I purchased these polishes like over a month ago, lol...this is like a way overdue review. Actually, I'm not even going to call it a review because I haven't really tested them out to their full potential. But I will tell you what I know and what I think of them so far. I believe they cost about $5.00 and I bought 2 of them on BOGO.
Basically, the base color of these polishes are either clear or sheer, it's very hard to tell but the glitters are pretty fine. I don't get an opaque even color with one coat but two coats is more like it, so the product doesn't really live up to its name. On the other hand, it covers the nail really well and completely with two coats.
Gold Glitz is a very pretty mix of orange gold with orange glitters.
Purple gleam is a mix of black and fuchsia glitters. I think this look kinda punk/rock-ish.
Silver Dazzle is a mix of grey and silver glitters.
All these colors are so pretty and sparkly. I love them all! I also really like the fact that the glitters are quite fine so giving this polish a different look and texture. The application is smooth and two coat is definitely recommended for even distribution. I imagine the formula could become goopy after a while but a few drops of thinner can solve that problem. There is also a red and blue glitter polish, which I didn't purchase but just so you know that there are 2 other colors available that isn't pictured here.
Hit or Miss? Would you buy or have you bought some of these? Let me know what you think. :)
Oh these are so pretty! I dismissed them when I first saw them because I already have glitters in those colours, but now I see they're more complex and I need them! :P
ReplyDeleteI love the gold and the purple, they all seem really matte though. Is there a glossy top coat that you would recommend? I've been having problems with my nail lacquers lacking shine after a few hours to next day. I have kids so I wash my hands a lot and do a lot of dishes.
