Black Friday Deals

So here are some beauty deals that I am contemplating for this Holiday. There are a lot more out there but these are the one I am mainly interested in.

Inglot. 15% off with free shipping from 11/24 to 11/28. I am very likely to make a purchase with Inglot, 99.9% sure, lol.
YSL. 20% off, free shipping, free gift for purchase over $100 on 11/28, with code MONDAY. I love YSL lipsticks but most likely don't need anything from them at the moment. I still think 20% off is pretty good if you want to try their products.
Eve Pearl. 40-55% off from 11/24 through 11/28 with coupon code BPTG2011. I have the duo salmon concealer and duo cream foundation, which I really love. I think the sale is amazing, although I don't think I need anything at the moment but you never know if I'm going to make an impulsive purchase or not.
Z Palette. 20% off 11/24 through 11/27. Additional 10% if you like their Facebook page. I could use a couple of these. So I might place an order.
Beauty.com. No word yet on what type of deal they will have but I will be checking. If Beauty.com has some good deals, I am interested in the Butter London nail polishes.
Sigma Makeup. Don't know yet what they have in store but it looks like they have something up their sleeves. I might get a couple more brushes...like I don't have enough already.

Alright so I think that is pretty much what I have under the radar. Please pray for me! By the way, like my tee-shirt? LOL.

What do you plan on purchasing for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick Swatches - Violet Frenzy, Raspberry Bite, Va Va Violet

Violet Frenzy was from one of the recent Revlon collection, which I don't know the name, lol. I just know that I spotted it next to the Facets of Fuchsia nail polish and thought the color looked pretty in the tube so I just had this urge to own it. The formula is a bit sheer and glossy. It's a pretty and wearable pinkish purple. These Revlon lipsticks retail for about $7-8 depending on where you purchase them. I am not sure if this shade is limited edition.

The first time I tried Raspberry Bite on my lips, I was like Oh My Gawwwd! The color, pigmentation, and formula is amazing. I love the consistency of this lipstick. It felt very luxurious and velvety. One thing I notice about Revlon Superlustrous lipsticks is that they tend to be inconsistent as far as formula goes. This one is amazing and the color is very fun to wear.

Va Va Violet is a dark vampy purple. I was hoping the color payoff would be more opaque but it is much lighter than it looks in the tube. I am slightly disappointed that the formula feels a bit gossy. I don't really like that in dark colors because they tend to settle into the lip lines, apply unevenly, and make dry lips look more obvious.

Essence Look At Me Lipstick Review and Swatches

Wow, it has been such a long time since I did a lipstick post. I actually had this lipstick for quite some time already.
As far as I know, this brand can be found at Ulta. I don't know any other stores in the states that carries it but if you've seen it somewhere else, please do let me know. I think I bought this lipstick for just a couple bucks, so it's pretty affordable.

Packaging
  • The standard lipstick tube. The packaging looks cheap. I guess you can't expect much for a couple bucks. Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Product
  • The lipstick has a sweet scent like toffee or caramel, which doesn't bother me.
  • The formula feels nice, creamy, and somewhat moisturizing.
  • This lipstick has a frost finish. Not so much to the point it becomes obnoxious. I like it just the way it is.
  • The color is a pinkish nude and semi-opaque. There are certain nude lipsticks that I try to stay away from because they make me look like I'm sick or something but I believe this one will look good on every skintone.
Conclusion

I love the formula and color of this lipstick. It's very flattering. I get about 2-3 hours of wear before I feel the need to reapply. I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget, love nudes, and don't mind a bit of frost. My rating 9/10.

Have you tried this brand? If yes, which product would you recommend?

CCO Haul and Swatches

Usually when I go to the outlet mall, the CCO is the first thing that comes to mind. I haven't been there in months so I was curious to see what I will find. To be honest, I didn't really see much that caught my attention, which is good I suppose. Still managed to do some damage regardless, ughhh, yeah I know, I have a problem but whatever, it makes me happy.

I think I can say that the BB Styling lotion wasn't something that I needed but bought it out of curiousity and impulse since I did enjoy the shampoo and conditioner that I got from my Sephora 500 point perk a while back. This product is suppose to be used for blow drying or when using hot tools for volume, flexible hold, and protecting hair from the heat. It cost $16.00 at the CCO. Retail price is $24.00 according to the product's website.

Pure by DKNY eau de parfum, 1 oz, $36.00. Retails for $45.00 at Sephora. Just wanted to try out this new scent. I really liked it when I first smelled it. Sephora describes this as simple, calm, and authentic. Notes: vanilla, dew-drop petal, lotus flower, bulgarian rose, jasmine, freesia, lush orchid, white amber, and creamy sandalwood. As you can see, it is a floral scent, and typically what I normally go for. I like the soft and feminine scent from this fragrance. I can see myself using this on my typical days.

Saving the best for last...I purchased 4 more Estee Lauder Double Wear shadow creme. They've actually added a lot more color than the last time I was there and I was pretty excited about that. I've already done a review on the two previous shades (Deep Orchid and Silver Leaf) that I purchased a little while back, so I imagine these works just as well. CCO price $12.25. Retail price $17.50. On a side note, I was not allowed to purchase all these at once. The cashier told me that I could only buy 3 so I made my sister buy the 4th one, lol. Thankssss! But what a bummer that there is a limit, especially when you don't live that close to a CCO.
Since I've already done a review, I'm only including swatches for these colors:
  • Buttercreme - shimmery light peach
  • Precious Jade - sage green with gold shimmers
  • Cafe Au Lait - light shimmery beige
  • Gold Dust - shimmery muted gold

So that's it for my haul. Hope you found the swatches helpful.

Have you tried any of these products or would be interested to?

Aldo Burgundy Heels

Hey everyone,

Yesterday, I went to the outlet mall with my family and knowing me, everytime I go shopping, I always come home with stuff.
We stopped by the Aldo store and I saw a couple boots that I liked but they were still pretty expensive so I decided not to get any but when I stumbled upon these heels and saw that they were reasonably marked down for $49.98, I grabbed these babies.

What I like about these shoes:
  • The color, obviously! Most shoe colors are typically black, brown, or grey so I try to avoid those because I need more color selection as far as my shoe collection goes. I absolutely love the color combo in this pair.
  • They mold perfectly around my feet
  • The heel is about 4.5 inches. Yes, kinda high but the platform helps alleviate the torture and I also like that the platform isn't huge or too curvy.
  • They look edgy but still appropriate for office. I usually go for versatile styles so that I can wear them to work or on a night out.
  • They don't look cheap, lol, at least not to me. I hate buying shoes that look cheap by that I mean poorly made or the material lack quality.
  • They are true to size. I'm a size 8.
If you are interested you can try to find these in stores or purchase them online at http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/trends/moody-nature/women/86733845-feast/54

FYI, I am not paid to advertise. Just want to share with people who love shoes like I do.

Do you shop at Aldo? Where do you buy your shoes from?

Surprise Gift From A.Leung...I'm So Stoked I Wanted To Do Back Flips! :D

I was so stoked yesterday when I came home from work and I had two packages waiting for me. First, I received my Deborah Lippmann polishes and then I got this surprise package from A.Leung.
A few months ago, I had sent her some goodies to try out and because she was having a hard time getting a hold of some items and because I wanted to do something nice for all the support she has given me on Luuux. If you follow her, you all know what a sweet and wonderful blogger she is, not to mention "shopaholic" with her hauls after hauls, lol.
First thing I noticed is the cute and colorful wrapping paper on the box. It made me smile when I read the writting on the wrapping paper (see below).

Tada! Here is what it looked like when I unwrapped the box!

When I was taking everything out one by one, I felt all giggly inside, LOL. Silly me, I know but I was just very excited. I love surprises! It felt like Christmas!

She sent me:
Sally Hansen Salon Effect Nail Polish Strips. I have never tried these so I can't wait to see how they look on my nails.
Flowery nail stickers. They look sooo cute! Instant design on your nails. Cool for lazy people like myself.
Ardell Lashes 124.

Bright Up Nano Eye Mask. Eliminates dark circles and tightens eye area.
Natto Mask. I love the fancy packaging!
Aloe Mask. I was soooo thrilled when I found these packets in the box. I've always been curious and wanted to try them. I'm so happy she gave me the opportunity.

Maybelline Master Drama eyeliners in Vibrant Violet and Bold Brown. I have never tried these so definitely looking forward to it :)
Rite Aid Renewal Travel Brush Set. Woo hoo! How cute is this?! These will come in handy. The brushes feel nice and I like that a travel bag was included to store them.

More nail polishes for a nail polish junky! From left to right I have: OPI Pamplona Purple, Ski Teal We Drop, and You Don't Know Jacques!

More Essie Polishes to add to my growing Essie Collection! Yipee Yay! From left to right: Over The Edge, Dive Bar, Mochacino, and Wrapped In Rubbies.
I would like to shout out a HUGE THANK YOUUUUU to Amy for all the wonderful products she sent me and the continued support from one blogger to another. Surprisingly, I have no duplicate of anything she sent and I know she was worried about that but it's all good gurl! I freaken love everything you sent! Everything looks amazing!  <333. She was seriously too kind to send me so many things to try. It totally made my day. Please check out her blog as well and spam her posts with lovely comments.

PS: I would love to do an international swap with someone, if interested let me know.

Let's Get This Party Started With My New Deborah Lippman Polishes

A couple weeks ago Beauty.com had a friends and family sale and you could get 20% off your entire purchase. I jumped on the opportunity to snag these Deborah Lippman polishes that I have been wanting to try for the longest time. On top of the discount, I'm also very happy that I was also able to get free shipping and cash back from Ebates.
I ordered the "Get this party started" set and Across the Universe. I really like the box that the trio polishes came with. It's a pretty sturdy cardboard box and definitely reusable to store other things if you like. These glittery polishes look like a party in a bottle. I just love how fun and sparkly they are to look at.

Get This Party Started set is regularly priced at $42.00

Happy Birthday contains multi-glitter color and sizes in a clear base.

Candy Shop is a bubble gum pink jelly base with what appears to be the same type of glitters in Happy Birthday.

Forget You has a dark jelly base and again same type of glitters are the previous ones. You could probably get away with just Happy Birthday and layer it on top of a black or pink polish to get the same/similar look to Candy Shop and Forget You.

Across The Universe is such an interesting color. I really love how it looks in the bottle and wanted to see if it would look as pretty on the nails. It's a deep blue jelly base with small blue glitters and larger blue and green glitters. Individual polishes from Deborah Lippmann retails for $18.00. I hated to get them at regular price so the sale really helped. I paid $48.00 for these four polishes, it's a saving of $24.00, considering that I was already getting a deal with the trio set.

What do you think of these polishes? Are they worth the price tag?
