This was another Revlon lipgloss I picked up as part of the BOGO sale from Walgreens last week. I had a very difficult time picking and choosing which color I wanted to try because they all looked so pretty and there was so many of them. If you haven't done so already, I just reviewed the shade Peony, and also reviewed Bordeaux about a month ago so if you are interested in these lipglosses, be sure to check these out as well.
Packaging
- I like it. It looks classy and high end.
- The cap has the same quilted pattern as the Colorburst Lipsticks.
- Comes with a doe-foot applicator; however, it is more rounded and is slightly curved-in the center. Because its shape, picks up more product.
- .20 oz or 5.9 mL
- Papaya is a shade that pretty much speaks for itself. They couldn't have picked a better name for it. It has pink and gold shimmers but they are very very fine.
- This line comes in a pretty decent variety of colors.
- Feels light-weight and non-sticky
- Sheerer than it looks in the tube but since this particular shade is a bit darker, it shows up fairly well and will look great on any skin tone.
- Last about 2 hours.
- It smells kinda like vanilla and caramel. The scent doesn't bother me and fades really quickly. The gloss has no taste.
Verdict
I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I think it's a pretty decent product for the price. The packaging is very nice. The pigmentation is decent on this particular shade but still leans on the sheerer side. I find it moisturizing though the staying power isn't that great. The price is reasonable but you could save a few bucks if you wait for it to go on sale. My rating would be 7/10.
I was thinking about getting this today and I couldn't decide whether I wanted to get this or Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in coral reef. Which do you think is prettier?
ReplyDeleteI don't have coral reef so I can't compare the two but I don't think you can go wrong with either one :)
