Zoya Frida Swatches

Here's another swatch of my latest addition of Zoya nail polish. This is Frida from the Gloss collection.
Frida is a sheer jelly nail polish. Some people might like and some people probably won't.
It took me 4 coats until I reached the color payoff that you see in the swatches. I personally actually really liked this finish, in spite of the amount of coats that I had to do. I like the transparent squishy look it has. It's different from other nail polish that I have. It is also great for layering or creating a "jelly sandwich", which I can't wait to try. I have already an idea in mind, haha. Stay tuned for a NOTD with this polish.
One good thing that I like about this polish is that it dries fairly quick between coats. The color looks blotchy within the first few layers but don't worry, it will eventually look even on the 4th coat. It might be something most people won't want to do but like I said, it can also be layered with another polish so that you don't have to do so many coats.

What do you think of this finish? Love it or leave it? Have you tried doing a jelly sandwich?

  2. Ooooh, the color is freakin' gorgeous, but goodness, with that many coats, I don't know if I'd have the patience for that! lol

    1. I know what you mean and I can be very impatient too but for some polishes, I won't mind, lol.

  3. By the way, thanks so much for your honesty on my post! May I ask what camera you use for the pictures you take? Quality is amazing! (sorry if I asked this before, by the way. Bad memory lol)

    1. I've used a few different camera on my blog so that's ok. Right now, I am using the Rebel T3i that I got from Luuux. Picture quality and colors are more true to life than the previous camera I've used. Of course also using the proper lighting helps tremendously as well.
