpensive and you can find it in most drugstore.

2. Lancome Absolute Eye. This was part of a skincare kit I bought from Lancome. This is not the full size jar. I just wanted to test out Lancome skincare products. I think an eye cream is something everyone should use and me especially now that I am in my thirties. This is where the signs of aging will start. I started noticing a couple fine lines in my late twenties and I have been using eye creams for the past couple years. I don't have very dark circles under my eyes so that's not a big issue. I'm not sure if creams actually can get rid of dark circles anyways; however, they will keep your skin hydrated, prevent puffiness, and delay the appearance of wrinkles.

3. Lancome High Resolution Collaser-5X. This is an anti-wrinkle serum and although I do not have wrinkles on my face, I use this anyways as prevention. This is more of a targeted spot treatment so you would apply it where you feel your skin needs the most. I personally use this between my mouth and cheeks, where people normally get lines from excessive facial expression.
This was part of a gift with purchase. I suggest you be on the lookout for gift with purchase promotions when you want to test out new products such as Lancome and Estee Lauder.

4. Avon Anew Reversalist Day. I don't feel that this cream is a miracle worker but it does what I mostly want it to do. It moisturizes and has SPF 25. I like to have sunscreen included in my day cream/moisturizer. The sun is one of the main cause of skin damage and wrinkles. So if you want to stay looking young, protect yourself and avoid extended exposure in the sun. Even if you are not directly under the sun, you can still be exposed to UV rays.

The above products are what I use in the evening:

5. Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Cleanser. Afer I remove my eye makeup with a cotton pad and makeup remover, I go straight to the sink to wash my face. This cleanser is awesome. It comes eith a pump and you get a foam when you pump it. My foundation and the rest of my makeup just melts on contact with this foam. I can see my foam changing color as it removes my makeup. It takes so little effort for this to work. Although this is a foamy cleanser, I find that it is still gentle and not overly drying on my skin. It smells nice too. This product is inexpensive and can be found in most drugstore.

6. St Ives Green Tea Scrub. After I wash off my makeup, I like to exfoliate my face. I don't know, it just feels cleaner that way. I really like this scrub because the scrubbing beads are very small and not harsh on the skin which makes this suitable for daily use. This contains salisylic acid to prevent breakout and green tea extract. This is actually my second one and I'd definitely repurchase unless I find something better. Again, St Ives products are easily accessible and very affordable.

7. Lancome Absolute Eye. Yes, I use this again in the evening after I've cleansed my face and before going to bed. You should moisturize your skin at least twice a day to keep it young and supple.

8. Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair. This is quite expensive and one of Estee Lauder's star product, fortunately for me this came with a gift with purchase so therefore this is just a trial size. I use this to moisturize my skin before bedtime. It is a thin gel-line consistency and absorbs really quick. This bottle may look small but a little goes a long way. About 5 drops is enough to cover my entire face. It has a weird scent that is hard to describe. I don't find it offensive or anything but it fades as soon as the product is absorbed into the skin. Because it's a gel, it does not leave a greasy feeling behind. Regardless of what I use, I always moisturize my skin twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. It keeps my skin in good condition.

What are some of your favorite skincare products?
