Pure Ice Crackle Polish Swatches

I came across these polishes last weekend when I was at Walgreens picking up some stuff for the family. It looks like every nail company is coming up with their own crackle polish since it has been such a nail trend hit. Anyways, I think I got these for $4.99 each, which is cheaper than other name brand like OPI and China Glaze. I only selected colors that I didn't already have. They actually have a large color selection to choose from. Unfortunately, these polishes don't come with names so I'm just going to give you the color number.

572CP is a shimmery yellow crackle. It didn't crack as nicely as I would have wanted and I redid it a few times because I was trying to pair it with a color that is complimentary. For the swatch, I have Zoya Shawn as the base color. It's a dark grassy green cream color. It gave this crackle polish the best contrast.

573CP is a lime green matte color. This actually cracked the best out of the 3 that I purchased. I wonder if that has anything to do with it being matte. I paired it with Milani In a Flash nail polish.

576CP is a gorgeous shimmery turquoise blue that reminded me a lot of the one OPI just came up with. It looks a lot prettier in the bottle when you see it in person. This one cracked the worst. I must have done at least 3 attempts in order for it to come out like the picture. I paired it with Zoya Pippa, a bright yellow cream color.

Overall, I am going to keep the lime color crackle polish because it gave me the best results. The other two were difficult to work with and didn't crack as nicely. Another tip I wanna share is use a topcoat and make sure it's completely dry before applying the crackle polishes. They seem to crackle better that way but still. I don't think the shimmery crackled color worked that well for me so I plan to return them.

Thanks for reading and if you would like to see check out my haul for the China Glaze Crackle Metal, please click HERE to go to my Luuux page. I didn't post it here yet because I plan on putting it up tomorrow with swatches included.

  1. Thank you for the review! I'm sorry you were disappointed with two out of the three. I do obviously agree that the lime green color cracked beautifully. I also wonder if that had anything to do with it being matte. Thankfully, the two colors I purchased a while ago crack nicely for me. I guess it just depends on the color. I'm not sure why some polishes from the same company crack the way they're supposed to, and others don't...whether or not they're matte :/

  2. Now I'm interested in that lime nail polish. I'm confused on the names as well. The white one I bought said flash? But now I'm not sure if the "flash" is for the collection and not the color? =o

I hope when I go back to get the red, it'll work a little better than the blue and yellow. It's disappointing those colors didn't work as well :(

  3. i love the lime the best! its very out of the ordinary compared to the other shatter collections

  4. Thanks for the review. I've been wanting ot try out crackle polishes for the longest time, but couldn't bear to shell out the money for them. I won't be going for this cheaper alternative.

  5. It's a shame about the other two but that lime green is AMAZING! I neeeeed it :P I think the yellow one still looks alright too, the blue is really wishy-washy though. You're lucky, we can't return used cosmetics in the UK!

  6. I loving the lime green! sorry it wasnt what you expected! wish it was better quality

  7. Huda, idk, I guess it's like that with every company where the quality varies from one product to another.

Lillian, man that really sucks that you can't return products that didnt work for you.
