Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette

Well, in case you haven't guessed it already, I hauled quite a few Coastal Scents eyeshadow palettes during their Black Friday sale. I think it was the best time to get them because I saved a lot of money by doing so. This palette sales for $21.95 at http://www.coastalscents.com/.
I am very happy with the look and feel of the quality of these eyeshadows. They are sooo pigmented and smooth. I own a variety of drugstore and high-end eyeshadows and I can tell you that these are as good or if not better than some of my pricier eyeshadows. I paid $14.71 for this palette with the sale discount for 12 gorgeous eyeshadows. Can you imagine, this is approximately the cost of one single MAC eyeshadow. This is why when it comes to eyeshadows, I look for a budget friendly alternative without sacrificing quality. This is exactly what these Coastal Scents eyeshadows deliver. Now that I own 4 Coastal Scents Eyeshadow palettes, I can confirm that the hype about them are true.

On the left, Winterberry palette and on the right Fall Festival palette. These two particular eyeshadow palettes are new at Coastal Scents. However, you may purchase the eyeshadow pots individually if you don't need all of the ones that come with the palette. That's when the swatches come in handy. The eyeshadow are individually packaged so you will need to put them in the palette yourself. The palette is magnetized to keep the eyeshadows in place. There is also a large mirror included in the palette.

M04 is a matte light nudy/beige color
ME23 is a metallic orange gold with a frosty finish
S30 is a satin brown with gold and pink micro-shimmers
M23 is a matte black with pink micro-shimmers. This black eyeshadow is not as dark or intense as it looks in the pan.

ME17 is a frosty beigy color with a pink undertone
ME03 is a metallic copper with a frost finish
S14 is a satin blue with a hint of purple and can also be found in the Winterberry palette
ME01 is a dark metallic green with grey undertone and frosty finish. This is the most pigmented eyeshadow in this palette.

ME26 is a bright frosty warm orange
S17 is a satin pinkish red
ME15 is a satin burgundy and can also be found in the Winterberry palette
ME09 is a frosty green with a gold sheen

Overall, I think the Fall Festival palette offers more variety in terms of colors and texture as compared to the Winterberry and the Creative Me #1. I found 2 eyeshadows that overlapped from the Winterberry palette, the ME15 and the S14. Since they have now 2 seasonal palettes, I am guessing they will also release a spring and summer palette soon. I can't wait to see how those will turn out. If you are a budget conscious beauty junky but still want the quality of high-end makeup, definitely check out these eyeshadows.

  1. Wow! You sure did buy quite a bit from Coastal Scents! I've never tried their makeup before and was always wonder if it was good or not. But after seeing your posts, I might actually try them out. I do like the Fall Festive palette and the Winterberry one you posted in a previous post. I'm not sure if I would get the bold colors.

I buy my nail polishes from a nail supply store in Chamblee. There's tons of Nail Supplies stores there but I have only gone to one. It's so amazing so I never tried the other stores. I end up buying tons of polishes at a time because China Glaze is $2. Well the price went up but it's $2.15 now. Since it's so much cheaper there, I find it hard to go to Wal-Mart and buying a cheaper brand for $3.

  2. They are actually pretty good and pigmented. I was pleasantly surprised. I heard so much rave about them on youtube, which convinced me to order some.
I need to look around for some nail supply store that sells for less. You get them for soo cheap I'm jealous! :o

  3. Hey, if you have any specific colors, I can always buy them for you and ship them to you. It might still be cheaper than the actual cost of each polish.
