Collective Haul - CVS, Ulta, Icing, Golden Rose, Sigma, and Cherry Culture

I may have been MIA on my blog for some time but I was wasn't MIA when it comes to hauling. It seems I buy things on the regular so if I don't do a post, I can easily forget what I recently purchased. I know it's a difficult habit to break but eventually, it's going to reach a point were I really need to do something about it.
Beauty hauls may not be interesting for some but for myself what I like about hauls is that it gives me shopping ideas, keeps me updated about new or limited edition products, and keeps me in the loop about current sales and promotion. With that said, let's move on to the haul.

CVS Haul
  • After reading the great reviews on Temptalia's site about these new Milani Baked eyeshadows. I felt like I had to get my hands on them. I purchased the shadows and nail polishes when CVS was having their BOGO 50% sale a few weeks ago.
  • For the eyeshadows, I picked up the color Blue My Mind and I Heart You.
  • For the nail polishes, I have Fresh Teal, Totally 80's, and Dress Maker (on the first picture). I've already played and swatched these nail polishes and I have to warn you to stay away from Totally 80's and Dress Maker. They may look intriguing or interesting in the bottle but applied extremely sheer. Luckily that wasn't the case with Fresh Teal.

Ulta Haul
  • Zoya Pippa, cream yellow
  • Essie Van D'Go, cream coral pink
  • China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (Neon). This color is just bright, gorgeous, and perfect for summer. Quickly got my attention when I was browsing through the nail polish racks.
  • Essence Where is the Party? nail polish. This is a green/purple duo-chrome polish with pearl finish. Very beautiful color. Check it out when you go to Ulta. It's a new color.
  • Essence Knock-Out eyeshadow matte. I love how pigmented and buttery this green eyeshadow feels. Something you don't often find in matte eyeshadows. The color is super pretty too.
  • Essence Joyride to Jupiter eyeshadow. Now that I think about it, I probably didn't need this. I probably have other similar color but when I swatched it in the store. It was hard to resist.
  • Essence nail fashion stickers. I'm excited to give these a try and let you know if they are worth a look.

Golden Rose is a cosmetic store that I found inside Chicago Ridge Mall while I was there on Memorial weekend. My first impression about the store was pretty good. They had a wide range of products and color selection. I was mostly pleased with the pigmentation on the eyeshadows and blushes and found them to be comparable to high-end products. The prices are very reasonable and range from $2.00 to $13.00 on average. They occasionally have sales and promos so wait for the sale before buying anything from them if you want to save. I received this free goody bag with miscellaneous products as part of their Holiday promo. Good news is they have an online store so if you can't make it there, you sure can order from them at http://www.goldenroseusa.com/.

Golden Rose Haul
  • Love Alpha #5 eyeshadow palette. They are quite pigmented and have this creamy metallic look and feel to them. I can't wait to do a look with these and see if they are really as good as I think they are. $7.99.
  • Golden Rose single eyeshadow #18 is a reddish dark plummy red or deepened berry color. It's very pigmented and the size of the eyeshadow is as big as a MAC blush. $2.99.
  • Golden Rose Extreme Sparkle eyeliner. I can say that I got totally sucked into the pretty mix of glitters although I am not so sure how well the liner works. Stupid me just realized after the fact that the only difference between these two eyeliners is that one has a clear base (2) and the other has a dark base (7). They both have the same colored glitter in them. I should've got a different color instead. $5.49 each.
  • Here I go with the glittery fetish again with the Golden Rose Multi-colored Diamond Lipglosses. 12 has blue and pink sparkles and is a bit sheer. It would work best layered on top of another color. 05 has gold and copper sparkles and is more pigmented than 12. $6.99 each.

Icing Haul

Ok, seriously if you seen my collection of nail polishes, I honestly do not need anymore polishes but I couldn't resist when I found these Icing Glitter polishes on sale for BOGO 50% off. From left to right I purchased the color: Frost Yourself, Party Hardy, Glimmer, and Golden Touch.
If you love glittery and sparkly stuff, I guarantee you will not be able to resist these, especially since they were on sale. They are regularly priced at $4.50 each.

I have been wanting these Sigma brushes for a while and finally caved in and bought them. I googled for discount codes and was able to get 10% off, which pretty much covered the cost of shipping.

I was only interested in the synthetic HD face brushes and unlike other Sigma brushes that I've tried, the first  impression on these didn't disappoint. They are very soft and dense. If you are looking into getting Sigma brushes. I think you should check these out first. $42.00 for the set and it includes:
  • F80 Flat top Kabuki
  • F82 Round top Kabuki
  • F84 Angled top Kabuki

I also went ahead and ordered two tapered E35 blending blush, costing $9.00 each. I realized after I received them is that I actually ordered the wrong brush. I wanted the E25. I couldn't tell from the picture. The E25 has slightly shorter bristles and is supposively the MAC 217 dupe. Oh well, not a huge deal. Gonna give it a try anyways. I received a complimentary free travel size E25 with my order. I'm planning on giving one of the E35 and the free brush to my sister.

Cherry Culture Haul
  • At last but not least, I placed an order with Cherry Culture because they had a 20% off sale during Memorial weekend and because I have been wanting to get my hands on these new Milani baked blush for the longest time. I have been unsucessful at finding them in local stores. I purchased the color Corallina, Luminoso, Doce Pink, and Berry Amore. $7.99 each (regular price).
  • NYX Slide On Pencil are just newly released waterproof pencil eyeliners and I can't wait to try them and report back to you. I have so many eyeliners already but if these work great, I would still be tempted to get more. I purchased the color Gun Metal and Jewel. $8.00 (regular price).
  • NYX Lipgloss Tea Rose. $3.99 (regular price)
  • Free Cherry Culture lip balm.
On a side note, I managed to get my hands on OPI Mermaid's Tear from Amazon and did not post a picture here but I will put it on a separate post. Whew...so that's it for my haul! I feel somewhat complete at the moment and until I see something else to lust for. Anymore of these hauls and someone is gonna need to drag me to rehab!
