Essence 3D Eyeshadow Irresistible Purr-ple - Swatch and Eye Look
Hi Lovelies,
I purchased this eyeshadow duo, Essence 3D Eyeshadow Irresistible Purr-ple, at Ulta a few weeks ago for only a few bucks. I thought the 3D effect of the pressed eyeshadow was cool, not that it really matters, because I was mostly drawn to the purple shade.
On the left, we have a shimmery purple-ish lavender with blue undertone and gorgeous blue micro glitters.
On the right, we have a frosty light silver.
They can be applied both wet or dry and as you can see the pigmentation is much more intense when wet. I wasn't too impressed with the pigmentation when applied dry but it looked fairly decent when paired with a good primer. I didn't have any fall out during application but from past experience, I've had better luck with other Essence eyeshadows. This duo has gorgeous colors but pigmentation (and texture on the purple shade) could slightly be improved.
Overall, I think it's still a fairly good eyeshadow duo, especially since the pigmentation can look more vibrant when wet.
I used both eyeshadow colors on this eye look. It was applied dry over Urban Decay Primer Potion.

So pretty. Do they look good when mixed together?
ReplyDeleteOh yes! It takes on a lighter more silvery kind of purple.
DeleteWhat's that??? OH I hear Ulta calling my name... I love essence products - so far I haven't hit a bad one for the price!
ReplyDeleteYeah I really wished Ulta carried more Essence products. They are pretty good and affordable, which is one of the reason why I always check them out.
DeleteThis looks pretty. I don't think there is any shadow color you can't wear. I've never tried an essence product.
ReplyDeleteI believe here in the States, Ulta is the only retailer that sales the brand. It's fairly inexpensive and the quality is pretty good to decent. Worth checking out when you get a chance. The majority of their products are less than $6.00.
