Hello! I'm back again and making up for the days I've been off from my blog. Wow, twice in a month, it rarely happens but it was an impulse buy...Well half the time it is I think. I just find other reasons to justify it when I can, lol. I don't remember how it started but I was just browsing online and I saw that Deborah Lippmann had some new glitters that recently came out. I didn't have much luck googling for swatches but I was glitterstrucked when I saw the pictures of how they looked in the bottle.
Anyhoo, since when does Sephora sell Deborah Lippman? I know I've never seen them in store before. It's great cause I was able to use Ebates, earn points, get free samples, and all that jazz.
Shake Your Money Maker has teal green glitters and holographic gold glitters in a sheer dark base. It looks gorgeous in the photos I've seen but I'm not so sure how nice it will look on the nails. Didn't look as pretty as I thought it would be once I saw it in person. Not sure if this is going to make me shake my money, lol...Nonetheless, I'm thrilled to take it for a spin.
Glitter and Be Gay...I don't think I've ever heard of that song. So guess what I did...I looked it up on Youtube, lol. It's an opera song. I guess it's no surprise I never heard of it since I don't really listen to opera. Ok, beside that this is so sparkly in person that it was almost difficult to tell how many different colored glitters was in the mix. It made my eyes hurt so good with sparkles. The holographic gold glitters are like wow damn bling it on girl-friend! But I spy some purple glitters are well.
Stronger may not be my favorite song from Kelly Clarkson fan but I really love Because of you. This song was like taking a glimpse at my past life. This one looks gorgeous in the bottle. I love the mix of glitters in there. I will definitely post swatches as soon as possible.
I used a coupon code to get a deluxe sample of Versace Yellow Diamond. Yes, I've been on a fragrance kick lately. I'm trying to shop for a new scent and this might just be IT! Initially, I was thinking of Dior J'Adore but I think I'm liking Yellow Diamond much more. It has just the right balance of citrucy, floral, and fruity. It smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers. Heavenly! I can't stop putting my nose wherever I apply it.
I would describe the scent as charming, bright, and lovely. It's a scent I can wear for any occasion. I don't see an Eau de Parfum version of it. It seems they only make it in Eau de toilette, which is a bit of a bummer for me.
Citron from Diamante, Pear Sorbet, Neroli, Bergamot, Nymphea, Freesia, Orange Blossom, Mimosa, Amber Wood, Palo Santo, Musk
I redeemed 100 points for a mini Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon and I am quite excited about it. Will definitely do a review on it.
As I've mentioned earlier, I'm shopping for a new scent and so I've been requesting perfume samples.
I used to have a sample of Dior J'adore and loved it. Not sure if I want to commit to a full bottle yet so I asked for another sample vial. It has a sensual and powdery floral scent.
Tocca Liliana smells lovely. Fruity floral with just a touch of sweetness to it. I don't like scents that are too sweet but the sweetness of this one is muted enough for me to enjoy it.
Hampton Privet Bloom. Did not like this one. My first impression was ehh it smells like air freshener! LOL. It has a very herbal and fresh scent to it. Not my cup of tea. Doesn't smell bad but I don't want to smell like I used air freshener on myself. I'd definitely would use this type of scent to freshen up my bathroom though.
They threw in a sample of Boscia Super Charge Overnight moisture and I definitely look forward to see how it feels.
That's it for my latest acquisition. I know the Deborah Lippmann glitters were probably too much of a splurge but if I don't love them, I don't plan on keeping them.
