December 2011 Favorites
I can't believe December is over and here we are already in 2012. WOW, life really is too short!
These are the products I've used and loved in December. As you can see, there is quite a bit of nail polishes in this post because I've been buying them like crazy!
1. Essie Luxeffects As Gold As It Gets. Flaky gold topcoat.
2. Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times. Flaky iridescent orange/green topcoat.
3. Deborah Lippmann Forget You. Black base with multi colored glitters.
4. Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe. Dark blue base with blue and green glitters. This one looks amazing!
5. OPI Warm & Fozzie. Love this color. Dark bronze base with pink, gold, and light green sparkles. I think it's pretty unique!
6. Revlon Naughty. Very similar to Chanel Paradoxal.
7. Anise Intense Color Run for the Money. I don't know any other foiled teal like this one. I really like this color.
8. Estee Lauder Double Wear Shadow Creme Buttercreme. I love this color. Really great for a neutral every day look. FYI, the lighter shades lean a bit sheer but still add a little pop of color and sheen to your lids.
9. Estee Lauder Double Wear Shadow Creme Cafe Au Lait. This is another nice neutral shade that I really been enjoying.
10. Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow Flatter Me. These Benefit cream shadows are simply amazing.
11. Urban Decay Glide On Rehab. This was part of a limited edition set. I find that they work best as eyeliners rather than all over lid eyeshadow since they do set pretty quick, making blending a bit of a challenge.
12. Urban Decay Glide On Sin. This is great for highlighting your eyes.
13. Dr Bonner's Magic Soap. This soap is a miracle worker when it comes to cleansing your brushes. It literally takes everything off and still being gentle on the bristles. It's quite concentrated but I prefer to use it that way rather than diluted. I find that it doesn't cleanse my brush as well once it is diluted. It works especially really well on face brushes to remove foundation. Even long lasting foundations melt off your brush with this soap! Yes it's that good! I highly recommend this product! Can be found at Walgreens and Target.
14. Physicians Formula Cashmerewear Bronzer. I probably have better high end bronzers but I've been using this one almost every day for some reason, lol.
15. NYC Wild Orchid. I am not sure if you will be able to find this shade or if it is even available but I purchased it from the dollar store a while back and the shade and formula of this lipstick is amazing! It's similar to MAC Aristo-Cat but lighter, less purple, and has a gold sheen. I have a couple of these lipstick and they are so cheap, about a dollar a piece, yet the quality is as good as MAC.
16. NYX Black Label Lipstick Bling. This is a the perfect nude pink to wear at the office, lol, and I probably have a dozen of these types of color. The Black Label formula is one of my favorite when it comes to drugstore/affordable brands.
17. Fresh Sugar Lip Polish. It does such a great job at exfoliating my dried flaky lips, leaving them feeling very soft.
18. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. Whenever I combine the Sugar Polish along with the lip treatment, it's like giving my lips a spa, lol. I never wanted to spend a lot of money on lip balms but trying these Fresh lip products changed my mind. They are so much more moisturizing and conditioning than any lip balms I've tried.
19. Milani EasyBrow pencil Dark Brown. I'm quite happy with this brow pencil. I like the fact that it is retractable, the color worked for me, and I love the brush. It blends the color very well into your brows, making them look so natural.
20. Ponds Wet Cleasing Toilettes. Previously, I was using the Epielle Green Tea cleasing tissue that you can get from Big Lots but I got these when CVS was selling them for buy one get one free and because I heard good reviews. These are much better quality. I really love these for removing my face makeup. I use a separate remover for my eyes makeup but for the face, this is a great quality wipe because it's thick. The only thing I don't really like about this is the packaging. It's quite economical and functional but I prefer a better way to dispense the wipe. Secondly, I find the scent a bit strong. It's not unpleasant but doesn't need to be this strong.
That's it for my December Favorites. I don't know if I need to do product favorite posts for 2011. That sounds like a lot of work, lol, and I'm already doing them monthly but if you think I should give it a try, let me know.

the PF bronzer looks so pretty but I've been skeptical about buying it because I'm not too keen on pressed PH face products and I really don't need another bronzer.
ReplyDeleteI use Dr Bonner's for my brushes as well. I started off with the peppermint one and then switched to the milder baby one. Def doesn't work as well.
ReplyDeleteSugarbumpkin, I understand. It's not as great as my high end bronzers but for a drugstore, it works for me, plus I got it on sale so I didn't pay much for it. It was just something I was curious to try.
ReplyDeleteadthenshesmiled, I have the lavender scent and I like it much.
