China Glaze Winter Holly Swatches

I picked up this beautiful glitter polish from Sally's Clearance section and you may still be able to find it for less like I did. Winter Holly was part of China Glaze's 2012 holiday collection and to be honest, I've been itching to get it the day I saw it but I'm so glad that I waited because I was able to get this for cheaper :D.

I can't even find the word to describe how beautiful it is. The glitters are small and pretty dense, the base is clear, and I don't remember if I did 2 or 3coats but I don't think I did more than 3 for sure.
The first two pictures are with a top coat and the last two is without top coat and personally even without the topcoat, I still really like the textured look it has. With a topcoat, the glitters look brighter and more multidimensional. This polish is awesome! I definitely would recommend if you don't have it yet.

What do you think? Do you like it with the topcoat or without?

  1. Wow! It looks great either way. Without the topcoat it reminds of how the new OPI Mariah "sands" polishes dry down.

  2. You have some of the most beautiful nail swatches I've ever seen. I have a mini bottle of this (that I've yet to wear). This is so pretty. I prefer it with the topcoat, but it really does look good both ways.
