Revlon Lip Butter Review and Swatches

Hello beautifuls,

I finally got my hands on these much raved and hyped Revlon lip butters. By now, I'm pretty sure many of you tried a few of these already or must have seen a ton of swatches.
At first, I wasn't too interested in the product because it seemed like it was going to be like either a tinted lip balm or a glossy lipstick. But because I read so many great reviews on these, I just felt like I needed to give them a try.  I purchased these at Walgreens since they were and still are BOGO 50% off.

I don't know for sure how many shades available they have but there's quite a lot. The shades I scooped up are:
  • Cherry Tart - pinkish red with a bit of pink shimmers. It looks kinda blotchy on the picture and it may be because my lips were dry but this shade feels a tad bit more slippery than the other two.
  • Pink Truffle - nudy brown with pink undertone. My new favorite nude lipstick! Very office appropriate, which I like.
  • Sweet Tart - blue based pink. Looks quite pretty and a little bright on me but not so bright that I'd be worried to wear it out!

Packaging
  • My biggest gripe about this product has got to be the packaging. I always have to fuss with the cover when trying to pull it out. The reason is because it covers most of the length of the lipstick tube so you are left with just about half an inch (or less) to hold on to at the bottom.
  • The translucent colorful packaging looks kinda cheap but ok.
  • .09 oz or 2.55 g
Product
  • I'm quite impressed with how comfortable they feel on the lips. They have the texture of a lipbalm and feel moisturizing.
  • Aside from Cherry Tart. I'm glad that they don't feel slippery and apply evenly.
  • The colors are between sheer and semi opaque. The darker shades have a better pigmentation than I expected.
  • They last about 2 hours on me but they won't survive through a meal.

Final Thought

I really love how comfortable and moisturizing they feel on my lips, that characteristic is comparable to some of my high-end lipsticks. Unfortunately, they don't last very long but I'm quite surprised with the pigmentation. They were much more pigmentated than I expected so you kinda get like a lipstick and lipbalm all in one. The packaging would be its biggest flaw. Other than that, if you don't mind reapplying your lip product, then you will enjoy these.
My rating 9/10.
