New Sinful Colors Glitters - Swatches

I'm not particularly fond of Sinful Colors but they recently came out with a pretty glittery collection and I felt like I just had to grab a couple of them. Like most Sinful Colors polishes, I usually find the formula to be thick, goopy, and a bit of work. The base was on the thicker side but to my surprise, it wasn't as goopy as I expected. The one positive thing about it is that it allows the brush to pick up a little more glitters and one or two coats is more than enough to cover your entire nail with sparklies. What attracted me to these polishes was the mix of diamond shaped glitters. Well, you actually have to fish a bit for those diamonds because there's much more small glitters than diamond glitters.

Scene Stealer has a clear base and a mix of small fuchsia pink and rose gold glitters and pink diamond glitters. Looks so pretty in the bottle but a little disappointed on the nails. There's not much contrast between the color of the diamond glitters and the small glitters so it kind of get lots in the mix, if you know what I mean. These diamonds aren't much of a scene stealer in my opinions. I'm rather disappointed. This is my least favorite.

For the base color, I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Lavender Cloud. Swatch on the ring finger was done without a base color.

Rags to Riches has a clear base, small green glitters, larger holographic teal hex glitters, and holographic teal diamond glitters. I love the different mix of glitters in this one. They play nice with each other. This is definitely my favorite out of the three.

For the base color, I used 3 coats of OPI Sea Ya Later Sailor! Swatch on the ring finger was done without a base color.

Shine On Me has a clear base, small holographic glitters, larger pink hex glitters, and holographic pink diamond glitters. There's a good contrast between the glitters here as well.

For the base color, I used 3 coats of Sephora by OPI Sin-cerely Violet. Swatch on the ring finger was done without a base color.

What do you think of the new Sinful Colors Glitters? Did you pick any up?

  1. Those polishes are SO pretty! I saw these the last time I was in a Rite Aid and was SO tempted, but decided not to get any since I have SO many glitter polishes that have gone unused. I also agree with you about Rags to Riches - that's my favourite of the 3 too!

  4. These are so pretty. I actually like Sinful Colors polishes and have quite a few...I do find that some of them are a little thick, but a little thinner remedies that for me. I will probably pass on these because even though I'm not that much of a glitter lover, I do have plenty of glitters that rarely get much love from me. The one glitter that has become my absolute favorite and have worn more than any other is OPI's Which is Witch. Love that one!

  5. I saw these at the drugstore the other day...your pics are great as always!! I do wish more glitters would be full or at least fuller coverage. But these are very pretty over the pale bases.

    1. I think if you do 3 coats, you can get near full coverage with some of these.
