China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome - Haul and Swatches

Well today after I got off work, something tells me I just needed to stop by Sally Beauty Supply, lol. I usually stop by Sally to check if they have any new nail polish and there was quite a few but I tried very hard to resist and only came home with two.

These two nail polishes are from the new China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome collection. What a fancy name! When I first heard about this collection and saw the promo pictures I was super duper excited. However, I was a little disappointed when I actually saw the product in person. Well at least, these were the only two I thought might be worth a try.

Swanky Silk is a champagne / pink duochrome. I really like this color combo but the formula leaves something to be desired. It's rather sheer and what you see is 3 coats. It looks pretty decent on the third coat. I did notice a bit of bubbling and felt like the formula isn't as smooth as I would like it to be. You can see some brush strokes but they don't look too obvious. I will do a swatch comparison with Nails Inc Stratford because it looks strikingly similar to Swanky Silk. Other than the small flaw in the formula, it is still do-able and I dig the duochrome of this one.

Unpredictable looks absolutely stunning in the bottle. It literally glows when you look at it. The color shifts from green to teal and blue. Here I have 2 coats and it gives a pretty good coverage there.
I really wished that this shade had as much depth as it did on the bottle. On the nails, it is super shiny and metallic. I mean wow look at how much light it reflects, it's insane! I have a feeling this is a shade you either gonna love or hate, lol. There are some visible brush strokes and a bit of bubbling but if you are careful during application, it won't look too bad. I personally think this is a pretty cool color. I don't have anything like it in my stash.

Have you spotted this collection yet? Are you planning on getting any of the polish?
