Revlon Celestial FX Swatches
Hello Lovelies,
I went to Walgreens the other day to pick up some cold score medicine for my son and of course I had to swing by the beauty isle to see if anything catches my eyes. Well, this glitter polish did! Isn't it cute or what?
Revlon Celestial FX has silver holographic moons, stars, diamonds, as well as tiny glitters in a clear base.
The base was not too thick or thin, which was good. However, I did have to fish for the glitters that I want and had to use a dotting tool to pick them up and place them where I want them, lol. Not too tedious but does require an extra step if you want to position the glitters a certain way.
For these swatches, I'm wearing 2 coats of Zoya Marina underneath and 2 coats of Revlon Celestial FX.
They also had another one with gold and hearts. I don't know why I didn't pick it up.
Have you seen these yet? Is that something you would purchase?
Prestige Total Intensity Against All Odds Liquid Ink Eyeliners
I didn't go out yesterday but I did earlier and the stores looked pretty empty, lol. I guess most people are at home watching the super bowl. It's not as cold as yesterday, which was nice too.
Prestige just recently launched some new items and their eyeliners have been under my radar. I've had good experience with their eyeliners in the past so I was excited to test these out.
Packaging
- The eyeliner comes with a felt tip applicator. I find it pretty easy to use though I personally would prefer it to be just a tad more flexible.
- .095 oz or 2.8 ml
- Around the Clock is a reddish purple with pink and blue micro glitters.
- Stalker is a matte cool tone medium green.
Product
- The formula is rather wet and thin so you would actually need a couple pass in order to look even and opaque. The pigmentation is not bad but it does need to be layered. I personally don't really mind that cause I usually do that anyways when I apply eyeliners.
- Once it dries, it's very long-wearing and won't budge, smudge, or migrate until you take it off.
- It doesn't claim to be waterproof but you will need a waterproof eye makeup remover to get this off because that how good it stays put.
If you don't mind layering and if liquid eyeliners is your cup of tea, then I think you will be happy with these due to their long-lasting quality. They are a bit pricy and can be purchased at Ulta for $9.49. Try getting them during a BOGO sale if they are of interest.
My rating: 9/10.

Benefit Swatch and Review - Coral My World Set
This little handy dandy Benefit set is sold at Sephora for only $12.00. Pretty awesome for beauty junkies like myself because you don't have to dish out a lot of money on the full size product but still get to try it. You'll definitely get a decent amount of use out of them before you decided if you actually need the full size. I love it when companies sell a mini version of it. The only full size products I'm able to finish are skincare. The rest take a lot longer, especially with a large collection.
On this set, Coralista comes in a cheap black plastic packaging. The packaging is not the sturdiest but it's practical. It contains 3 g or 0.1 oz of product. The full size contains .28 oz for $28.00, which is just a little over 50% more. I actually don't like the bulky packaging of the full size but it does include a brush, which most of us probably don't need.
Coralista is a bit loose and powdery but doesn't feel dry. It is quite gorgeous when blended. It has a subtle gold sheen to it. It's very easy to apply and blend, almost fool-proof since it would be hard to overdo. The wear time is about 5 hours on me before it starts fading. So I would say it's pretty average. Because I find it rather light, it might not show well on people with darker skintone.
I like it overall. It gives me a nice dewy flushed cheeks.
I would give it a 8/10 rating.
Sun beam is a highlighter. It contains 4.0 mL or .13 oz. The packaging is similar to the full size version, which contains .45 oz (3 times more) for $26.00.
Comes with a small brush applicator similar to nail polish brushes.
Sunbeam is a rather cool toned golden sheen. Looks very subtle on me. It blends fairly easily but I prefer to use a stipple blush to blend it. To me it's a nice to have but don't need it kind of product. Others might feel differently about it. It does however last quite well and will make it through most of your day. I guess highlighters aren't really something I feel does much enhancement on me. Overall, it is still a good product though.
I would give it a 9/10 rating.

Love & Beauty Nail Polish Swatches
Happy Saturday everyone!
It's been bitter cold these last couple days...like stinging cold so I don't plan on going anywhere unless I have to. Oh crap, I just remember I do need to go somewhere, lol. Have to pick up a birthday gift. Hopefully, I won't do too much damage cause I tend to wander off where I didn't intentionally plan to.
Here are the swatches for the Love & Beauty polishes I picked up from Forever 21 last week.
- Crystal Light Aqua. I guess they don't have the most creative or fun names for their polishes but I'm quite happy with these. This is like a light greyish white with teal shimmers. It applies a bit unevenly with some streaking but looks good on the 3rd coat. Really cool looking polish with a pearly finish. I have nothing like this in my stash.
- Light Grey Lavender. I guess the name sums it all. It is light grey and has lavender shimmers in it. Gorgeous, I didn't expect to like this one more than Crystal Light Aqua. It's actually my favorite of the three. Formula was the same as the above and needed 3 coats for even and opaque finish. This is another one unique polish.
- Sage. Cool-toned light green shimmers. Very nice and soft. Looks a bit more frosted than I anticipated. The formula was thin and sheer so I needed at least 3 coats. There's still a bit of visible nail line but not too obvious.
Have you tried these colors? Which Love & Beauty polish would you recommend?

Orly Angel Eyes Swatches
Here's another polish from Sally Beauty's clearance section. This was another one I was tempted to buy when it was still regular price. In this case, good things come to those who wait, lol. I quickly put it in my basket as soon as I saw the clearance sticker on it.
So this is pretty much just a clear base with blue glitters and hologaphic glitters. I probably could've recreated this look with Finger Paints Laugh My Art Off and Nina Ultra Pro Holographic top coat but IDK, I still felt like I needed to get it, especially since the price went down.
Anyways, swatches were done with 3 coats and a top coat.
Huge Collective Haul - Very Pic Heavy
Hello lovelies,
Excuse my short absence. This has been a rather crazy week and I am thankful it's Friday and that I don't have to work tomorrow. So this blog started as a small random haul and before I get a chance to post it, I've already accumulated much more so it became a collective haul. I need to stop so I can save up for something more important than makeup, smh. It's so hard! Especially when I see new things because I get so excited.
CVS HAUL
Fortunately, most of the items I got from CVS were on clearance for 50% off, except for one.
- Rimmel Kate 04. I've been wanting to pick up this lipstick for a while so I'm pretty happy I got it for 50% off.
- Sally Hansen Color Quick, Black Cherry and Purple, also on sale. I think these will be great for nail stamping :)
- Wet N Wild Glamrock was also on sale for 50%. Didn't need this but it was dirty cheap on sale. Why not right? lol.
- Physicians Formula Nude Eyes Shimmer Strips Liquid Metal Eyeliner Trio...whew, what a long name. This was not on sale and are new so I'm exited to try. I really wanted the BB cream though but the display only had 4 slots and of course was sold out by the time I got to it. However, this purchase qualified for a $7 rewards buck coupon, which was pretty awesome because I think I'm going to use it towards the new Maybelline Color Whispers.
BIG LOTS, TARGET, AND MARSHALLS HAUL
- Sally Hansen Black and Blue. Found this polish at Target and couldn't get over the duochrome I saw on the bottle so I took it home with me.
- Peter Coppola eyelashes. I found these at Marshalls for less than $5. I like how spiky they are.
- Big Lots had a sale day last week where everything was 20% off so I had to go check it out and came home with a bunch of snacks and a few beauty items such as this Revlon lip brush. It really feels like good quality to me. For only $2, I'd be nuts to leave it. Yep, I guess that's the mentality of a shopaholic.
- I can't remember the last time I used a Maybelline eyeshadow palette. They are usually not under my radar but since this one was only $1.50, it was insane not to buy. New thing to try out :D
- Calvin Klein Wedgwood eyeshadow. Well, would you look at that? I scored a CK eyeshadow for $5.50 at Big Lots. There wasn't that many colors but I liked this one. This has a really awesome packaging.
ULTA HAUL
See what a coupon does to me? It tells me I need to shop! LOL...I used a 20% coupon for these items.
- Ulta brand products were buy 2 get 1 free, so I went with these foaming hand soaps cause you just can't have too many at home.
- These were Katy Perry eyelashes were on sale for less than $5 so I felt like I wanted to give them a try since I like how they look.
- Nicole by OPI She's Lily Something. Who is this modern family? Looks like a TV show I didn't know about, lol. Anyhow, this is a pretty sheer nail polish, which I'm fine with that because I plan to use it to layer over another color. Aside from being sheer it seems to have a nice appeal to it. I couldn't resist the pink and purple shimmers along with the pink star glitters. So adorable!
- NYX Xtreme Lip Cream Skin Tone. I wonder why they made the packaging look like the Soft Matte cause I almost didn't notice that they were a different formula.I wanted a lighter color but it seemed like many of them have been swatched! Ughh, can't they just have a tester so that people stop swatching them and I can at least buy a clean one?
- OPI Pink Yet Lavender. This is part of the Mariah Carey collection. Yep, you know me I can never get enough glitters.
- Ulta Extreme Wear Lip Stain. I found this lipstain on the clearance bin for just a couple bucks so I thought why not try it.
I'm pretty happy that I was either able to score most of these items with a coupon or catching them on clearance and sale. Did you haul anything this week?
