Finger Paint Swatches - Santa's Magic and Elves Bells

You may still be able to find these at Sally Beauty's clearance section but they won't last long. These two polishes were part of their 2012 holiday collection.

Santa's Magic may not be a must have since I've seen many likes of it and I do also have some quite similar so I'm not sure why I even picked it up but nonetheless I don't regret it. It's actually easier to work with than my other holographic glitters. The clear base isn't too thick or goopy, which makes the application a breeze. I can't even remember if I did one or two coats on top of Essie Over The Knee.

Elves Bells applied like liquid gold. It has that antique gold look but with some holographic glitters in it. Super gorgeous! Much prettier and a bit more textured than what it looks like in the bottle. This is two coats and the pigmentation and application was excellent.

  6. Hello,

You had mentioned above how you have many polishes like the Finger Paints Santa's Magic, would you please be so kind as to email me with the brands and names of the polishes you would consider dupes. I ask because when they came out at the Sally Beauty Supply stores in my area, the display only featured 2 of each color in the set. I did not have the chance to get my hands on the Santa's Magic. I called an visited a total of 6 locations and all were sold out. I have searched Ebay and Amazon and Google but nobody as of this moment has any they want to sell. If I had the opportunity, I would be interested in buying anywhere from 1 bottle up to 10. I am only interested in the Finger Paints Santa's Magic. I sent an email to Sally Beauty Supply corporate office but they said all store have sold out. I am interested in hearing what you consider dupes so then I can see if maybe I can find the ones you suggest for sale and then I can have something as close to it as possible.

Additionally, if any of your readers would be interested in selling me a bottle that they have or have their own dupe suggestions, please feel free to contact me, anyone!

I appreciate your time and assistance!

    1. Similar glitters to Santa's Magic would be: Icing Frost Yourself, NYX Iced Glitter, and Revlon Stunning. So you do have a few options here. I think they are pretty close, especially the first two since I have them but Revlon stunning I don't have. I hope you find what you need :)

    2. Thank you for your prompt reply! I shall search those suggestions.

I do own "Revlon Stunning" and even though it is beautiful it will not work for this dupe because the holographic hex's are very spaced out. The NYX "Iced Glitter" looks similar to the Revlon Stunning based on the images I see of people's nails when I Google the name.
It is mainly clear base with many tiny tiny shimmer like glitter dots and then the big hex (not as big as the biggest in Santa's Magic)and spread out. Seems as though in one swipe you hardly get any hex. It can be built up after a few coats, but then you lose you're clear background because of all of the tiny shimmers. In the bottle it looks really nice.

What attracted me to the Santa's Magic is the fact that the hexs were so large and they didn't fill it with tiny shimmer glitter that clog up the clear base. The Icing "Frost Yourself" is looking promising.

I found one on Ebay by Orly called "Holy Holo" tht one may require some building up to become holo packed like the Santa's Magic but it looks promising ...

Thank You again and have a great Day !

    3. I see. I think Icing Frost yourself would be closest dupe to Santa's Magic. The base is rather thick and picks up a lot of glitters. They won't be as spaced out as Stunning or Iced Glitter. Holy Holo seems like a good alternative too.
