Small MAC Daphnee Guinness Haul and Swatches

I made a trip to the MAC counter yesterday to check out their new collection and picked up only two items. As my MAC collections grows, I'm seeing more and more colors that look similar to what I already have in my stash. Unless MAC comes up with an off the hook collection, I'm only finding myself buying a couple items sparingly.

I certainly do not need anymore blushes but when I swatched Azalea Blossom, I quite liked the color and it looked different from colors I already own. I think the gradient from pink to purple is pretty cool to look at. The blush is $26.00.

I swatched the purple shade, the pink, and the two colors mixed. I think it looks gorgeous when both colors are mixed. I find that this blush is not very pigmented and you will need to build up the color so it would be best suited for fair to light medium skintone.

Another product that caught my eyes is Seasoned Plum. This is a Pro LongWear lipcreme, which are designed to last longer. These are pigmented and quite creamy upon application but set in within a few seconds. What I love about Pro LongWear lipcreme is that they last over four hours on me, stay put, and don't slip or slide. The only con to these lipcremes is that they are not very moisturizing and may want to reach for a lip balm after a few hours of wear.
Seasoned plum is unlike any purple lipstick that I own. It's a bold color that isn't too dark or vampy but surely makes a statement. If you are adventurous with colors, you definitely should check Seasoned Plum. MAC Pro LongWear lipcreme retails for $17.00.

On the face shot, I am wearing both Seasoned Plum and Azeala Blossom.

What do you think of these colors? Is that something you'd wear?

  1. I had two of the pigments and a cremesheen glass from this collection on my wishlist but I received a ton of makeup for my birthday this month so I was gonna hold off on the Mac. But I got a Mac giftcard for Christmas so I might drop by just to swatch some things :P The blush ombre looks really pretty!

  3. Azalea Blossom was the only thing I picked up from this collection - swatches unseen - just because I really wanted something from this collection and this was the only thing that truly caught my eye. I love the ombre design and your swatches look gorgeous, so now I really can't wait to receive it! BTW that lippie looks fab on you! ♥
