Bongo Nail Polish Sweet Cheeks Swatches

I rarely shop at K-Mart but I was there a few weeks ago and saw that they had a new display of BONGO nail polishes. Every time I see new displays, I'm always checking out if anything interesting gets my attention and the only thing that stood out for me was Sweet Cheeks.

Sweet Cheeks is a sheer jelly pink with pink and blue shimmers that gives it a bit of a duochrome appearance. Surprisingly, I got a fairly decent coverage with just 3 coats. The formula wasn't too thick or thin and was really easy to apply and work with. The brush is slightly flat and just the right size for me.

I think it looks pretty on its own but I've swatched it over other colors. The duochrome effect looks much prettier and noticeable over a darker base.

My main complaint would be the drying time. This polish seems to take forever to dry. I thought it was $2.99 or at least that is what I remember seeing on the display but when I looked at my receipt, they charged me $3.99. Hmm...I'm annoyed when stores don't get their prices right.

What do you think of this polish? Is this something you'd want to try?

  1. I never would have thought to pair a polish like this with darker colours underneath! I've never heard of Bongo before but this looks so pretty.

    1. It's new so I guess that's probably why not too many people know about it. Layering polishes can be fun and creates new looks.

  5. This is really pretty on it's own and swatched over the other colors. I can't deal with polishes that take forever to dry though.

    1. Me too. It messed a few of my nails cause it was taking too long to dry.

  6. I found this at Kmart on clearance yesterday for .74 cents. So glad to see it swatched. I was going to give it away as a gift in a grab bag. Thanks for the review. :)
