7 Fabulous Red Lipglosses and Swatches

Happy Sunday everyone!

This is the last batch of lip swatches. Well not really, I mean that I won't be doing another lipstick/gloss swatchaton for a little while. It was fun but a lot of work to put them together. I still got my nudes, browns, corals, and pinks....yikes! I tossed out a few lipsticks last month because they've gone bad and that's when I realize that I needed to get everything swatched before they expire.

These are all the red glosses that I own. Not a big collection there and it's probably because I have a love and hate relationship with them but I think they are all amazingly gorgeous. I love red lips for sure. It's such a classy, elegant, and at the same time bold color to wear on the lips. What I don't love is that they are a little messy, bleeding, transferring, and they get on my teeth, which annoys me to no end. The truth is I wear them very rarely. It's such a shame because these swatches just reminds me of how beautiful they look.

Do you rock red glosses? If yes, tell me which one is your favorite red gloss.

Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss Succubus

Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss Succubus - gorgeously pigmented and juicy looking cherry red gloss.

MAC Kissable Lipcolour Strut Your Stuff

MAC Kissable Lipcolour Strut Your Stuff (limited edition) - a bright neutral red that appears a little warmer on my skintone. This feels more like a liquid lipstick.

Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lipgloss Siren

Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lipgloss Siren - probably the most gorgeous metallic red shimmer gloss I have ever seen. It looks a bit warm. It's very saturated and thick.

Chanel Rouge Allure Lacque Coromandel 72

Chanel Rouge Allure lacque Coromandel 72 - fabulous and gorgeous warm red liquid lipstick gloss with subtle golden microshimmers. The shimmers aren't noticeable in person but definitely there with the up-close shot to give it that wow factor.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Fire

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Fire - cherry red gloss. An excellent dupe for Illamasqua Succubus with a thinner formula.

Jordana Incolor Pretty Shine Luxury Gloss Gorgeous 09

Jordana Incolor Pretty Shine Luxury Gloss Gorgeous 09 - glossy berry red with garnet shimmers. Absolutely gorgeous color. I believe it is discontinued. I can't find it at Walgreens anymore. Not a fan of the smell. It smells like a fruity cough syrup.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer Big Bang

Rimmel Show Off lip Lacquer Big Bang - bright, extremely saturated, and juicy neutral red.

  1. They are all gorgeous... But I have a love/hate as well red gloss always bleeds on me. And you have to reapply so frequently. Thank you again for showing these swatches!

  7. I do like the Revlon glosses, but they have no staying power on me, so I only have a couple and I haven't bought any more. I don't like red gloss so much as other shades because I don't really care for super-shiny reds--I prefer a satin or matte finish.
