Holiday Shopping Haul From Ulta

I went out to Ulta today. Trying to see if I can find some gifts for a few people.

I bought these little bubbly guys, lol. Aren't they just cute or what? I thought so. They were 5 for $10.00

I got this cute penguin basket free with the purchase of the bubble baths.

I grabbed a few of these Burt's Bees lip balm and cuticle sets. They are $4.99 each and I like how cute they are packaged. Plus they are great to give as gifts for the cold winter.

Another gift I bought for someone is this Tarte blush and bronzer set. $15.00.

I found a few items on clearance. The NYX eyeshadows were $2.49 each and the Physicians Formula baked eyeshadows were $3.79.

On the left I have Earthy Shimmer, which is a shimmery light gold with green undertone. On the right, I have Lime Green.

From left to right:
  • Free OPI base coat with purchase of OPI nail polishes
  • Bronzed to perfection, on clearance for $4.99. I think the name suits it well. It's a bronze color with orange undertone and gold shimmers.
  • Bling Dynasty, on clearance for $4.99. I just thought this color looked nice. It's more of a muted antique gold. It's actually not as bright as pictured.
  • Warm & Fozzie, $8.50. OMG, my jaw literally dropped when I saw this polish. It's from the Muppet collection, which almost sold out at Ulta. There was only a couple colors left. I am so glad this polish didn't sell out yet because it is so gorgeous! If you didn't get it yet, you need to hurry and get it, seriously! lol.

Ulta was having a buy 2 get 1 free for China Glaze polishes so I felt the need to grab these, lol. China Glaze are sold for $7.00 at Ulta, which is pretty expensive! They are cheaper at Sally's and other places that sells China Glaze. Anyhoo, I picked some colors from their new and limited holiday collection.
  • Mistletoe Me! is a metallic fuchsia. I don't know why I've been really liking metallic finishes lately.
  • Ultamate Holiday shimmery gold with holographic glitters. It's different from the ones that I have since the glitters in this polish are much finer. This is exclusive to Ulta.
  • Fireside Glow is like a rose gold with holographic glitters. I actually like the fact that the glitters in both of these China Glaze polishes are finer.

I saw these ULTA jumbo pencils and swatched the tester to see how they are and they felt pretty creamy and pigmented. Reminded me of the NYX jumbo pencils, except that these comes with an applicator and I really liked these colors. They were on BOGO free. Normally retails for $8.00 each so the BOGO sales makes them $4.00 each. I'll be keeping two and gift the other two.

Well guess what...when I got home I found that one of the NYX eyeshadows broke while it was in my bag. So before it crumbles into a million pieces I quickly pressed it back in the pan. I used a paper towel soaked in a bit of alcohol and pressed it back into the pan. Tada! I know it doesn't look pretty anymore but it worked and the shadow stays in the pan.

Stay tuned for another haul...YES, another again! SMH.

  1. Love your haul and quick thinking for the NYX eyeshadow. I would have totally been at a loss!

  2. Glad you found this helpful. As long as most of the pigments are still in the pan you can quickly press the broken pieces back.
