Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter (Birthday Sample) - Review and Swatch
The Benefit Watt's Up highlighter I have here was from the Sephora Birthday package for 2013. If you're not a Sephora Beauty Insider then I would urge you to sign up because it's free and you get a free birthday gift on your birthday.
Watt's Up is a shimmery light champagne color that does a very good job at mimicking a natural glow. The shimmer is subtle and fine. It's described as a cream to powder product. I like that kind of finish as it seems to last longer and this particular highlighter was also very easy to blend with my fingers.
Frankly for me, it's not something I need. I have natural shine myself and this looks no different than my natural shine. I prefer highlighters with a bit more "color" to them, otherwise highlighter is a product I often skip on and can honestly do without in my beauty stash.
Overall, this is a nice highlighter for those who want or need a bit more luster on their face. If you are naturally shiny, like myself, you probably won't need to pay $30 (the full size product) for something that will give you the same result.
Do you use highlighters regularly? Which one is your favorite?

I think I like it just because it's mini :) I don't wear highlighters often because it doesn't make that big of a difference, but maybe I need to practice some technique :)
ReplyDeleteYeah that's how I feel. It doesn't make that huge of a difference so I often skip on them.
DeleteNice highlighter!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely nice but probably not everyone will need it.
DeleteThis is so pretty, I have been using MAC's cream colour base in Pearl with Lightscapade on top, but I love the look of this one too xx
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me that I have a MAC cream color base that I've completely forgotten about.
DeleteThis highlighter looks nice...but I don't feel I would need something like this.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I feel too
DeleteI usually only go for highlighter if I'll be in certain lighting (like a candlelit dinner) where it's really, really noticeable. Otherwise it doesn't show up that much on me!
ReplyDeleteTrue, highlighters are good for certain lighting..otherwise, it's mehh!
