My Biggest Lush Haul So Far

Hello lovelies,

Hope everyone had a good week and that your weekend is off to a good start. I know mine sure did after I hauled all these Lush goodies. This is probably my biggest Lush haul to date. I did not post my last Lush haul because I was already hauling a lot of products around that time and figure I would just do a review post instead after I had a chance to try out the products.
I gotta tell ya, Lush is really growing on me now...Getting addicting!

Reasons why I love Lush
  • Products are made fresh from organic fruits and vegetable, fine essential oils, and safe synthetics.
  • No animal testing
  • Little to no preservative
  • Environmental-friendly products and packaging
  • Most of their products smell amazing! Well, at least to me they do. They have a very distinctive scent as compared to other bath/beauty store.
I have not yet been disappointed with the Lush products that I've tried so far. I'm pretty picky when it comes to scent and I just refuse to use a product that has an offensive smell, no matter how great it is. I don't know what it is but some of Lush product's scent just get me so giddy and put me in a happy mood.

Ayesha is the 3rd mask that I bought from Lush. I've already tried BB Seaweed and Love Lettuce. I'm planning on doing a review soon on the ones I've already used. This mask supposedly has anti-aging properties. In the pot, the mask look like mud. The scent isn't particularly what I would consider heavenly. It has a fresh grassy scent with a little hint of spice. This tub cost $5.95 and has a 3 week shelf life.

I told the sale associate that I wanted a light and fast absorbing body lotion. She suggested the Vanilla Dee-lite and the Coco lotion. I went with the Coco lotion because I like that it has a softer and more subtle scent and smells like "real coconut". I hate the scent of artificial coconut. This body lotion is made of fresh pineapple juice, extra virgin coconut oil, mandarin and rosemary infusion. It smells oh so delicious but like I already mentioned, the scent is very subtle so it won't clash with whatever other scents you have on you.
The price is mid-range. $20.95 for a 7.9 oz tub.

Blue Ice is something new that I wanted to try. It has a very interesting invigorating peppermint scent.
Honey I Washed the Kids soap is a repurchase. I'm so addicted to this scent that I just had to buy it again. You can ask them to cut the soap however large or small you want it and the soaps are priced by weight. They last just like regular soaps, IMO. Anyways, enough said, saving the rest for my review, lol.

This was a promo goodie bag that Lush was selling. What's cool is that you get to try out 5 products for $19.95. They've even included a free tin to store the solid shampoo.

When I unwrapped the scarf, it was like BOOM! An explosion of amazing and delicious scent! O-M-G, as I am typing this, I can't help but dive my nose right back into that scarf. The combination of scent of all these products is bliss. Everytime I take a whiff at these goodies, I feel high, LOL.
The stuff I looked forward to try out the most from this set was the solid shampoo and conditioner. This is the first time ever I've had hair shampoo and conditioner in solid form. That's pretty cool! The only thing I've already tried is the sugar scrub, which I also really like. I'm pretty happy with this purchase. Probably the best deal I got out of this haul.

Of course, I always love to walk out of there with some free samples. I got 2 lotions and one hair conditioner.

Need I say I still can't believe how much I spent on all these stuff. Some of you may think it's insane. Why pay so much for a bar of soap, right? As a consumer, I put into consideration the value and the cost of the product I am buying. And sometimes you gotta put into consideration the cause. Lush is big advocate when it comes to environment. Handmade soaps and cosmetics are a luxury. You get great quality products, made with fresh and organic ingredients that smell freaken awesome! This is why you are paying more. The same concept applies to drugstore beauty products versus high-end. You pay about $6.00 for a drugstore lipstick but up to $30.00 for high-end. You supposedly pay more for the "quality". I know not everyone may feel or agree with how I feel about these products, my concept about value and cost, but keep in mind that I am just sharing with you my honest opinion. My sister just said to me "it's just soap! Go to Bath and Body Works. They have their semi-annual sale now" hahah and I'm like "not just a typical soap! It's special! You can't compare this to BNBW soaps" lol. It's like saying to me Covergirl eyeshadows are just as good as Urban Decay. I think the scent coming from the goodies in that scarf sitting at my desk is getting me all hyped. Perhaps I should let her borrow that Green Bag scarf and let her sniff it for a couple days and see if it does anything to her brain.

If you've never stopped by a Lush store, you are seriously missing out. The sales associates are usually pretty cool, friendly, and knowledgeable and will be more than happy to let you test out products and assist you in finding what you need.
Hope you found this haul interesting and helpful.
Let me know what you think of Lush or would you pay $8+ for a soap? haha, I'm curious to read what your thoughts are.

  1. What a great haul, Pang! I was lucky enough to try my very first Lush products, and it's all thanks to you! I can say that I've yet to be disappointed as well. They work so well! I remember last time you said that they had a Lush counter at your Macy's, and unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to go to mine to see if they have it. Maybe I can just call tomorrow and see if they do. Anyways, to answer your question, I'd most definitely pay $8+ for soap if it works very well, and in my experience, Lush products are worth every penny. It's not like you're paying that much for any old kind of soap. I'd never spend that much on a Bath and Body Works product, for example. I feel like I can get stuff like that elsewhere for much cheaper, and I feel like Lush in un-dupable. I love the company and what they stand for as well.

  2. I love Lush and it's super addicting. I have to restrain myself from going there too often! I totally agree with you about the price and quality. It just isn't the same as B&BW (which I'm probably never going to buy from again since I'm just not in love with their products). I actually went to a job interview for Lush but unfortunately didn't get the job :( I was a little bummed but I may try again in the future if they ever want to hire again :)

Can't wait for your reviews! I've never tried their soaps but I've tried Sabon soap bars and I'm digging soap bars over shower gels at the moment!

  5. I've never tried lush products and I'm not sure if I would spend that much on them or not... I tend to invest more in bath, body, and beauty products than I do anything else but I can get a set of what I consider "high-end" shampoo and conditioner for less than a little soap from Lush.

    Lush definitely seems intriguing...

  6. Huda, I'm glad that you enjoyed the Lush product I sent you. Definitely check with Macy's if they have a Lush counter.

AngelicBetrayal, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the job at Lush but I agree it won't hurt to apply again. You might get lucky next time. I feel the same way about B&BW. Only think I may continue buying from them is their handsoaps. The rest I am not really in love.

Jemimah, I might need to check out that shampoo next time I go there :)

Holly, I would love to hear about what sort of bath/body product you use. You can always ask the sale associate at Lush for samples if you want to try stuff out. Although, certain product they won't let you have sample of but they'll let you test it in store. Or ask for a smaller piece of soap to try out. It won't cost you much just to try to see if you like it.
