Nail Polish Haul (Again) - Nicole by OPI Target Exclusive

I went to Target last night to buy a new clock since the one that we have in the living room is no longer working. I have been on the look out for these new Nicole by OPI Target exclusive and I'm so happy that my local Target finally stocked them. I was mainly attracted by the glittery ones. They looked really pretty in the swatches that I've seen online. Before I continue, I just want to also mention that the silvery one isn't a Target exclusive but I thought I was too pretty to let go so I grabbed it along with the other two.

For Gold Times Sake...look at how gorgeous it looks in the bottle. I could just stare at it and be happy, lol.

Just Busta Mauve is also a pretty cool and unique glitter that doesn't look like anything I have.

Lastly, the non-Target exclusive is Look at Me, Look at Me...lol funny name but I'm looking at you alright! This is a fine glitter polish with a lavender tinge to it. Very pretty and I can't wait to swatch this one for you as well.

What do you think of my haul? Have you or do you plan on getting these Target exclusive nail polishes?

Zoya Akyra Swatches

Hello beautiful readers,

I'm back again with more nail polish spams from my recent Zoya haul. Hopefully, you are not nail polish sick of it yet cause I'm just starting to warm up, lol.

Before I placed my order, I knew for sure that I wanted Feifei but the rest of the nail polishes were just spontaneous picks for the BOGO free promo. Not gonna lie, I had to google a few swatches to help me determine what to pick. Akyra was one that really caught my eyes based on the few swatches that I've seen so I decided to give it a go. It's a gorgeous shimmery dark teal with a mystical appeal to it. It's hard to describe and so much more pretty in person. The formula is rather sheer and uneven. You will need at least 3 coats to get an opaque coverage. Not sure what happened but I did get a couple bubbles during application.

Another thing I really liked about this polish is that is has depth and dimensions that I find mesmerizing. I have quite a few teals in my collection but nothing like this one so I'm quite happy that I picked this out.

Zoya Evvie Swatches

Hello there,

I've been busy getting stuff ready for back to school for my kids and today was the official first day of school. Like most kids, my kids were dreading for this day, lol. I'm actually glad that summer break is over for them. They've spent way too much time doing nothing.

Here's another nail polish swatch for you and this is Evvie, a new polish that recently launched with Zoya's fall Designer collection. Evvie is a dark smoked teal with a gray undertone and creme finish. It has this very shiny finish that I really enjoy. This color does look like fall to me and I absolutely love it. The formula and ease of application was really good. I have two coats on the swatches and it looks perfect and opaque. It was not too thin or too thick and dries fairly quick.

Zoya Frida Swatches

Here's another swatch of my latest addition of Zoya nail polish. This is Frida from the Gloss collection.
Frida is a sheer jelly nail polish. Some people might like and some people probably won't.
It took me 4 coats until I reached the color payoff that you see in the swatches. I personally actually really liked this finish, in spite of the amount of coats that I had to do. I like the transparent squishy look it has. It's different from other nail polish that I have. It is also great for layering or creating a "jelly sandwich", which I can't wait to try. I have already an idea in mind, haha. Stay tuned for a NOTD with this polish.
One good thing that I like about this polish is that it dries fairly quick between coats. The color looks blotchy within the first few layers but don't worry, it will eventually look even on the 4th coat. It might be something most people won't want to do but like I said, it can also be layered with another polish so that you don't have to do so many coats.

What do you think of this finish? Love it or leave it? Have you tried doing a jelly sandwich?

Zoya Uli Swatches

Hello Beautifuls,

Before I forget, I wanna wish you all a happy Labor Day. I am so happy to get an extra day off work but we all know that it won't last too long. Next thing you know, I'll be back to work again.

I've had the chance today to swatch my new Zoya nail polishes that I just hauled and we are starting off here with Uli.

Uli is a peachy nude shade with a subtle gold shimmer. It looks gorgeous in the bottle but I'm not too crazy about how it looks on my nails. The color blends with my skin tone and looks kinda boring to me. I feel the urge to top it with some glitter or something else to add more oomph to it.
As far as the formula goes, I thought it was good. Not too thin or too thick, just the right consistency. You can get opaque coverage in two coats but I did 3 coats on the swatches because I had some uneven and bald spots.

If you like nude nail polish, this might be one to consider.

Autumn Plums Makeup Look

Last night, I wanted to post something but couldn't figure what, lol. Yeah, some days, I have no clue what I'm going to write. I had this urge to do swatches with the new Zoya nail polishes that I just hauled but decided that it would be useless since it's so dark. The swatches do come out better with natural lighting so I probably will end up doing them sometime today or tomorrow. I have a lot of products that I haven't  used enough to do a decent review. I really need to organize my stuff so that I don't always reach for the same products.

So I figured last night that I should try a fall inspired makeup since fall is going to fall upon us pretty soon. When I think of the fall colors, the first things that come to mind is yellow, red, plums, and browns. I'm also thinking about doing a less colorful fall look, perhaps something a little more earthtone, a little more grey, more muted.

I think I may need to incorporate more natural, earth tone, wearable looks. I guess the reason why I haven't done many of these is because I feel like they all seem to look the same. But I'm gonna try to see if I can make them a little more interesting. If you have any makeup look request, please feel free to ask. It gives me new ideas too.

Ok, enough ramblings and on to this makeup look...

Product used

Face
  • Physicians Formula Cashmerewear bronzer
  • MAC On a Mission Powder blush

Eyes
  • UDPP original
  • Benefit Plum-ing for Gold cream eyeshadow on the center and outter V of my eyes
  • Urban Decay Half Baked in the inner part of my eye lids
  • Using a wet brush, I applied Milani I Heart You on the center of my lids and blend it to the outter corner of my eyes.
  • To define my eyes, I applied L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum on the outterV and crease
  • Urban Decay Virgin to highlight my brow bone
  • Make Up Forever Eyebrow Corrector (3) to fill in my brows
  • I lined my upper lids with Physicians Formula Eyebooster Ultra Black and Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner in the shade Forever. I like how it adds a litte touch of warmth on the contour of my eyes. I prever to line a colored eyeliner over a black eyeliner because it gives my eyes more definition and depth.
  • I lined the lower lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Ramson. I used Smoldering Plum to smudge  the outter lower corner of my eyes and used NYX Gold Jumbo Pencil on the lower inner corner of my eyes.
  • ELF false lashes

Lips

As you can see, it's not crazy bright but not a subtle look either. You could pair this eye makeup with a subtle lip color to make it more daytime friendly. Otherwise, I think this look would be good for like a Thanksgiving or holiday party.

ZOYA BOGO Free Haul

Hello beautifuls,

About a week ago, Zoya announced a BOGO free promo and boy oh boy! That was exciting! On top of that there was a free shipping included (not sure how many you needed to get free shipping). There is no reason for you not to jump on this opportunity right? I hope you all had a chance to snag a few polishes. I'm so happy that due to this promo, I was able to get all this for $24.00. Definitely fits into my budget.

As you probably noticed at first glance, I got somewhat stuck into the Teal family. Just had to throw an odd ball in there.

From left to right: Frida, Akyra, and Wednesday

From left to right: Uli, Feifei, and Evvie

Included with my package was these free swatches of Zoya's latest collections. I think that it is a pretty neat idea that they include that.

If you took advantage of this sale, let me know what you got :D
