LA Colors Lipstick Passion Flower - Swatch and Review

A few weeks ago, I was browsing at my local K-Mart looking for some stuff for my sister's baby shower. I heard that the store was closing down and there was a lot of stuff on clearance. Unfortunately, I didn't find much in the beauty isle. I'm gonna have to make a note to self to check out the store again. Perhaps as it comes closer to the closing time, there will be better deals on the makeup. I stumbled upon this lipstick and was totally digging the color so I scooped it up.

Packaging
  • Packaging is pretty cheap looking and has a clear plastic cover. The lipstick tube doesn't twist all the way down so you'd have to be careful not to nick the product when inserting and removing the cap.
  • .13 oz or 3.6 g

Product

  • Passion Flower is an medium fuchsia with a slightly purple undertone to it. The pigmentation was quite impressive. I wasn't sure what I was going to get with it but I was pleasantly surprised to see such an intense color pay off within one swipe. The texture of the lipstick was also nice and creamy. It didn't feel heavy and was quite comfortable on the lips. I find it just a bit moisturizing but it's definitely not drying.
  • I get about 5 1/2 hours of wear before it starts fading but it doesn't fade quickly either. This shade also has a fairly strong staining power that last for a couple more hours and become blotchy as it fades.
  • I detect a bit of a vanilla scent to it.

Final Thought

A pleasant surprise for an inexpensive lipstick. Creamy, comfortable, and pigmented, Passion Flower is one to grab if you love this type of shade.

  1. Wowza! That is a deal and it is so lovely on you! There are like 2 K-marts in Chicago, but I will brave the sketchy hood to find this :)

    1. Yikes! Maybe it would be easier for you to order it online. I went back to K-Mart today and the color was all sold out.

  2. Wow, I didn't expect this to be so pretty! I wonder what I could find at our local KMart? I haven't gone in there in years, but I might have to look for this lippie!
