New product from Revlon -- ColorBurst Lipgloss!

Another product I picked up from K-Mart is this new ColorBurst lipgloss. I'm so proud of myself that it's the only beauty product I bought last night, whewee! But anyways, I saw these lipglosses standing there by the cosmetic isle and I was like WOW, I've got to try it! I'm a big fan of the Revlon ColorBurst lipsticks so I was very curious about these new lipglosses. They had a nice range of colors and it took me a while to figure which color to get because I wanted to limit myself to just one...at least for now, hehe. I just wanted to test one first. These retails for $7-8 depending on where you purchase them.

So I went with the shade Bordeaux. I don't have anything similar to it. At least not that I remember, lol. I really like the packaging. It looks lean and sexy and the quilted pattern makes the product looks fancy. This comes with a doe-foot applicator but this applicator feels more round and weird. I would've preferred a slanted tip because it would be easier to apply the gloss around the edge of my lips.

I'm really liking this color. It looks like a deepened raspberry or pinkish plum. It's decently pigmented but not opaque or too sheer either. In the packaging, you can see some fine gold sparkles. I don't know why but I've really been drawn to lip products with gold shimmers lately. It smells like the ColorBurst lipstick, just a faint synthetic scent. The gloss feels light and non-sticky. I think many people will like this product. I know I do.

Have you tried these yet? If so, which color did you get?

  1. Pretty color, something that would catch my eye in the store. I own a colorburst lipgloss in peach petal but it's too light for me. Might try this one out.

  2. Yah, I didn't think they were going to be this sheer. I'm glad I picked a darker shade.
