Bobbi Brown Night Sky Long-Wear Eye Palette

I purchased this palette from the CCO a couple days after Christmas for $38.50. I have to admit I have a hard time keeping up my reviews with my hauls, even when I do 1 to 3 posts a day. I honestly didn't need this but I don't own any Bobbi Brown cosmetics and I've just been dying to try something from her line because I always hear great things about it so I finally gave in.

The palette measures approximately 5 x 2 x 3/4 inches. There is two cream shadows and two gel liners, each has its own individual lid, which I like because that would prevent the product from drying. The palette includes a large mirror and a dual ended brush.

One side of the brush is wider for applying the cream shadows and the smaller side is for the gel liners. The bristles on the smaller end is a bit too thick in my opinion and making it hard to draw a small thin line.

Rockstar long-wear cream shadow is shimmery light silver
Ocean Storm long-wear cream shadow is a shimmery dark blue with a purple-ish grey undertone
Black Ink is a black gel liner. As you can see it's not a very intense black and dries matte.
Thunder Storm is a greyish dark brown with specks of shimmers.

I was the most disappointed by the cream shadows. Although they do wear well and do not crease even without a base, applying them was rather difficult because they felt so dry. I can barely get anything out of the pot by using the brush. I have a little more success by dipping my finger, warming up the product, and apply it directly to my eyelid. Application is blotchy and the cream shadows dries too fast before I get a chance to even out the color. Boo!
The gel liners on the other hand applied like a dream. They are creamy and pigmented BUT Black Ink smudged slightly on my lower lash line after a couple hours of wear. However, Thunder Storm did not and lasted all day.

In conclusion, out of all the products within this palette, only Thunder Storm performed well. Black Ink was ok and the cream shadows were a nightmare, which is a shame because they were quite pretty. The packaging looked great. My rating for this palette is 5/10. I do not recommend that you purchase this. I will return it or exchange it for something else. It's not worth the money. I would expect more for $38.50 even if it is already at a discounted price.

  1. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. The colors are nice though. I'm still setting my eyes on the Bobbie Brow Gel Eyeliner in color caviar. Thanks for reviewing this.
